Webroot and Torguard will not work together at all. Torguard keeps blaming Weboot but I fail to understand why 2 legitimate programs (I have licenses for both) refuse to work together. I just did a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro and loaded Webroot. I then installed Torguard which refused to connect. Disabling Webroot made Torguard work perfectly. I right now have both up but disabled Webroot, connected Torguard the re-enabled Webroot. Is there a solution to this problem? I whitelisted Torguard, but that was no help.It just seems completely screwed up that two security programs which perform 2 different functions won’t work together normally.
I have Webroot installed and turned on … but the web search results title displays are not readable. I have the green check mark but then the title is overlaying the www.”addresses” so in most cases I can not make out (read) either very well … it is like typing 2 lines on top of each other? When I shut off WEBROOT is clears up. I use yahoo as my default engine as it it on the ATT home page … but if switch to google search it seems fine. is there ea setting that can be fix on this? This seem to have started a few weeks back PS: I also use Firefox as my default browser
HiFor some reason about every 25 seconds at the bottom of my screen right side the webroot keep adding the webroot icons in the task bar sometimes going all the way across from right to left. When I put my curser on them they disappear leaving me one icon with no lock on it. It also will show like a scan just finished and found no problems but continues to do that adding another icon. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?
I am having a problem with mail being sent to me from me. Happens with AOL webinar training which I do not use. Windows defender antivirus is on occasion showing ( Exploit:HTML/IFrameRef.R!MTB ) as having infected my computer. Every time it shows this after a scan after about 30 seconds it disappears and shows a normal scan. I may not have presented the code name exactly as written by windows defender. Should be close. What is this?
I can’t uncheck “Read only” on any files. Was told it might be Webroot blocking it. Any thoughts? Also I get the “Page not available your it administrator has limited access to some areas of this app” Message. So any steps to fix the read only problem fail….Any help would be appreciated.
I have been using Webroot Secure Anywhere (and its predecessors) for years. I am very careful about the websites I visit and never venture past a Webroot green “Trust” recommendation and even then, always proceed with caution. I examine URLs closely and have not clicked on any embedded email links (or attachments). I update Win 10 & Chrome (“enhanced protection” is enabled) consistently, check device “permissions” and “installed apps” regularly. I don’t use social media . I always buy decent-quality, new Dell laptops. I live in a fairly sprawling condo complex with other law-abiding 55+ citizens. I love making up complex PWs, disabling “remote management” features, and keeping firmware up to date in all my devices. Yes, I’m a very boring person. About three months ago, while on the CBS news website I got a “Windows Support Alert” screen that said “This Computer is Blocked” due to suspicious activity and I must call “Microsoft at 800-...” immediately to unblock. The red
Hello,I an currently using windows 10 pro and MS edge and successfully sign to the webroot community forum but after follow steps using the same email address and password I am unable to login to my.webrootanywhere.com.The error I get is always username and password does not match but I am sure it is correct. I have tried clearing my cache and cookies and still the same. How do you fix this? To log in to your account in the SecureAnywhere website:Open your browser to the SecureAnywhere website at my.webrootanywhere.com. In the Log in window, enter the email address and password you specified when you registered. Click the Log in button. At the personal security code prompt, type the requested characters and click the Log in button. This personal security code was defined when you created a Webroot account. Every time you log in, SecureAnywhere will require this extra security step. Be aware that it prompts for two random characters of your code. For example, if your code is 12345
Just noticed Webroot threat shield not working properly AGAIN!! This is so annoying and I never had this problem with other anti-virus programs until I got Webroot. Last time this happened, I was told to do a complete reinstall by someone here which I didn’t feel comfortable doing. Luckily, I contacted Webroot Technical Support directly first and they said there was actually an issue with the Google Search Engine which was causing this and they were aware of it and it did resolve itself as they said it would. Now I have the same problem again - first I had spinning circles, then it appeared to work again, and now nothing appears next to search result entries. I contacted the Technical Support again hoping it was a Google issue again, but they had me run a WSA Log which I did and then they told me to uninstall and reinstall which I don’t want to do. I don’t understand why there is not an easier fix for such a small issue. I have Windows 10 Home, use Google Search Engine, use Firefox
Am attempting to install iTunes 14.7 on a Windows 10 PC but get the error in the description above. Apple says to try a lot of things, and one of them involves looking into my anti-virus software. Has anyone had any issues in this area?Thank You, Bob
I recently got on my computer that uses webroot and noticed that two more processes for it show up in task manager (making 6 in total with the ones that would normally run before). These only started up after a few minutes, I was able to run a scan and do a few other things before they popped up. The processes seem to be for WRSvcHost, so guess I am asking if these should be running and if anyone else has them currently? I checked other posts on here but only saw them mentioned for beta testing a couple months ago. This was also in refrence to the beta for version .75, the version I’m currently running is .62
