Hello, Just reformatted my computer and when I installed Spysweeper with Antivirus, it told me there was an upgrade available. I upgraded, and now it looks like two separate programs are running: Webroot SecureAnywhere, and Webroot AntiVirus with Spy Sweeper. Is this normal? thanks iosman
All of a sudden, I am unable to log into WI Security app on both my I phone and iMac despite entering the correct username and password. I just bought the app last week and performance was sketchy at best...it kept shutting off and either would not allow me to connect to the internet or timed out. Im very disappointed with my purchase and I paid top dollar $60 for access on 5 devices. No one in my family wants to use use it because of these issues. I,ve spent way too much time fiddled around with Webroots applications.
i recently received an email from someone that had a old password from a site that I had visited saying that they had disturbing images of myself from the past 4 months demanding payment in bitcoin or they would release the images to family and friends. They do have my current email address but the password was from years ago. im concerned and do not know what to do
Windows 10 has the Quick access folder near the top of the folder pane in the Windows 10 file explorer. Icons in Quick access are only shortcuts. I am aware that the user is unable to delete the icons. I always choose to preform the "permanently delete" from the folder the file is in. If you preform a right click on any file, there is an option to permanently delete the file. This option is placed in the context menu if you have Webroot installed on your windows computer system. I have not implemented the previous versions feature, so I do not expect this is the reason why. These files that I have permanently deleted are accessible from the Quick access folder in windows 10. I am convinced that webroot does not actually deleting files properly.
Can someone point me in the right direction? I sent an email request in for help with Webroot customer service four days ago and again yesterday. I have not gotten any response. Is anyone working from home or am I somehow not sending my request to the right place? Thanks
I’ve used Webroot for years and thankfully haven’t had malware issues. Recently however, I was hit by a (seeming) ransomware attack. I’m very careful, but this came from a news link from Bing ! Anyway, whatever the *$#% it was, I was able to remove it. But are there any other scanners or anti-malware programs I should be using in addition to Webroot?
Oddity: System won’t accept Authentication Code after entering Username and Password. System won’t send Code Reset Email. System won’t send Password Reset Email. System does send Email notification that Authentication Code attempts have exceeded allowance. Technical Support Ticket has gone unanswered for 6 hours. Customer of 8 years. This seems odd. Anyone have any ideas?
Hello. I recently downloaded the most recent updated version of Webroot Wi Fi security. I seem to be permanently connected to a Canada IP address, even after I disconnect. I also notice when I connect, the connecting IP address doesn’t refresh. Also, (after disconnecting) when I put my cursor over my WiFi icon in the tray it says “unidentified network Canada”. I don’t think the program is dis-engaging. Any suggestions, please? Thank you……...Overwhelmed
