OpenText Cybersecurity product, Webroot Internet Security with Antivirus, outperformed competitors in its latest round of testing by the performance benchmarking firm PassMark for February, 2023 - taking the highest overall score in the test!

For this report, the company conducted objective testing of nine security products, including Webroot SecureAnywhere Internet Security with Antivirus. Tests measured efficacy and performance in 15 categories including:
Installation size
Installation time
Boot time
CPU usage during idle and scan
Memory usage during idle and scheduled scan
File Copy, Move and Delete
File Write, Open and Close
File Compression and Decompression
Chrome launch time and browse time
Webroot stood out in several categories in addition to taking the overall best score awarded to any security products. Some categories were not just won, but won handily. Here are a few of our favorite wins.
Installation Size - The following chart compares the total size of files added during the installation of Antivirus products. Products with lower installation sizes are considered better performing products in this category.
Installation Time - The following chart compares the minimum installation time it takes for Antivirus products to be fully functional and ready for use. Products with lower installation times are considered better performing products in this category.
Registry Keys Added - The following chart compares the number of Registry Keys created during the security products installation. Products with lower key counts are considered better performing products in this category.
Boot Time - The following chart compares the average time taken for the system to boot (from a sample of five boots). Products with lower boot times are considered better performing products in this category.
File Write, Open and Close - The following chart compares the average time it takes for a file to be written to the hard drive then opened and closed 180,000 times. Products with lower times are considered better performing products in this category.
