My name is Rikard Zetterberg, 36 yo, living in Sweden. I've been working in the IT industry for more than 15 years, both in the role of technical consultant, CTO and CEO. Most of my time I've been focusing on IT security in the cloud and I was one of the contributors to SoftScan's great success as pioneers in hosted Email Security back in the early 00's. As the threat developed I was one of the first to introduce the hosted Web Security to the Scandinavian market. Today my company, WeCloud, offers 100% cloud based IT Security: End Point Security, Web Security, Email Security, Secure Archiving, Monitoring Services and in-depth knowledge. My business goal is clear and simple: Make IT Security available to anyone. WeCloud distributes the SecureAnywhere Business edition to Scandinavia. Looking forward to get to know you all! :) // Rikard
My father's laptop was recently infected, forcing me to do a factory restore. In considering how to enhance his security posture, I decided to move off of MSSE and towards a 3rd party AV solution. I was not expecting much, but after considering ESET, Norton, AVG, Avast, Avira, BitDefender, and ZAIC, I went with WRAV based upon the consistently good reviews. I must say that I am now even more impressed having surveyed these forums. In less than a day, I've learned a great deal about just how extensive of an overall AM product WRAV is. I had also purchased ZA Pro and MBAM the same day I chose WRAV, determining to proceed with a layered approach. Now I'm becoming more convinced that WRAV might be all I need. Additionally, the assistance on these forums is remarkably good. Even if WRAV was less than stellar, the quality of help on these forums make the product worth the price. I'm finding myself absolutely puzzled at some of the refund requests of some of the unhappy use
Hi Everyone. Just a quick note to introduce myself. I am a newcomer to Webroot SecureAnywhere and after using quite a few different security programs over the years and not too keen about using the "cloud" I can honestly say that I am very impressed with the program so far. Thank you Triple Helix for introducing me to it. :manhappy:
Forgetting my manners. Been posting questions on here without even introducing myself first!. My name`s George, 47, from Liverpool. My username WaspUK1966 is my Gamer tag for Steam and XBox Live ( if you see me playing online come and say hello)..I think this forum is excellent. And I`m extremely impressed by the response times to the queries I have posted. Well done everyone. And special thanks to TH. Keep up the good work.
Just installed Webroot. Checked PC Security on my online account. My settings for Webroot Secure Anywhere are "user defined" although I didnt change anything, just installed it. When I click on the help icon on this page, a number of security settings are listed. The "Medium(recommended)" setting is highlighted in blue. Should I change my security settings to this, and if so, what will it do as regards the program? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Greetings from Texas! I joined the community for the purpose of figuring out why I can't log in to my Linkedin account after having installed Webroot. I have no issue logging in from my office computer, which doesn't have Webroot installed. I greatly appreciate any help. Best, DCGarcia1
Hi. My name is Marc, from Scottsdale, Arizona. I have just started using Webroot Secure Anywhere. I usually do not take the time to write product reviews good or bad, but I am so impressed by the product that I wanted to leave a 5-star review somewhere. I purchased it direct from the company website, as opposed to Amazon or other retailer where they have a system for user reviews. Is there such a place here, or should I post back to this forum with my review and some technical observations? Thanks.
Hello: My name is Tony and I am posting for the first time. I have just purchased Webroot SecurityAnywhere and my initial impression is it is a incredible piece of software!!!!! I have been working with computer since 1999 (when I purchased my first PC) and since than have worked with numerous antivirus software over the years. I must say that Webroot is second to none!!! To date I am a satisfied customer and very happy with the product. As for myself I am a musician play the sax and clarinet. When not playing music, I am constantly on the computer, enjoying posting and learning more each day about computer security and what new software's that are coming out Once again my hat off to all the staff at Webroot for outstanding software, great job well done.:D
Hi there. My name is Tom, and I work in IT for the past twenty seven years, mostly networking and PC issues. I work for a national company as a Senior PC/LAN Analyst, a position I love and look forward to working at every day. I work mostly from home with some limited travel. I guess you can say I've finally seen the light as far as security solutions go after doing my own research. I've been using signature based solutions since the days of Norton, when Peter Norton actually made the product. I'm happy to be here. It's true, you can tell a lot about a product by looking at the forums they host, and well, the others are chock full of issues, this place is kind of quiet and seems more like a social gathering of the geeks. And that's awesome! I have to say this is the most friendliest bunch of people I've seen, and response times to ANY issue is jumped on almost immedietly! Also awesome. Opening a support ticket is responded to in hours, not days or weeks as I
Hello from Merrifield, Minnesota - Mission Township. I am so excited to start learning how to use and optimize WEBROOT SecureAnywhere after successful installation! For starters, can anyone tell me if it is best to turn Windows Defender off while Webroot SecureAnywhere AND is there any reason why I would want to have both turned on OR direct me to the right community forum to ask this question? The message in my Action Center under Spyware and unwanted software protection says, "Running two or more antispyware programs at at the same time can cause your computer to run slowly." Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise. Indomite

My computer get invaded with applications that like to 'report back to its home server. I delete them, but they keep coming back. Some of the applications aer useful. I need to stop these applications from gaining access to the Internet...how is this done?
Hello All! I just purchased a 3-pc license for WSA Antivirus yesterday. I will be running it on a 64-bit Windows 8 laptop, a 64-bit Vista desktop, and a 32-bit Vista laptop. I have a question about what antivirus/internet security software runs the smoothest alongside WSA. I know that it can run just fine by itself, and I may do that eventually. But for peace of mind, I want to run it with something else for a while. I trialed it with Comodo Internet Security 6.0 a few weeks ago, but I received a BSOD every time I tried to open Comodo's Virtual Kiosk. Apparently, not compatible yet. I also run Malwarebytes Pro in realtime, and use Sandboxie. So what other programs do you all recommend from your experience that work well with WSA?
My computer has been invaded..Taken over! When I try to save changes, such as not allowing 'non-administrators' permission to modify configuration options etc.. When I go to save, I get this WONDERFUL message stating "Although your settings will be saved locally, your PC is currently centrally managed by the Web Console and your settings may be overwritten on the next database communication." Hey! This is NOT me! And I do NOT know what to do here as I have tried so many things and am COMPLETELY LOST! Anyone out there willing to give Abby the 411 on this so I can be done with this nasty hacker??
Hello, my name is Matthew and I am a student from South Shields in the UK. I am currently studying my second year of A-Levels at college, and I hope to be studying Computer Science and Ethical Hacking at university next year. I have tried out many security products out in the past, and I see myself as quite an advanced user. Unfortunately I do use Windows 8 on a daily basis (it's not that bad really ;) ). I love a good chat about the latest threats and security technologies as well. I hope that you will enjoy my presence in the Webroot community :).
Hi, I guess forgot my manners. Let me introduce myself. I'm Amit. I love to study Science and the art of fighting. I'm from Parallel Universe. I change my setup as I wish. I've tried nearly every security app out there in the last few years. I'm a kind of selfish. I don't like to help others like teaching them or guiding them. I like to learn from others. Take their knowledge and fill my bowl of knowledge even more. Well that's all. Have a nice day! Best Wishes, Amit
