Chrome Not Work Properly, Process Starts Then Is Killed

hello all, i need help. Last Night I was browsing with Chrome, Chrome is my main browser. Something happened, can't say exactly what because I'm always multitasking different things. It might have been a Flash-related problem, maybe videos failed to run or load - I don't recall. Chrome crashed and closed. I couldn't get it back open. so can you help me solve this?

Definition Update Frequency

Our insurer requires information regarding the frequency of updates to definition files. How often are definitions updated? And if there is no set schedule, what is the greatest number of days between historical definition updates?

Cant run Webroot scan on husbands side of our only computer

Husband and I share a computer. I have Webroot icon and scan fine on my side of computer. He is not recognized by Webroot and cannot scan on his side. Are we still protected on his side?

Webroot desktop consule

When I logged into my computer this morning, a Microsoft message popped up indicating that my virus protection was off. I looked at Webroot and saw that it is and was on. However, it says there have been only 12 scans when I saw earlier this week there were 40+ scans. I proceeded to rescan and the computer was fine. As I continued working on my computer, the Microsoft notice popped up again indicating that the virus scan was off. It was not. Webroot indicated that the last scan was more than 35 days ago. That is also false. I rescanned and it showed everything clean. I logged directly into the Webroot console and could see that the scan is occurring. I am confused by this.

Massive emails every day

Hello All,Not long ago I suddenly started receiving over 1,000 email every day. All from people/companies I never heard of, and from all over the world. There were too many to delete; I couldn’t handle it so I was forced to delete my Comcast email account and create a new one. I had a lot of fallout from this because my email adr was interwoven into many other aspects of my PC life.Since then I am back to normal but wonder if anyone else has ever experienced this and, if so, did you learn why it happened and who did this to you? Is there anything that Webroot could have done to prevent it?Thank you!

PHONE SCAM FROM WEBROOT??

I believe I was scammed through a fraudulent webroot call. They accessed my PC through teamviewer and said that my network was comprimised and that there were people actively aswell as waiting to get on to my network wher they would be able to see any of my personal information. They then began to attempt to "clean my network" and "block the hackers", when they suddenly said that I would have to pay them for an SSL. They initially said it would be $300 dollars then they told my grandmother they could give her a senior citizens discount for a lifetime subscription for just $200 instead. This is when I believed it fully to be a scan and I disconnected from Team Viewer and hung up the phone. But at this point they have already gotten my grandmother to download things from there website and had access to command center where they type differen things in. I would like to know how can scan my network/PC to find out if they left anything malicious on the network or computer.

I just got ripped off by webroot

i bought a 3 year subscription in 2019. when i was trying to use that key code, i get a message that it is invalid. i just paid another $50 for 3 seats/1 yr.the console to manage subscription is just about the dumbest pos i’ve ever seen. i cannot kick off older devices.keep getting forced by webroot to buy more!!!anyone else experience that?

WRSA.exe ONLY???

I.T. pro helping a buddy with his WIN7 desktop (I know, I know - I tried). WIN7 HOME PREMIUMi3, 4 GB RAM Webroot has never been an issue until this started, and it started with a missing SYSTRAY icon (no, not hidden, missing) WRSA is the only thing running, no SYSTRAY icon. Cannot launch app, nothing opens.Uninstall wants ADMIN RIGHTS. User is admin, but I was ROOT admin, and still got this errorTried some utilities to cleanup (rhymes with seecleaner), nothing.PC is not infected in any way I can see, I ran a few utilities to be sure, not even a rogue cookie.Stopped and started all Services I could find. Manually removed the app -not easy -but got real stumped. Cleaned registry, folders, PRGDATA, you name it. Machine didn’t have even a mention of Webroot anywhere when I got done. Downloaded a fresh copy of WSINSTALL from Webroot, attempted reinstall, asked for key for the first time (yay)… then ONLY installs and runs WRSA.exe and absolutely nothing else. We never see the green menu a

no service response to account log-in problem

Unable to log in to manage account. Not receiving “reset password” emails. On hold 63 minutes for customer service, hold music eventually turned into busy signal and call dropped shortly afterward. Submitted service message nearly 64 hours ago, no response.Can anyone here escalate or offer other suggestions? We’re adding a new computer for school and I really need to shuffle things around in our multi-device plan to be sure everyone in the family has coverage on the devices they should.Webroot needs to ramp up remote customer service staffing during COVID. Happy with the product through the years, but these are really unacceptable wait times!

WebrootAnywhere is triggering request to make changes to computer, but fails to launch thereafter

My Webrootanywhere has been corrupted somehow, and it may have been due to a scammer I mistakenly allowed online 1 week ago. It was a fake warning alert from Amazon, stating that my account had been hacked and that I should call this number: 1 888-655-2507. They alleged that my firewall was allowing trojans in and pointed to the crss.exe program in the Task Manager. This appears to be a common ruse by scammers. I mentioned that I was running WebRoot, and I believe I ran it successfully once since then, but again.Now, every time I boot up my PC, Windows (7) is asking for Webroot to make changes to my computer. I accept as I could not proceed, I think, but then, I haven’t tried without running it. Subsequently, when I try to launch Webroot, it fails to launch. Also, the small icon in the task bar is now missing.I tried uninstalling Webroot, but I keep getting an error messages stating that I need Administrator privilege to do this and that I need to log in as such (I am the “administrato

Unable to interact with or uninstall Webroot and all "solutions" are useless.

Attempts to put in a ticket for the problem have failed. The program will not open and will not allow me to uninstall it even in Admin. mode. The reinstall fails every time. I requested an email to change the password, never received an email. Requested a ticket 2 days ago and never received an email. I complained on Facebook and the bot just told me to put in a ticket or call the support number. I think we’ve all had enough of trying to communicate with some person from India or wherever only to have it fail anyway.This company is screwed up and we want a refund so we can try our luck with another program. Since these D-bags can’t be bothered to do anything right, after we’ve been customers since 2013. Sorry to rant and whine, but these people clearly don’t give a damn about their customers and this service deserves to fail.

Can't log in

You have the most incredibly frustrating and IMPOSSIBLE log in system. You make me create a password *and* a security code. In order to answer the first and fifth or second and third letters of my security code I have to write it out. How safe is that? And then you ask me to install authenticator on top of that. But when I plug my authenticator code, it immediately takes me to a log out screen. After a half hour of work, I am still unable to log in. I am about to uninstall Webroot. This is ridiculous. What is worse is Webroot has also apparently stripped out the macros of one of my Excel workbooks. Gee, thanks for destroying my work without warning me first. How do I protect my macro-enabled Excel workbooks that are my own work from your voracious and over-aggressive algorithms. Nasty program. I am pissed.

How do I change my email, password and credit card info on my Webroot desktop anti-virus software and VPN software? I can’t find a link to make this sort of change anywhere. I tried calling the help number, but after a very long wait on hold, gave up.

Issue removing webroot

We are trying to remove Webroot temporarily to troubleshoot a printer driver. I am unable to remove Webroot from Programs as it says its managed via the console. I have removed the said PC from the console on the 19th and its still not removed the program from the PC. Is there a way to force uninstall the program?
