Sorry to say that since joining the community my computer has been out of action. Only 3 years old and the darn Hard Drive decided to start to fail. Great fun ever since getting things up and running again. That includes having to learn a new OP, new version of Office, etc. plus what felt like millions of updates from Microsoft. At least the one program that was absolutely no hassle to deal with was Webroot Secure Anywhere Essentials. The whole thing has taken me almost two weeks to get computer fixed, then get everything back on, updated, and all tweaked to run the way I want them to. My apologies for not being able to see the notices, etc. on here, or comment on any of them. Ancient computer user - like since 1989. Brain is now slower than it was, lol. Alibaba
I’ve had a slow and freezing Win8 computer for several months. Knew something was wrong, but not sure what. Tried Avast which had worked before, but no change. Uninstalled Avast and purchased Webroot. In first pass Webroot identified the old issues and malware and fixed it right up. Going to upgrade from one system to 3 systems. Fantastic product. howardcl13

Hello, Webroot community. First time former and first time post here. The company I work for sells Webroot SecureAnywhere subscrptions to many of our business clients, as well as some residential clients. We've had numerous situations arise since December 2018 where at least five Windows 10 computers were freezing up/locking (specifically Windows Explorer) after logging into Windows rendering the computers useless and then another few at various clients did the same thing and all of them happened to have Webroot installed. Also, some of them indicated that the service may have been expired as well. What will happen is when you login to the account, it takes a long time to login and when finally login, the mouse cursor becomes an hourglass circle and you can't open any applications, nothing. Eventually, a popup windows shows Microsoft Windows is not responding. Windows Explorer basically freezes up. Also, I wanted to disabled Webroot on one computer because some websites wer

Hi All, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I'm new here, and am beta testing webroot, after getting some suggstions I may need/like webroot. I've been using Hitman Pro Alert for some time now, and love it. But, I enjoy my curiosity and learning about tech, net security/safety - so here we go! Thanks to many of you for your help and warm welcome! I look forward to this community and learning about Webroot! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'm using a tiny HP laptop. Win 7 x64 Intel i3-330 4GB, SP1 | BETA testing Webroot | Process Lasso | Chrome, FF- x64 | uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, Lastpass, Evernote | Crashplan, external & cloud storage/backup | On demand Scanners: Malwarebytes, ESET, HitmanPro, CCleaner Have been a long time user of HitmanPro-Alert exclusively, & I love it, no problems or infections. HMP/A (HitmanPro Alert) is light on my resources. Recently, it's been suggested I need additional protection. I learned Webroot may be a good option
I found this fix in your forum, and tried it, but it’s not working. I’d like to uninstall Webroot and reinstall it, like the post says, but I can’t … I can’t find it in Control Panel » Programs & Features to uninstall it - it’s missing from there! I have found a issue with re-installing on a machine with our WRData directory present which causes this issue. I have made development aware and they are investigating. There are ways to fix it in the meantime though. Fist I have developed a program that will attempt to repair this. Please download and run the following:http://download.webroot.com/WRShellFix.exe If after running this it says its replaced it, try and see if the context menu options show (a reboot should NOT be required). If it says it has disabled the context menu run the program again to try to replace it. If this still fails then it is definitely the WRData directory getting in the way. You will need to do the following: 1. Uninstall Webroot 2. Reboot the machine 3.
Hi all! First of all my apologies for a small geographic test in the subject :p Another member of the Wilders (Prevx forum) joins Webroot fraternity, sorry sounds me better than community :D I see a lot of known "faces" here ... TH, Mongol, Kit, Joe/PrevxHelp etc. My greetings to you all and also to others I didn't mention ;) I am a long time user of Prevx, later WSA after Webroot acquired Prevx. I was lucky enough to be at the public genesis of WSA participating in aplha and later closed beta testing. I am going to be active here also in WSA Android forum. BTW, WSA mobile is really a top notch apps. I highly rate the quality of this "fraternity" web, indeed. Well done. Keep up! Kind regards, pegas
Hi. My name is Marc, from Scottsdale, Arizona. I have just started using Webroot Secure Anywhere. I usually do not take the time to write product reviews good or bad, but I am so impressed by the product that I wanted to leave a 5-star review somewhere. I purchased it direct from the company website, as opposed to Amazon or other retailer where they have a system for user reviews. Is there such a place here, or should I post back to this forum with my review and some technical observations? Thanks.
I might as well introduce myself. I am a US Navy Veteran and a Violinist. Ususally I have a hard time finding predefined avataers that fit, but got lucky this time. The name has to do with my favorite airplane--the F-14 Tomcat which will eventually replace the violin if I make enough posts. My interests don't ususally center around computers, so that is why it is a big if.
Hello All! I just purchased a 3-pc license for WSA Antivirus yesterday. I will be running it on a 64-bit Windows 8 laptop, a 64-bit Vista desktop, and a 32-bit Vista laptop. I have a question about what antivirus/internet security software runs the smoothest alongside WSA. I know that it can run just fine by itself, and I may do that eventually. But for peace of mind, I want to run it with something else for a while. I trialed it with Comodo Internet Security 6.0 a few weeks ago, but I received a BSOD every time I tried to open Comodo's Virtual Kiosk. Apparently, not compatible yet. I also run Malwarebytes Pro in realtime, and use Sandboxie. So what other programs do you all recommend from your experience that work well with WSA?
