Wanted to say I am new to the community and I seen this AD on my Att Web Mail and clicked on it because it was a hell of a deal considering my Mcafee was about to end in 40 something days so now I have this for a whole year and saved me money on top of that and next year I don't have to worry about renewing because it will do it for me. Mcafee did this too with the Auto Renewal but also this program fixed a glitch with my Download Accelerator Plus Installation program because I noticed when after un-installing Mcafee and installing Webroot I was able to update my DAP program successfully. I hope I notice some other fixes along the way and less crashes with windows with this program. GOD BLESS and thank you for the discount WEBROOT ;) recommendations by mouth will surely be coming from my mouth :) as long as the test ride is as good as it's advertised :)
Hi! I'm glad to be here (thought you were only on Wilders), so it will take me a little while to get around. Checking out what has been changed / updated / added to WSA since the first BETA (seems to be quite a lot - nice interface now). I'm sure there will be a lot of questions later. (Forum seems familiar though, hmm ....)
Hello everyone, I just joined the community today. I got my laptop yesterday and installed my WebRoot Anywhere on it too. I have WebRoot for 3 devices and so far it's on 2 of the devices that I want covered by it. My sister's laptop doesn't have a disk drive so I can't put the WebRoot dick in there until she barrows an external disk drive from a friend. I had trouble on the Desktop with getting my yahoo mail to open mail but I think it's due to there being too much unused programs on it. Anyway, I am glad that there is a WebRoot Community for people who want to get help with things that they might be able to fix themselves with abit of talking to GEEKSQUAD and WebRoot operations managers. Sincerely,
Hi Everyone - I just joined the group. Recently bought a new computer and received a copy of Webroot with the purchase and loaded it. I am running Windows 8.1. Should I turn off Windows Firewall or run it in conjunction with Webroot? Is there additional settings in Webroot I should activate if the Windows firewall is turned off? Is there any advanced settings I should be aware of while running Webroot? Thanks in advance, Charlie
Hello everyone in Webroot land! I am a new forum user, although I have been using Webroot for a while, along with Norton and MBAM. A quick intro about myself: I have an engineer's brain (a computer engineer's, to be precise) and I love hardware engineering, programming, not so much :p. Just thought I outta introduce myself before I get to postin'! By the way, I'm from upstates but now live in the south; so you might see me talk like a mixture of upsate and southerner from time to time. My username comes from Star Trek Enterprise, since I am a huge Star Trek fan. Shran
Just dropping in to say hello. I can't quite figure out why this page says we're in the United States yet when I select United Kingdom I get taken all around the houses back to the US again. Not that it really matters, the forum could be located in Antartica and only time zones make the difference. What was an intereesting experience for me this past weekend was having just purchased a brand new PC, which came pre-loaded with windows 8 (new experience for me) and a popular AV programme. Once I got round to firing up IE and downloaded Google (my preferred browser) and whole stack of adware came along. All making itself very busy with in-your-face advertiments and other stuff. I then downloaded and signed into my Webroot account and installed it in the new PC. WR immediately detected all the adware, malware and whateverware and cleaned it out very quickly. The interesting thing about this tale was that the pre-loaded AV, which the s
I am new to your community, and very pleased that such a forum exists. I hope somebody out there can help! My problem is ChartNet, the program I use for work. Whenever there is an upgrade to ChartNet, which there was this morning, some of the programs within ChartNet simply stop working. I have been told by IT that Webroot does not recognize ChartNet upgrades and therefore disallows upgrades. Is there some way to enable/allow upgrades to ChartNet that Webroot will not see as a threat? I appreciate any help. As I do work from home and am paid by production, this is a frustrating situation. Thanks so much in advance!
Im having an..... Oddity in the past Month-ish. Ive been getting warnings about "something.g.doubleclick.net" I think it was the name. Im not too sure but it was definitely .doubleclick. But i t flickers at the tops of the page and hasnt really stuck around for me to get exactly what the addy is and its warning about malicious content and blocking pages. Its getting really old. It stuck arouns for a time but I was too annoyed to write the addy down by the time I grabbed my pen and paper it was gone again only to reappear upon scrolling down the page a little. I guess My question is: If its ad related is there a way to say: "Ok! The ad link thats scrolling is dangerous DONT CLICK IT. Got it thanks for the info!" but does it absolutely have to keep me from seeing the pages? The pages are news related. I DONT click the ads anyways, Never have never will. MSN does it, NBC does it the, Today page does it, I havent noticed it on BBC or a few o
Hi - Use to be able to block those while interent browsing under the older version of webroot. (Just type in the URL) Under the new version it directs to look for a file on your PC. But there is no file on the PC for these. Just comes up when you get to a website using the adds. Way to fix this in the new version? thanks, Bob

I'm an idiot when it comes to this stuff.. :-( Can someone please steer me in the right direction.. pls... someone.. anyone.. ?:$ Thank you
I have recently learned, and started making use of Webroot. I started working for a major retail chain, in their customer technical support section, about four months ago. I learned about Webroot in one of my standard training segments and have used it since. I love Webroot, and advise clients to use it as their computer security system. As someone that deals with computer problems on a daily basis, with the majority of them being malware, I hope that I can assist if there are any questions relating to such problems. GSA
I am just finding my way around the forum. Just a little confused by it. My name is Joe and I live in Ojai, California. I am an 79 year old widower living with my Basset Hound Fred. Ojai is a small community of about 8,000 located in southern California. I am a computer nut who seems to always be building his next computer. In the past year and a half, I have built 3 Windows 7 computers and my NEXT one just needs 8 G of memory and an operating system and I can start getting it running. Needless to say, I would accept donations.:D My friends think I'm crazy and I am beginning to think they are right. I am hoping that this will be my last build. I could go on for hours but I don't want to bore you. Nice to be here.:D
I have been using Webroot Internet Security Complete for about 3 1/2 years.Users out there who may have older relatives who are not very computer literate: Hey give Webroot a try. The USA$80/annum fee gives quick scans of your computer, not to mention keyboard logger protection. It is a worthwhile investment. Have kids at college? You can protect their machines too! Makes a great.gift. I have tried different vendors over the years. I live in the Willamette Valley of Western Oregon. I don't go with the well-known one here.
