I’ve used Webroot for years and thankfully haven’t had malware issues. Recently however, I was hit by a (seeming) ransomware attack. I’m very careful, but this came from a news link from Bing ! Anyway, whatever the *$#% it was, I was able to remove it. But are there any other scanners or anti-malware programs I should be using in addition to Webroot?
Windows Update wiped my hard drive this week. I have sent 2 messages to Webroot on the 6th, 7th and today. The response in the past has been almost immediate, however, I have had a response to date. I didn’t call the number because of such quick response, however, this is Saturday and the office is closed until Monday. Is this common?
Oddity: System won’t accept Authentication Code after entering Username and Password. System won’t send Code Reset Email. System won’t send Password Reset Email. System does send Email notification that Authentication Code attempts have exceeded allowance. Technical Support Ticket has gone unanswered for 6 hours. Customer of 8 years. This seems odd. Anyone have any ideas?
I recently created an application with a tool I have been using for years. HTML Executable (by G.D.G. Software) is a tool used to create eBooks or stand-alone applications from HTML code. The application that I created was a compilation of HTML web pages that comprised an eBook. After creating the application, I code signed it. Afterward, I submitted it to www.virustotal.com, where it passed with flying colors. However, during my testing of the application, I was shocked to see my anti-virus (Webroot) flag the application that I created as a Trojan Horse. I have since reached out to Webroot several times over the past couple of days and received no response whatsoever. Please tell me how I can get someone to look into to this false positive and white-list my application. Thank you.

I just shudown and start Webroot to look for any problem. Webroot start analysis but nothing was found and my PC seems to work normaly. Can I be sure that it was a false alert ?
Do we have to create an account for our LastPass password manager every time we renew our Subscription? I have entered my keycode using the little gear on the right of the “My Account” but when I go to my password in my console it shows a yellow fade with an exclamation mark on Password manager?
No Online Access to Webroot: When trying to communicate with Webroot support, via ticket, message, or wifi, I get locked into an endless cycle of entering my password, allowing cookies, and “we have already had contact with (my email).” In my browser (Firefox) I’ve added the Webroot URL -- both http and https to a list of sites from which cookies are always allowed. I’ve even tried MS Edge, in case Firefox is the issue -- same problem. Calling support has it’s own set of problems. Can't Remove Mobile Devices: My device dashboard shows two entries for an active tablet, and one entry for an inactive tablet. The remove function for either case doesn’t work. Anybody out there have any suggestions?
Lenovo 2019 Premium Flagship ThinkPad E590 Purchased: 1/8/20 Delivered: 1/11/20 Set-up: 1/12/20 I tried to install Webroot Internet Security Complete on my new computer. Instead of using the website listed on my email receipt from Webroot, I did a search for Webroot on the internet. I ended up on a bogus site. I asked for help installing Webroot on the computer. The person who I spoke to said that he would have to do a complete scan of my computer. I gave him permission. At the end of the scan he showed me that I had approximately 10 areas where my modem/router was hacked. He said that he was a member of the Geek Squad and that Best Buy owns Webroot. He also said that he could arrange for a technician to come to my house to install a machine to remove the hacks. The machine would be in my house for 4 or 5 days. At the end of that time the technician would return to remove the machine. I would only be charged $50. For security he said that he would need to hold the cost of the
So - for complicated reasons, I’ve taken over a new Webroot contract on a set of machines that had EndPoint already installed but with no access to the Console (which was under the control of an outsourced provider who are sulking and not responding to me) These machines obviously don’t turn up on my new console. I can’t uninstall the old EndPoint because it keeps asking me to browse to the original msi file (which I don’t have) and reject a new wsasme.msi file (probably wants a different build). The Endpoints are all managed, so I have no access to the UI to directly change the licence key. This also stops me running the EXE installer, as it just prompts the existing installation to tell me to contact an admin. BUT If I run the new MSI file - It lets me install a second copy of Endpoint on the machine - I actually get two copies in the Control Panel list of installed applications with different install dates from 2016 and 2020. I can then uninstall the newer copy, which also magicall
I renewed my trial version for 5 devices 1 year subscription and works perfectly well just recently. I have been getting calls on my service saying that Webroot isn’t doing business in USA any more and would have to pay another 199.00 to connect in the UK. I have 2 years left on my account and they said If I wanted refund to log on to my banking online to get it. When I did these they said the accidently put 10,000 in my account. I needed to go to bank and withdraw the money and they would give me instructions what to do next. I told them, I wasn’t about to do that and he said he needed to get the money back. I told him to figure it out some other ways and hung up on Him. He said his name was Sam and gave me a # 315-837-0090. He called back over 10 time trying to connect with me. I checked my bank, there wasn’t the amount in there. I have been getting many calls from them since. What can I do, other than not answer , is there a fraud hotline to report them on?
