Hi. I had an old expired version of Webroot in my pc. I bought a new version in CD. I inserted and scanned my files. at the end it says that my pc is infected and I need to buy a new version, but it doesn't seem it is reading the cd. cause it doesn't ask for my keycode. What do I should do? tHanks!

Hello and Welcome to the Webroot Community!

Are you using the New WSA since the 2012 version or the older version from 2011 back? If it's WSA please do a clean reinstall without the CD?

Can you please do a clean reinstall of WSA and Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AANA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
Please let us know if that resolves your issue?

Thanks,

Daniel 😉
