Hi, I'm beagle1957, former internet tech support specialist for a couple of cable/internet providers in my local area. Just installed WSA Complete yesterday and had to use tech support & the community forum to fix an access problem with Password Manager - VERY impressed with both! Looking forward to contributing to the forums!
Thanks to nic for the pleasant welcome wagon message.
Hi all ~ & where to start? Born and raise in Hamburg, Germany just when The Beatles hit the big times. Cool place to grow up. By twists of fate I am now in Stockton, California and looking to survive working on all sorts of platforms (have avoided droid so far) and different vintages. Thanks for letting me say "hello"!
New member having troubles
Hey Y'all! I am new to Webroot and I have been trying to install a couple programs onto my computer but I can't. I can download the file but it wont open and install. One time Webroot popped up and said something, unfortunately I didn't write it down and I have a very bad memory, and then I could not install the program. Please help! Thanks in advance!
Hello, I am brand new to Webroot. I think I have SecureAnywhere Plus. It does not say that on the box but buy comparing the different looking boxes it looks like plus. Geek Squad installed it on one of my laptops and gave me the Secure Anywhere box and CD. It was very easy to install this program on my other two laptops. One is my wife and one is a very small Asus I have text to talk on. I was injured in the Iraq war and can not make a sound or talk. My computers are my communication. I nerver heard of Webroot until the Geek Squad installed it on the first computer. I like how fast it is but I still can't get over the fast scans. My question is does Webroot Plus have a spam filter and is the complete version better than the Plus version. Thank you so much. I will keep reading here and the Blogs so I can learn this program as fast as I can. Be Safe Danyel
Pass word protection
I can't sign in to password saving on browser and into my account if I want todo any thing it says to try again later. And so far I haven't found a way to contact any one. I've been trying to do this for a while, so many companys when you have problems they have run you around web sites. Not saying web root is that way.
Potential Threat Warning
Hi! A "potential threat" warning popped up on my screen from "Microsoft Security Essentials Alert". I scanned my laptop twice using Webroot and their was no threat. What is this?: http://gk023pcv.antimalware-pro-2014.in/index.php?key=f04f74c5a94766a421f8a2acd1f4f790
Webroot identity not being verified by windows
Hello everyone. This is my first time posting. The problem that I have is when I shutdown Webroot and restart it I get the error message "Windows did not trust this program because its identity can't be verified". I am guessing it is a virus of some sort. I did see, only once, when shutting down the screen turned black and had a little square in the center of the screen with a munchie face in it. Not sure what it is called. There was some writing below it, but image went off before I could read what it said and then the normal shutdown screen came up. I am running windows 7. This started about a month ago. I have been playing an online game for several years now. When the game did one of its updates several month ago Webroot blocked it. Even when I gave permission to run the update and game. I put in a ticket to WSA tech support and they created a whitepaper that fixed the problem. Due to the recent amount of game updates web
Error Message on Startup
Hello All - am new to the forum. Have purchased a new laptop and get the following message on startups/restarts. C:WindowsSystem32LogiLDA.dl missing entry: L.gifet.29 - Do not know how to resolve this. Any ideas/coaching on a fix will be greatly appreciated. Rob
New on the forum and glad to join! I have Windows 8.1. I have been "infected" by the delta-home and sweet-page search pages which appear respectively on Chrome and Internet Explorer respectively at startup of the browsers (apparently from the Conduit company). These home pages appear at startup independently of the startup pages defined in the browsers. It seems very difficult to get read of them (even by setting up other search pages and removing the delta-home and sweet-page programs). These search pages are not recognized as malware by Webroot or any other AV I have been using. I think this is unfortunate because this Conduit softwares are a real pain. Any solution ?
Help with Snap.Do
Hi, everyone. I am a new Webroot user, needing help to eliminate Snap.do from my laptop. The laptop is an Asus notebook, N53SV series; 64 bit operating system, 2Ghz Intel core, 4GB RAM. It has Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, which has appeared to update routinely. My normal browser is Firefox. I installed Webroot last weekend hoping to eliminate my recently noticed Snap.Do infestation. Webroot identified and removed 3 threats, and at first I did not observe any evidence of Snap.Do. But when I opened Firefox this morning (Google is my home page), Snap.do's mock Google page appeared. I immediately closed it, then manually initiated a scan by Webroot. Webroot detected nothing. I repeated the opening of Firefox, and again got the Snap.Do page. How can I get rid of Snap.Do?

battery drain issue
We have one mobile phone that has significantly lost battery time since mobile protection was installed. I've tried turning off, pulling the SD card and then restarting the phone - as suggested by the helpdesk for possible SD corruption. That didn't work. I finally removed the device from the admin console. This was supposed to give the user the ability to uninstall but he can't. Any suggestions? Ideally we would like his phone protected but minimally we would like to uninstall it and resolve whatever is causing the battery drain.
newbie...an oldie newbie
Hi! I'm gonna need a lot of help here & appreciate so much that this forum exists. I am gonna look around & try to find the correct place to ask my questions....most of which I am sure will be so very basic and/or idiotic .... no, really they are, but I fully accept my limitations & am glad to learn something new. (I just recently discovered bluetooth speakers and am still in awe!!) Anyway thank you all so very much for this forum & your willingness to help out!!:D
Is Webroot associated with Tidy Network? Webroot sent me a warning page urging me not to proceed to an untrusted web site. In a sentence in the warning window that explained that the site might direct information about me to malicious persons, there were three underlined words--identifying them as links. When I moved the cursor over one of the words--persons--an ad popped up from Tidy Network about a site to seach for arrest records. Isn't this spamming?
Hey, I'm new and I have a quick question
I got webroot installed on my laptop by Geek Squad almost a month ago. This morning I turned on my laptop and got a "Personalized Security Report Pop up and it's popped up a few more times on boot up. I clicked on it and it has the Geek Squad logo and my webroot info. My question is. Is this normal and will the pop up eventually go away?
I had a really bad virus and malware attack last week. Webroot ran numerous scans, but I still could not access my hotmail account through my ie. Finally had to call Microsoft and pay $100 to have my laptop disinfected. Would there have been a better way? Microsoft found 1280 PUPs even after Webroot had pronounced my computer free of threats.
