I originally posted over four months ago under the heading ‘Email service attack ?’ with my Android Samsung Galaxy A50 showing problems Since then I have continued having problems with both my mobile and desktop.ALL scans come back as clear and green, (phone and desktop) but I am not entirely convinced.I use LastPass, and this has been targeted , I have changed the master password and latterly downloaded a recent critical windows update to my desktop (Operating 8.1) which has improved matters somewhat.I feel as though I am being set up for a hit and run attack and feel extremely vulnerable Just read an article about Trojan Teabot which rings a few alarm bells with parallels to the behaviour I am experiencing, I am now wondering if I have been infected by Teabot or similar.Any advice would be hugely welcome thanks in advance Roadhog1
Me and my wife share the same computer with 2 Microsoft accounts, different e-mails and such, my question is how do i set her up with LastPass word manager? We Webroot complete on both accounts, she wants to have a LastPass with her own logins so she can use to save her pass word that she uses! Can you help me out?
we have very restrictive environment where we have windows firewall enabled for both inbound/outbound traffic. And as windows firewall uses IPs rather than DNS in order to allow/block traffic. so may i know the ip ranges for webroot servers so i can allow in windows firewall for inbound/outbound traffic?
I recently switched over to Webroot for my personal machines, and joined this community. While I am a software developer of many years, there's a lot I don't understand about cyber security in general. Here’s something specific…If you already have a rootkit unknowingly installed on your Windows machine, and the rootkit is smart enough to expect and trick Webroot, then the only way Webroot can defeat it, is to boot itself from independent start-up media (USB flash drive), then scan & quarantine/disable the rootkit before your OS can start from the Windows boot drive. But all I was required to do after purchasing, is download and install. It started up, scanned, and detected no issues. But how could Webroot be so sure it's not being tricked or defeated in some way? I could find no "boot-from-start-up-media-and-scan" options for this product. Thanks for your patience. Scott.
Just noticed Webroot threat shield not working properly AGAIN!! This is so annoying and I never had this problem with other anti-virus programs until I got Webroot. Last time this happened, I was told to do a complete reinstall by someone here which I didn’t feel comfortable doing. Luckily, I contacted Webroot Technical Support directly first and they said there was actually an issue with the Google Search Engine which was causing this and they were aware of it and it did resolve itself as they said it would. Now I have the same problem again - first I had spinning circles, then it appeared to work again, and now nothing appears next to search result entries. I contacted the Technical Support again hoping it was a Google issue again, but they had me run a WSA Log which I did and then they told me to uninstall and reinstall which I don’t want to do. I don’t understand why there is not an easier fix for such a small issue. I have Windows 10 Home, use Google Search Engine, use Firefox
Hey all, I have been using Microsoft Security Essentials on my home computers but have recently put in a Windows Server 2012 Essentials and need AV on that. After doing some research and free trials Webroot looks great. My only problem is determining which product suits me best. What I have: Server - Hyper-V Server 2012 2 x Virtual Machines: Server 2012 Essentials and Windows 8 Physical machines 3 x Windows 8 1 x windows 7 Mobile: 2 x Android I deally I would like everything covered, discounting the Hyper-V host I would need 6 Windows licenses and 2 mobile. That doesn't really fit in to any product from what I can see. I could get 2 x Complete home packs for a total of 10 licenses. Then I have any future VM or devices covered. I am open to the Business version as well as I presume it has an Admin Console where I can manage the other computers. Any ideas?

Just joined as I am thinking to switch my security over to Webroot. Been with another company for many years and need to check out Webroot. Wonder if the trial is only for 14 days or if it can be extended. Also what do others do about getting a spam filter. What are people using? Thanks. KOR-

Hi. My name is Marc, from Scottsdale, Arizona. I have just started using Webroot Secure Anywhere. I usually do not take the time to write product reviews good or bad, but I am so impressed by the product that I wanted to leave a 5-star review somewhere. I purchased it direct from the company website, as opposed to Amazon or other retailer where they have a system for user reviews. Is there such a place here, or should I post back to this forum with my review and some technical observations? Thanks.
Hi all! First of all my apologies for a small geographic test in the subject :p Another member of the Wilders (Prevx forum) joins Webroot fraternity, sorry sounds me better than community :D I see a lot of known "faces" here ... TH, Mongol, Kit, Joe/PrevxHelp etc. My greetings to you all and also to others I didn't mention ;) I am a long time user of Prevx, later WSA after Webroot acquired Prevx. I was lucky enough to be at the public genesis of WSA participating in aplha and later closed beta testing. I am going to be active here also in WSA Android forum. BTW, WSA mobile is really a top notch apps. I highly rate the quality of this "fraternity" web, indeed. Well done. Keep up! Kind regards, pegas
I'm cddude from Iowa. I have use webroot for many years and have gotten several of my friends to use it also. I'm retired and on my PC many hours a day. I'm a sounding board for a lot of my golfing friends with computors. This year webroot's program did not overwite last years. So I had to delete it my self. I told Webroot people and they said they were working on that problem.Have not heard of the results. by for now.
