how can I uninstall slimcleaner from my computer (a sneaky add on that I can't remove via windows 10
Greetings. I'm a retired bookkeeper and active piano teacher. I purchased a new computer with windows 10 in March and Oh My Goodness! That's the best I can say. Anyway, I inadvertently downloaded slimcleaner that was piggybacked on some app that I downloaded and now I can't get it off. Can my Webroot software get rid of it (the way the Norton Software can?). Appreciate anyone's success stories.
Having trouble with clipboard not functioning sporadically...was told to run SFC, tool doesn't work'
Hello! My name is Maurice and I was hoping to find some answers here tonite! Not exactly what I call a wiz with computers but I've some experience, so not total doob...I have a very annoying problem with the copy and paste function working sporadically...tried some online suggestions, nothing worked, so I put up with it for months...tonite I've had enough!! Tried to run SFC with elevated command prompt and found that IT didn't work...tried other suggestions ( DISM restore Health) that did NOT work either...it seems that whatever suggestion is offered has its own glitch or problem...can anyone point me in the right direction!?
I have a recurring problem. At random times, I'll see a line of circles, just smaller than a dime, in a vertical line about 4" from the left side of the screen. When they appear, my cursor seems to be drawn to the "search the web and Windows" button at the lower left of the screen, AND, various windows or tabs will start up by themselves. Sometimes I can close the all, sometimes I can not, and have to turn off my computer by holding the power button until it shuts down. Sometimes, If I do nothing and wait for it to stop, it will, and I can continue with what I wanted to do with no ill effects. Sometimes, I can't even get past the first lock screen to log on. Question for all of you.... Has anyone seen this particular problem? How did you get rid of it? It's a fairly new computer, and when I do a scan with Webroot, it finds nothing. My son sugggested it was a hardware problem, but I'm thinking software.&nb
Hi folks.....I’ve been using McAfee Total Protection for ten years and for many reasons I want to make a change so I just downloaded a trial version of WSA Security Complete and have a few questions. 1. Does WSA have a ‘lockdown’ feature similar to McAfee’s? 80% of our PC use is off-line. No need for an internet connection. With McAfee I click ‘firewall’, the page has options and I click ‘lockdown’, I use ‘stealth mode’ for browsing. I’ve looked around in WSA and do not see any options to do this. 2. Our PC’s and laptops are older running XP with 1 GB of memory so I use the “Quick Clean” feature in McAfee all the time. Does WSA have anything similar? 3. Using McAfee a full scan takes over an hour for about 150K files. The first WSA scan upon installation took 13 minutes. I ran a second that took 3 minutes or so for about 27K files. Wow. Why is there such a difference in the number of files scanned? I’m looking forward to using WSA and
New user. Firefox used to block the ad line at the top of my yahoo mail. I expected that feature to return once Webroot cleaned my machine. Also thought some old expired software like Avast to be cleaned off as well. ezjon

Hi my name is Ray and I have just upgraded to windows 10 from 8.1. I usually use Yahoo as my browser/ homepage when online. I had setup the webroot task bar which included the password manager, but after the upgrade it disappeared and I can't seem to get it back. Does anyone know why?
I usually don't join "communities" but I would really like to learn more about internet security and how to better use Webroot. I bought my subscription a couple of months ago and I really like everythng about it so far. Like many, I've used Norton and McAffee in the past. Webroot seems more streamlined and thorough to me. I haven't fully explored the community topics yet. Has anyone mentioned the need for compatibility with Windows 8 phones? I'd really like to use Webroot on my Nokia 1520. I use to be an Apple guy, and I've happily reverted back to Microsoft. Droping my iPhone was the last step. Feel free to contact me. I look forward to learning from all of you here.
