Hi, Webroot Community, I'm a longtime Webroot user. I'm also a devoted mom and was a loyal wife. I'm not really a computer person -- or, I didn't think I was... before. I'm a teacher by training, and also a writer. I'm a rule-follower, a quiet person, and utterly ethical. I'm not a computer geek by nature, but am becoming one by necessity. My ex-husband is wealthy, powerful, and a computer geek by training. He is ALWAYS on the computer. He works on it, cheats on it, and lives on it being generally dastardly in various ways. He's well-connected, and protected. He was horrible to us, and it's all on public record. The three kids and I finally got freed of him (after six years fleeing in court and via social service agencies), but now he's stalking us again -- online. He appears to be accessing us, still, through our computers. The local Sheriff called last year to warn us we were victims of postal theft and probably identity theft. My bank account about 8-9 mo
After spending a month testing all the differnent AV trials, I finally settled on WSA. As a long time Norton user I was intrigued by Webroot's Cloud based security and lightning fast scans. Currently I am running three PC's, one with Norton Internet Security, one with Avast Premier, and one with Webroot SecureAnywhere. Don't know what I will find out by the end of the subscriptions, not so much a death match of sorts, but it will be interesting none the less.

I'm a retired nerd... Glad to be part of this group. I got my first computer in 1982, a Coleco Adam. Boy was I cool! I've had my nose deep inside a computer ever since. My dad, who was a mainframe computer operator for the US Airforce, retired about the same time I got interested. He told me that (1980) we hadn't even scratched the surface of what computers were going to mean in our everyday lives and now, 37 years later, I can still say the same thing! Amazing! Another bad showing from WSA. :confounded: I don't know how trustworthy SE Labs are IMO? https://selabs.uk/en/reports/consumers https://selabs.uk/download/consumers/epp/2018/oct-dec-2018-consumer.pdf
1) When I look at my WR dashboard online, scans for my PC are for the most part under 3-5 minutes. BUT, the actual scan time ("Last Scan Duration") when I look at the software on my PC, today's scan is well over 40-50 minutes for my daily scan and is what I typically see on daily scans. 2) I also now have over 360 Active Connections when I look at the WR's PC software. Should I be concerned? If so, why didn't Weebroot pick it up?
I need help with an issue, I keep getting this error "Error(UCR2): Invalid security code credentials" even though the 2 digits It asks for are correct. It will not recognize the correct answer. Got any help for me??
I received a notice when opening webroot that my subscription was running out. I knew this was coming I could see the days counting down on the screen. About the same time I received an e-mail from Best Buy/ Geek Squad to renew it. So I did and got a confirmation e-mail last week telling me my plan has been updated. However there is no indication on my webroot screen that anything has been renewed its still warning me my subscription is going to expire in 23 days. This is the first time I renewed with webroot others I've dealt with in the past renewed immediately adding to my existing time left on my subscription. Could someone offer some info on how webroot subscriptions work. Do they normally runout and then renew or should they renew as soon as I update??
Our Guard Dog this month is a new addition to the Webroot Family and belongs to Web Developer Erin Kovar. Moose is a 13 week old, Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He’s curious, talkative, sweet, stubborn and so, so smart. He keeps us on our toes – if it’s quiet he has to be up to something. We were trying to teach him not to jump onto the dishwasher while it was down, since it’s about his height. He was receiving treats for getting “off” the dishwasher. But quickly turned that into “If I jump onto this, they’ll tell me to get down and I’ll get another treat!” His smarts leads to creative training. He loves the snow and has a fantastic bouncing run to make up for his short legs when the snow gets a little high. He’ll often shove his head into a snow drift and come out with clumps of snow on his nose that he throws up into the air. The snow shovel is a scary moving beast

Our CEO, Dick Williams, has his birthday today, so we all assembled in our training rooms to surprise him with cake and singing. His wife Ellen even came in for the occasion. Here's the photos: Waiting quietly so as not to ruin the surprise: The man of the hour shows up - apparently we lost track of him for a while and he was wandering around the building wondering where everyone was (Dick is on the left): Dick's wife Ellen joins the party: Happy Birthday !
Greetings from The city that Care Forgot (New Orleans). At 85 years old, I frequently use age as my excuse for all sorts of shortcomings and inadequacies...like using a computer for more than 20 years and still not being able to do a lot of basics competently. You probably won't see much of me because Webroot is one of those blessed "install and forget" programs that quietly goes about its business with little or no input from the user. OTOH, it's good to know you guys are here if and when needed! See 'ya.
Hello everyone. I feel somewhat overwhelmed as this community seems to be a bit "complicated" to get around in but perhaps with time I can advance enough to find my way around Lol. I will say that I have used WSAC for the past 3 yrs or so and it is the best AV I have ever used. Everything I have ever read about the low resources used and being quite in the background and not interfering with my pc use is absolutely true. I highly reccomend this to all my friends and family and those that have taken my advice are not sorry. I hope to learn on this site as I am far from being a geek haha. Anyway, nice to be here.
