Bizarre

Yesterday I noticed that, unusually, windows asked if Webroot could have access; I agreed and thought nothing of it. The same happened this morning - this time there was a Webroot icon on my taskbar telling me a scan was overdue; my settings allow a scan overnight or, if missed, when the system is next switched on, I could not understand how it could be overdue. I clicked the icon, a black Webroot control panel came on. I tried to start a scan, Captcha appears but wouldn’t let me click the continue button, in the background all of my settings were now off and I could not change them. It also showed zero scan history but the correct subscription remaining details. Webroot was not on my apps list but task manager showed Webroot was consuming 88% of my CPU resources. Windows security centre did not show an alert as it had reverted to Microsoft Defender I thought I would uninstall and reinstall Webroot. I went to Windows control panel and found Webroot there and clicked uninstall. I then g

I cannot log in to my account because it asks me for authentication code even though I did not have a authenticator account set up yet. Can someone suggest how to log in ????? does anyone even work at Webroot support line?????

api.exchmeddata.com- Why won't webroot block this?

When most websites in my browser i can see this api.exchmeddata.com loading with the pages and creating pop-ups. When doing a scan with Webroot it does not identify this as harmful. Why does this not get blocked or what can I do to have it blocked?

3 keycodes are the same for 3 devices?

Hello, on my account I can have 3 devices. There are 2 devices and a PC listed. The account has a check by all devices (protected) , but the keycodes are identical. What is up with that? I would like to add a device but don’t know how to proceed. There is no indication of what device is associated with a key code. What a mess. Thanks, Angelo

not working

Normally when webfoot starts up the page is green and it starts a scan. The last few days its changed its color to blue and fails to start a scan. What’s wrong?

I just got ripped off by webroot

i bought a 3 year subscription in 2019. when i was trying to use that key code, i get a message that it is invalid. i just paid another $50 for 3 seats/1 yr.the console to manage subscription is just about the dumbest pos i’ve ever seen. i cannot kick off older devices.keep getting forced by webroot to buy more!!!anyone else experience that?

Unable to interact with or uninstall Webroot and all "solutions" are useless.

Attempts to put in a ticket for the problem have failed. The program will not open and will not allow me to uninstall it even in Admin. mode. The reinstall fails every time. I requested an email to change the password, never received an email. Requested a ticket 2 days ago and never received an email. I complained on Facebook and the bot just told me to put in a ticket or call the support number. I think we’ve all had enough of trying to communicate with some person from India or wherever only to have it fail anyway.This company is screwed up and we want a refund so we can try our luck with another program. Since these D-bags can’t be bothered to do anything right, after we’ve been customers since 2013. Sorry to rant and whine, but these people clearly don’t give a damn about their customers and this service deserves to fail.

I run a scan and at the very end results show 2 Threats Removed, but 0 Threats Detected. I then do a rescan again, and I get the same results, … 2 Threats Removed, 0 Threats Detected ???

PHONE SCAM FROM WEBROOT??

I believe I was scammed through a fraudulent webroot call. They accessed my PC through teamviewer and said that my network was comprimised and that there were people actively aswell as waiting to get on to my network wher they would be able to see any of my personal information. They then began to attempt to "clean my network" and "block the hackers", when they suddenly said that I would have to pay them for an SSL. They initially said it would be $300 dollars then they told my grandmother they could give her a senior citizens discount for a lifetime subscription for just $200 instead. This is when I believed it fully to be a scan and I disconnected from Team Viewer and hung up the phone. But at this point they have already gotten my grandmother to download things from there website and had access to command center where they type differen things in. I would like to know how can scan my network/PC to find out if they left anything malicious on the network or computer.

Issue removing webroot

We are trying to remove Webroot temporarily to troubleshoot a printer driver. I am unable to remove Webroot from Programs as it says its managed via the console. I have removed the said PC from the console on the 19th and its still not removed the program from the PC. Is there a way to force uninstall the program?

WRSA.exe ONLY???

I.T. pro helping a buddy with his WIN7 desktop (I know, I know - I tried). WIN7 HOME PREMIUMi3, 4 GB RAM Webroot has never been an issue until this started, and it started with a missing SYSTRAY icon (no, not hidden, missing) WRSA is the only thing running, no SYSTRAY icon. Cannot launch app, nothing opens.Uninstall wants ADMIN RIGHTS. User is admin, but I was ROOT admin, and still got this errorTried some utilities to cleanup (rhymes with seecleaner), nothing.PC is not infected in any way I can see, I ran a few utilities to be sure, not even a rogue cookie.Stopped and started all Services I could find. Manually removed the app -not easy -but got real stumped. Cleaned registry, folders, PRGDATA, you name it. Machine didn’t have even a mention of Webroot anywhere when I got done. Downloaded a fresh copy of WSINSTALL from Webroot, attempted reinstall, asked for key for the first time (yay)… then ONLY installs and runs WRSA.exe and absolutely nothing else. can't load Secureanywhere on Androud 7.1.1 Netbook

I purchased a 5 PC Update for Webroot and when trying to load this year, it says that it can't be loaded. Is this true? Then I will cancel and look for another virus protection software. Bill

How do I clear NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID that's coming up for my printer's URL?

I’m using Google Chrome web browser and when I input my HP printer URL in order to enable web services, I get the NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID saying the site is not secure. Where do I go to allow this site or to tag it as safe?

Right click scan option missing in Windows 10

I found this fix in your forum, and tried it, but it’s not working. I’d like to uninstall Webroot and reinstall it, like the post says, but I can’t … I can’t find it in Control Panel » Programs & Features to uninstall it - it’s missing from there! I have found a issue with re-installing on a machine with our WRData directory present which causes this issue. I have made development aware and they are investigating. There are ways to fix it in the meantime though. Fist I have developed a program that will attempt to repair this. Please download and run the following:http://download.webroot.com/WRShellFix.exe If after running this it says its replaced it, try and see if the context menu options show (a reboot should NOT be required). If it says it has disabled the context menu run the program again to try to replace it. If this still fails then it is definitely the WRData directory getting in the way. You will need to do the following: 1. Uninstall Webroot 2. Reboot the machine 3.

Cannot uninstall webroot

Hi I am trying my best to uninstall webroot from anywhere I can seem fit but the webroot suddenly pops-up an info mentioning “SecureAnywhere is currently managed by the Web Console and all changes need to be applied centrally. Please refer to the Secure Anywhere documentation for further information.” Need help in this please.
