Hello, I just recently purchased Webroot and it works great! The only real problem I have encountered so far is the "security setting" blocking an applet in an online class I am taking. I don't want to mess up the settings but I need to allow the applet to pop up to do the project. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! Fred
I have too many subscriptions and wish to change one of our computers, where the subscription is about to expire, to another keycode from another subscription, which i just renewed with only one computer on it. I am not sure how to make this happen. Can someone please advise. Thanks.
Alright so I recently coded and published my website "KissLander.com" and one of my followers on twitter tweets to me saying WEBROOT is blocking it saying it's potentially threatening? I'd like this FIXED asap. I have nothing but the forum software installed on that site and nothing malicious. This is false accusations and insulting.
I am trying to deactivate Webroot Secure Anywhere from my old computer (Windows 7) and install it on Windows 8. The online instructions say to go to PC Security, click on name of the computer which I want to deactivate, and choose "Commands Tab" and then choose "Activate". The problem is that I do not have a Commands Tab online. What do I do?
Greetings! Visiting my senior Mom (83 and kicking booty!). The following popup comes up. We've clicked the x and nothing happens. Stays there in front of other windows. I tried closing it from the bottom, clicking the x's. Stays there. Rebooted. Still comes up. Pic attached. Not a PC user so you might have to use simple terms -- any suggestions appreciated. Want her to enjoy her computer experience.Thx! Tired to include a picture but can't see how to do that here.
the POPup apears in the lower right side of almost every webpage i pull up titled "next On" it seems to be using key words from that site. I use crome, and i don't know the name of it as it apears in my control panel Is anyone familiar with this?
Hi. I have accidently removed the tablet from the list in my accoun on Webroot website. All the software is intact on the device so I do not need to download it - I can't anyway because Play store shows it is installed already and the device itself won't let me uninstall it. So how can I reactivate it (add it) to my account on the website? Thanks for any help you can offer.
So I was browsing with Firefox looking for an alternative to Youtube to watch a certain video. After a couple clicks somehow I ended up at a website claiming to be FBI, locking my browser. They were asking me to type in a greendot card with a value of $300 just to unlock it otherwise I'd be penalized. Webroot seemed unable to help. Was this for real or an elaborate scam?
First time poster. I just got a new MacBook Air and when I click on scan I get the following message: "The scan failed. SecureAnywhere cannot reach the internet to obtain threat information." I am connected to the internet, obviously or I would be on this message board. Any advice from any Mac users?
I have Webroot Secure Anywhere which has a backup feature. I don't want this and have disabled it only to get a message that my changes are only temporary and will be rewritten upon the next Webroot update. Frustrating! How can I stop backup from transferring info from my computer without my knowledge or consent? Thanks in advance for your help.
I cannot access it after putting a number of passwords on it a couple of weeks ago. I get error messages. Webroot support is a joke. Does anyone know how to fix this. I get these error messages: your Data/Password management account is not yet ready to use, please try back in the next few minutes. If you continue to see this message, please contact customer support and finally If you're not redirected within a couple of seconds, please click here to continue to Passwords. When I click here, I get a message that says something about this might not be a valid Webroot site. If I go anyway, I get an error message. Thank you.
I renewed my webroot last night and have not recieved my confirmation email with what im guessing should be a new keycode?? i purchased my laptop and got the webroot with it that had the free trial and it expired yesterday so i clicked the box within the webroot file that said "Renew Now" and i entered all my payment info and recieved payment confirmation, but no email as of today. is the keycode that came with the webroot not the correct one? im not sure what is going on, but i really like this product and am in need of some answers as to why wouldnt the keycode that i entered originally that was on the box not work now?? And most of all when can i expect to get an email sent to my husbands email with the new keycode if that is the case? Thank you. Heather
Hello! I have been using WebRoot products on my family's PC's for several years and have been well pleased. In addition, I recently obtained a MacBook Pro with Retina. Noticed that when Webroot was running the MacBook would shift from the low power Intel GPU to the higher power and performance Nvidia GPU. Since the higher performance GPU was not needed for Webroot software the result was annonying.... reduced battery life. Reported this to Webroot and they started working on a solution immediately even piloting a solution on my MacBook Pro. Now I can run Webroot in the background without it switching the MacBook to the battery hungry albiet more powerful Nvidia GPU.
Hello, I'm new to the forum and I'm having an issue. Webroot wont allow Snagit to capture any images unless I deactivate certain firewalls. Is there a way to take care of this without comprimising security?

Hi. I'm new to Webroot Forums but I hope someone can help. I have been accessing Watch Live on FoxNews for a long time on this PC. Recently, when I go to the site, a new tab automatically opens with an advertisement and warning that FoxNews site may be unsafe. I trust the site, so I allowed it. However, now, I get to the Watch Live site and it gives me the sign in button, but when I click the sign in, nothing happens. I have two laptops in the house so I know it is not an internet or site problem. It is only on this PC. I ran a Webroot scan and it comes back clean. Any ideas as to what I can to do fix this? Thanks, Kathy
I rarely get invaded and in case I ever did, I have a second Windows XP sp3 on my second harddrive and I have always been able to load the backup Windows and hunt down the offending files. I must have bragged to someone because I have one now that I couldn't find and niether could WebRoot. It is a Trojan Horse that is trying to put Internet Explorer on line instead of Foxfire so that it can dump whatever it wants on my system. I have run several scans and Webroot has found nothing. I imagine that it has replaced a Windows file with one of its own. Checked all of the dates in the usual directories and got rid of some suspicious files. The horse used to be able to activate Internet Explorer by itself, but it no longer can so every five minutes, it puts up the dialog box asking if I want to stay offline or allow the website to connect. It doesn't matter what Firefox is doing, apparently, it needs Explorer. Sorry I'm so windy.
Just purchased a 3 device package from Newegg today & got the download link thru an email with the keycode in the message. My problem is the keycodes first digits are block with asterics (encrypted ?) & only the last 4 are showing. I tried using the last 4 & also copying & pasting the whole line of code but nothing works. HELP Fred
I just purchased the $20.00 basic Webroot virus protection. It immediately found 2 Trojan and one Rogue viruses. NONE of the various virus protections I had have ever found them. I had one virus protector that NEVER found any infections for over a year. My computer was in shambles. 10 minutes after running this really cheap WebRoot product my computer operated flawlessly. When I restarted it the Microsoft broweser immediately addressed over 500 system errors, corrected them and off I went, smooth sailing all the way. I am amazed.
