On my secure anywhere icon it's stating that my scan is outdated, but nothing is show what the cause is. Do anyone else have this problem. I cannot get an answer from Webroot, and I still have over 230 days left, I would hate to drop this company and go to another company because no one can answer me.
Found this after playing PCH and MS Jigsaw. Not sure where it came from. Obviously another scam. It needs to be blocked, of course, so that people don't fall for this. I forget what the code is for ignoring a link so would someone be so kind as to either it or tell me and I'll correct it. http://backfield.live/ln/SP3nSKdt0M9JtokbnbEhWknN5xMjn7sRYVUzgZPhfnNqXUPTb3_zGGtJRi8PtyWs.mSm8YLMjJw9Xri5sNvqSlHExEqDFuVoO3r0iiiRGl8FjGkp0FXUOnii5vxqKDcSXcJT7GhVHiwtCSTg1ycPoA75OqPlPLKTcluTPyCmREwDR2Q2VUCs9EJneqwPgtIrlesAB8_wk6dVLGLb_TYA3C5oNnXqCz2lX4paCz.EhPuEcpEk8bK6.vjOac2ZT3wlwNqPbWJngBv1NlMO76dy8qLCExnT3BAgm9jSurYa8USgtJCad5he4X0YpnfNbyyI06G64xaDH34G1MNbgZL.e4RdOosgbMAR5pdJycUjhJRWl59OuQbEza98gdcpYZguaRcQiHg3HJmPNABbu4zjPURUfcdQUUMnP_V_AcyDkvs16RkvFikjtaYkEm73bKgLX5plpTpJz6yPyMyi0_0fh4OuR22Ftzy.l6tTCOa.XUwqq.qq
I am trying to download Webroot on my new Lenovo IdeaPad S145 laptop. After nothing happening for a few minutes a message comes up Saying I have to get out of S mode in order to download computer. This is fine but WIndows says that once you switch from S mode, there is no going back. I don't like permanent. Any way around this. Really want Webroot since is rated best and is free for a year.
What in the world happened to Webroot??? I lost account access months ago and realized it was because I didn't want to accept LastPass. Have now buckled to the pressure of not wanting to loose all previous passwords and tried to download Last Pass but received a note that I don't have enough memory. Good grief!!! I don't know if I have do a complete reinstall or if there is someway to resume process after providing more memory. Lots of other problems... but don't want to ramble.... oops... too late. I'm not sure if anyone will see this or respond or if I'll be able to find a response if one is posted, but I thought I'd give it a shot. This was once the best help forum I had ever experienced. Hope some of the people that made this site so special are still around. Help if you can. Thanks. kevin.
Webroot clashes with Google Pinyin (Chinese Input). While the bug is not a severe one. Every time windows 7 starts, Google Pinyin Chinese input bar is bugged by Webroot and would not work. The solution is simply to click on the Webroot tray icon (with padlock symbol) to solve this issue. But this needs to be done every time windows is logged in and is bothering as one would only be reminded of this when s/he uses Pinyin and doesn't work.
I recently renewed my subscription for Secure Anywhere including mobile. I just got my security report and it describes 3 PC's being covered and 1 mobile, with 365 days left of coverage. I only have 2 PC's covered and 1 mobile so that's the first thing that was wrong. There was an alert (yellow or orangy looking) on the report for my phone. Checked my phone and it says the subscription has expired. That's another thing that's wrong. I've been with WEBROOT for some time now and never had these issues before. I'm confused, and I'll admit I may have done something wrong but as of right now I'm not so sure I can trust WEBROOT to protect anything if they can't get such basic info correct on my account. Is there a resource to actually contact this company for help? Has anyone on this site had these types of inconsistencies before?
Webroot comes highly recommended and I am thinking of purchasing the same. I have understood why its footprint is so small compared to other programs in this genre. What I need to know is, if I am not online (which would be quite frequent) and as an educator I insert pen drives from students to check their research work/presentations. If any one these removeable drives has a virus would my notebook be vulnerable to infection since I am offline Is Webroot reactive(rather than proactive) In such situations ? and given my nature of occupation, is this the right program for me ? Thank you
Hello, there. I'm Japanese and was a webroot customer who used webroot's Antivirus security software in another country before. I wanted to inquire about a new product, and knew the presence of a Japanese distributor ( ウェブルート株式会社 ), then called them ( 0120-633-601 ). The following conversation is with the Japanese male personnel for the customer support of webroot's Japanese distributor: I: "I'd like to know about the product named WiFi security." He: "What? Did you ask me about WiFi?" I: "Please listen carefully. I didn't say so. I told you the product's name." He: "Oh no. You said WiFi! " I: "Excuse me, what are you talking about? You don't have the product named WiFi security, do you?" He: "We have the product. Then, what?" I: .....( An idiot Japanese male personnel came out of the call...) I: "Do you have also the monthly contract for the product?" He: "Maybe, we have only an annual contract." I: "I've
bought new dell laptop in Nov. 2018 came with 6 months free Webroot Internet Security Complete. asked the sales person at Best Buys if I could save it till the current Webroot Internet Security Complete subscription ran out in May 2019 and they said yes> i printed out the code and even saved the email that contained the code. when I input the new code it wont show the new subscription as active. When I start google I have a hijacker continually place ads on the google screen. It shows that they are affiliated with mapsnow.co. Web browser search provided instructions on how to eliminate the extensions in the google browser in Win10. I followed that, the extension appears to be gone, but even after a restart they continue to appear. Is anyone familiar with this? My Webroot software does not pick this up as malicious.
Immediately upon downloading Webroot I was no longer able to open any of my Word Documents. After cursing a lot and asking for customer support, I redownloaded Webroot Secure Anywhere. Still didn't work. After unsuccessfully trying to uninstall Webroot, after four hours my Word documents suddenly gained their names beside their icons, and I could open them, but I had to move word files off Desktop to be able to open them. Several hours later I open my computer and Microsoft Word won't work at all and I cannot open any documents. My grandson's online computer game lost a ton of stuff: Major tantrums. I've spent hours on this. As far as I'm concerned Webroot is the worst piece of malware I've encountered in my decades of doing computers. Why is their time stamp for customer support messaging hours off from time sent? Right now my computer is just a chunk of plastic. Can't uninstall this crap and customer support won't help. Need desperately to work but can't access my files.
