to all web root people
you folks here at webroot are the most knowlegable people and politest people i have ever come across. if you do not have a answer you at least try too find one instead of putting everyone on the back burner, and you make it easier to understand, then other sites. so kudos to all people at webroot and please keep up the great work and up to date information. thank you mrfloppy66
Registered for this one reason.
Alright so I recently coded and published my website "KissLander.com" and one of my followers on twitter tweets to me saying WEBROOT is blocking it saying it's potentially threatening? I'd like this FIXED asap. I have nothing but the forum software installed on that site and nothing malicious. This is false accusations and insulting.
I don't really have a question at this time ..I just wanted to say thanks for clearing both computer
Just wanted to say thanks and we as a family really appreciated the fact that our computers will stay virus free.....also I feel better knowing that the likely hood of someone taping into our computer is less likely...thanks again...best....keep up the good work
Greetings from Nirouku
Hello Community, I have been with Webroot as a technician for about 2 months now, and enjoying every minute of it. I would like to add that the product that is offered is a step into the future. So enough about Webroot and more about me now since this is introduction threads. I am a College graduate from DeVry University. My degree is Bachelor's in Computer Information Systems (CIS) with a web design major. I am currently attending Keller University while keeping my full time job with webroot in the journey of a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) I enjoy free time with friends and family and like to make life as simple as needed.
Hello Everyone, I am John, a Finance and Information Systems student at The University of Minnesota. Webroot is replacing bad experiences with Norton and the performance anchor that is Sophos. Tomorrow, I hope to rescue my grandfather's laptop from keyloggers and "preloaded business software." Phone support might need to be brought in. Also, if anyone has seen my web console's password manager, send it this way. It says an account doesn't exist .:p Thanks, John

This time we'll be getting to know , our resident cat fanatic and technology enthusiast. Tell us a bit about yourself. I have always been a tech savant and always seem to instantly figure out anything technical. I've also had a lot go on in my life to the point that some people think I'm in my 40s with all I've been through. It would be a novel if I wrote about it for sure :) Anyone here is more then welcome to ask for assistance with anything networking related. As you know, I also run an IT research/consulting company called AGNXNetworks/Remixedc
Howdy from the Mi'ssippi Gulf Coast
Thought I'd say hello to everyone before posting or researching topics for my Android devices. Imma stay home mom with an 18 yr old prodigy drummer and musician, whew he keeps me going! He and hubby both are techies and gamers, but hubby is part owner of a Tech company so I've had it around me for many years, funny thing is, I know more about Smartphones than even hubby does!! LoL. When I told him that I had changed my Security on both my Galaxy S5 and my Galaxy Tab 4 to Webroot, he sat straight up and said WEBROOT HAS AN APP?! I was like... yeeaaahhh.... what's the big? He said he's done a lot of business with reselling of Webroot for Business products for years and that he's always believed in Webroot more than all those other companies with too many bells and whistles. He was so excited to hear that Webroot was out for Android that even he switched from Avast to Webroot and son did too!:D Happy to be here and hope to find answers to just one little problem I'm having on my T
New Guy Here
Hello everyone. I feel somewhat overwhelmed as this community seems to be a bit "complicated" to get around in but perhaps with time I can advance enough to find my way around Lol. I will say that I have used WSAC for the past 3 yrs or so and it is the best AV I have ever used. Everything I have ever read about the low resources used and being quite in the background and not interfering with my pc use is absolutely true. I highly reccomend this to all my friends and family and those that have taken my advice are not sorry. I hope to learn on this site as I am far from being a geek haha. Anyway, nice to be here.
My computer was recently hacked.
Good evening. I am looking for advice. My computer was recently hacked, by a encryption virus by CTB-Locker. Webroot was able to remove the virus, but I have been unable to recover my data. I downloaded Shadow Explorer, but was unsuccessful in my efforts. Does anyone have any additional suggestions? I am also now very concerned about the safety of my computer ~ especially the possiblity of identity theft. Again ~ any suggestions? Many thanks.
Hello Sports Fans
I'm a newby here but would like to be a "reglar". I have been messing with the hardware end for 25 years or more. I leave the software up to you egg heads but if it's hardware...unless it's just broke...most times I can make it work when no one else can. If you have plenty of money...you just buy new...but po' folk have to try to make the stuff they have plod on. i'm not your average twerp (not that there's anything wrong with that) but I live out in the rural setting where people are struggling for every dime. Computer work is not a priortiy until it goes out on the farm and farmer JOHN has lost his data for 800 milk cows . lol...he doesn't want to spend $1000 for a new unit but he'll pay me $2000 to get what he had back. BACK UP? HUH? When I finish with them, they know how to back up and forward, how to type, how to spell their name. It's not just about fixing the modem...it's a whole education for them.. Anyways...i'm proud to be an American helping Americans.
Hello and Hat’s off to the forum leaders!
1st post and rather than requesting help for a problem, I want to take the time to thank the folks who help out here and serve as the product knowledge experts. I like the way you jump in and try to provide help those in need (even the ones who can be stinkers). The service business can seem thankless at times so let me say “thanks” up front. I'm new to Webroot but not new to hardware, software, troubleshooting, or being a service provider. I was fortunate to be able to retire from the IT industry a couple of years ago. It is easy to take for granted the knowledge and abilities of the average non-technical person, because we are so immersed in technology that it seems second nature to us. Keep up the good work. -Dave

Guard dogs of Webroot - November
My name is Winston. I am a Newfandoodle (Newfypoo) – Newfoundland and Standard Poodle mix. I was born on a ranch in Canon City, CO and have 10 brothers and sisters. I now live in Boulder and love the dog park in my neighborhood. Wrestling and playing chase are my two favorite things besides eating. I am growing so fast and could get up to 70 to 100 lbs. My puppy collar is getting tight (hope to get a new one this weekend) and my baby teeth are falling out. I go to Cottonwood Kennels for doggie daycare 1 to 2 times a week and I get to play all day long. I recently graduated to the big boy play area – no more puppy / little dog play area. I usually come home with report cards that say the names of my friends. Everyone circled words for my personality – ‘loveable’, ‘social’, ‘playful’, ‘sweet’ – I only got ‘wild child’ one time. I was having a bad day. I look forward to my growth plate
I am strongly considering WRA Complete
and I need some information. First of all I have an Android tablet that is just a low end one that only has version 2.3.3, will WRA complete work on that version, it is a Coby Tablet. Another question I have is this, I am currently using the free version of AVAST on my machines. Should I remove it or can it be used along with WRA Complete? If it can be used, will it cause confusion? Thank you for any help anyone can give me.
