Hi Webroot Community, I’ve recently joined Webroot as the new Product Manager for Consoles. Whilst I’ve worked in IT for nearly 20 years, the world of cyber resilience is new to me, so I’ve got lots to learn and can’t wait to get started.I'm really looking forward to getting to know everyone on here and I’m sure it’s going to be a great place to get feedback and ideas to make our Products even better! You’ll no doubt see me popping up on the various posts and forums over the next few weeks, but if you have any questions that I can help with or just want to say hi, please post them below. Finally, I would just like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas & Prosperous New Year!
I have a 6 year old mac. Still works fine. I uninstalled Webroot. Then reinstalled it and i’m told my version of Mac OSX is too old. I’ve tried installing a new operating system on my mac but my mac is too old. Do i need to buy a new mac to use webroot? Can i access an older version of webroot as i still have a 1 year Webroot subscription to use
I’m using Google Chrome web browser and when I input my HP printer URL in order to enable web services, I get the NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID saying the site is not secure. Where do I go to allow this site or to tag it as safe?
I have Windows 10 Home and use Firefox browser which recently update to V.83. I use Webroot (WSA) version 22.214.171.124. Now when I do a search, only spinning circles appear next to each search result (no green check marks, etc.). The Webroot icon still appears on my computer and when I checked my Firefox add-ons, it says Webroot Threat Shield is enabled. I disabled it, then re-enabled, then restarted my computer, but this did not help. Is there a glitch due to the new Firefox update? Anyone else having this issue? What can I do to fix this? - Nancy
I have installed the app many time but now can install on 1 iMAC machine. On trying to open app, no window appears to allow for next steps. I have checked for hidden windows and there are none. I do have a “?” in the Webroot app Icon in the Dock.
I want out of this community, I want whomever it is in their finite mental capacity, that is continually sending me these insane badge notifications to cease and desist or there will be repercussions. I deleted this crappy program from my computer a long time ago and I want nothing to do with a community which labels my responce ( as vulgar when I used no vulgarity whatsoever, yet the person who slammed my post was not ) to someone calling my posts as shady, underhanded and or hiding something which was NEVER the case.
hello all, i need help. Last Night I was browsing with Chrome, Chrome is my main browser. Something happened, can't say exactly what because I'm always multitasking different things. It might have been a Flash-related problem, maybe videos failed to run or load - I don't recall. Chrome crashed and closed. I couldn't get it back open. so can you help me solve this?
Yesterday I noticed that, unusually, windows asked if Webroot could have access; I agreed and thought nothing of it. The same happened this morning - this time there was a Webroot icon on my taskbar telling me a scan was overdue; my settings allow a scan overnight or, if missed, when the system is next switched on, I could not understand how it could be overdue. I clicked the icon, a black Webroot control panel came on. I tried to start a scan, Captcha appears but wouldn’t let me click the continue button, in the background all of my settings were now off and I could not change them. It also showed zero scan history but the correct subscription remaining details. Webroot was not on my apps list but task manager showed Webroot was consuming 88% of my CPU resources. Windows security centre did not show an alert as it had reverted to Microsoft Defender I thought I would uninstall and reinstall Webroot. I went to Windows control panel and found Webroot there and clicked uninstall. I then g
Whenever I log into my online banking account, I get a pop up that says my password has been exposed in a data breach and that Chrome recommends I change the password. It then gives me a link to my bank. When I called my bank’s tech support, they said there has been no data breach and that it is likely a phishing attempt, and that I should contact my virus protection provider. What do I do now?
