Hi, just signed up. I reside permanently in central Mexico, but am temporarily living in northern China. Bought the product because I have a bunch of malware on my computer and was hoping that Webroot would find them and delete them. Did a scan and much to my great disappointment it did not even find a single one. Was really hoping that it would get rid of Aartemis for me, but it did not even mention it. Am I doing something wrong? At the moment feel ripped off and want my money back.
Hopefully there are helpful and knowledgeable people here, because I am very much not computer-savvy. Recently I purchased & installed Webroot on my home PC. Soon after that computer died, and I got a new one. Now I want to re-install. Unfortunately in my ignorance, I think I neglected to register my product. Now I can't seem to get my product code to download the software, and the website & 800# are both directing me to each other for assistance. Can anyone give me some sort of direction here?
Hi, I'm beagle1957, former internet tech support specialist for a couple of cable/internet providers in my local area. Just installed WSA Complete yesterday and had to use tech support & the community forum to fix an access problem with Password Manager - VERY impressed with both! Looking forward to contributing to the forums!
Brand new WSA user. Well, almost. I just purchased WSA after being a staunch freeware supporter for years! I haven't actually installed the software yet, but hope to be doing so tonight. I have not used a commercial AV in probably well over 5 years. I've been following WSA over at Wilder's for the past several months and I've really been impressed with the support offered over at Wilder's from both the WSA staff and the other WSA users. That tied with the fact that WSA is a Denver-based company and that I live literally an hour from them, I really wanted to support them. This is my first journey to these forums and I am just starting to get acquainted with the setup and structure. I'm sure that I will have tons of questions as I start this journey of using WSA.
So i had some virus on my laptop that was making my IE stop working. so i got a free trail subscription of webroot and started scanning. everytime i scanned it would tell me it found a virus and try to start removing it...it never did so i asked webroot tech support and they set up a remote acess thing for the next day.......he never showed up so we reset it for the next day......he still didnt show up. by the time we actually had a date that he was there my subscription had already expired....so he surposedly took the virus off and rebooted it, yet when i went on the internet all my favorites were gone. spent 2 years collecting them and now they gone. plus i STILL can't change my date and time or use some of the functions on my control panel. plus my internet browzer still stops working everytime i use it......so i have thought about just restoring to factory settings after i use a flash drive to back up my data. but i need to find out how to get my favorites back. the we
Hi Everyone, Just wanted to say hello and happy to say I am an advocate for the Webroot suite of products. Not based on someone trying to sell me and our company a product... on the contrary I have tested on multiple machines with multiple AV's installed and obtained magnificent results... both for home and Business as a solution to the problem. We have only used Webroot for the last 6 months and cannot recommend it enought to those who are still considering a switch.. What I really want to say in short... I don't really join communities unless I beleive in spreading the word for something I beleive is great... Webroot is great... it has proven to me again and again as time goes by. Feel free to drop me a message if you want to have a chat around Australia... or around the world of course :D chat soon.
I'm curious as to the extent of WRAC's ancillary features such as disk cleanup & such, if there are any - I can't seem to find a really simple yet comprehensive list of all the WRAC features. Also, how well does the program work if I lose my network connection? Thanks, Ben
Time to get to know a bit more about another core member of the Webroot community - ? (aka Anthony). He's one of the most prolific people in the Security Industry News forum, as well as being an all-around great guy and helpful community member. Here's some questions I asked him so we could get to know him better: Tell us a bit about yourself I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and attended a Catholic grade school then graduated from public high school in 1965. I was a musician and played the clarinet and saxophone. During my high school years I played in a band on the weekends and was able to make extra money that way. I wanted to attend the Cleveland Institute of Music however neither I nor my parents could afford the cost. During this time the Vietnam War was going on and I received my draft notice. I decided to enlist for 3 years in the Army
For weeks I was having trouble with my small lap top taking me to sites that I didn’t want or showing a lot of popups (with pop up blocker off). I had Geek Squad tune up and service this computer a few times. While they did this they, of course, also used Web Root. But, it never seemed to fix, all the nonsense would just continue. Today they did another tune u[, ran Web Root but this time they also ran a Norton scan. Low and behold the Norton scan found a few infections, which the tech removed. When I contacted Web Root, the fellow that I spoke to (and he was very nice and understanding) thought that it could have been some new virus. He did say that, yes, there could have been a virus lurking around for a while. My main concern was that someone was in my computer (we can’t rule that out 100%) as I had that happen to another computer in 2019 and it was frightening and, fixing bank accounts, etc. was time consuming. That is why this computer has absolutely NO access to my other
Hello, I just recently purchased Webroot and it works great! The only real problem I have encountered so far is the "security setting" blocking an applet in an online class I am taking. I don't want to mess up the settings but I need to allow the applet to pop up to do the project. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! Fred
Hello all. I am new here and just wanted to check in. I have over 15 yrs of IT experience with everything from phone support to designing bulding and maintaining enterprise class data storage networks. I should mention that in my opinion Secure Anywhere is hands down the best security solution on the market and the tech support is unsurpassed especially being in the US. I look forward to meeting all of you. :D
I want to uninstall Webroot Secure Anywhere trial version, Mac OS X, (so that I can install one of three WR applications that I purchased on another computer). When I try to drag it to trash, it won't, because it's open. I can't figure out how to close it. How do I close, and uninstall, an expired trial version of Webroot?
I have too many subscriptions and wish to change one of our computers, where the subscription is about to expire, to another keycode from another subscription, which i just renewed with only one computer on it. I am not sure how to make this happen. Can someone please advise. Thanks.
Hello, I'm Mike from Ohio. I've been using Webroot for our home PC for several years now and really like it. However, I have a question...maybe a concern. Originally, I purchased "standard" Webroot (shows as a purple icon with a green-yellow-orange-red dot inside indicating status of the updates). Then, after being offered an upgrade to Webroot Secure Anywhere, I opted to upgrade and use that product. For the longest time, the two products co-existed on my PC. Within the last couple of days, the original Webroot icon will no longer update itself and show a "green" dot indicating that it's fully up-to-date...the dot only shows "red" -- I'm guessing a very bad sign. The Webroot Secure Anywhere window continues to show that I'm protected and there are no active threats on/against my PC. Should I be concerned? Should both products be on my PC at the same time? Any help is much apprectiated.
Hello Webroot Community Long time Norton user leaning towards good faith WSA trial. Best way to learn about WSA is by reading / participating in your WSA Community. Hi WR Community New user with a problem. Installed internet security complete on a Toshiba Satilite M305 and I'm having an issue with the mouse and touch pad. Thought it was the battery so I put in a fresh 1 , didn't work re-booted and the the laptop powered back up with the touch pad dead. Tried a wired USB mouse re-booted and nothing no pointing devices, even tried re-booting in safe mode no luck. Any suggestions ????? Could this be a software conflict or did the laptop pick a bad time to crap out......... Thanks
Hello,I an currently using windows 10 pro and MS edge and successfully sign to the webroot community forum but after follow steps using the same email address and password I am unable to login to my.webrootanywhere.com.The error I get is always username and password does not match but I am sure it is correct. I have tried clearing my cache and cookies and still the same. How do you fix this? To log in to your account in the SecureAnywhere website:Open your browser to the SecureAnywhere website at my.webrootanywhere.com. In the Log in window, enter the email address and password you specified when you registered. Click the Log in button. At the personal security code prompt, type the requested characters and click the Log in button. This personal security code was defined when you created a Webroot account. Every time you log in, SecureAnywhere will require this extra security step. Be aware that it prompts for two random characters of your code. For example, if your code is 12345
