New CMO Introduction - Meet Dunk
Hi Everyone, Our new CMO, David "Dunk" Duncan, will be chiming in on a Business area topic announcing his recent appointment in just a little while. It's also his first time in the Webroot Community, so if you'd like to ask him anything or just say "hi," please feel free to chime in over in this thread. Let's give him a warm welcome! :cathappy: He's a really fascinating guy with a very interesting background that touches on everything from cryptography, to Mandarin Chinese, to programming. (And, of course, an extensive marketing background - he is the CMO after all!) So if you'd like to meet Dunk, click here and say hello!

Just joined the community looking for a solution to a problem. Just thought I'd stop here to say "hi" first and introduce myself as a total novice computer/technology person - lawyer by trade. Hoping to leverage off the wisdom/experience of some of the gurus on here much smarter than me.
Hello to all Webroot users!
Hi, I'm new to the community but this is my second year using Webroot and so far no complains, a great software. I did't know of the community until a person from tech support tell me, after helping me fixing an issue that I had with Chrome browser, recommend me to join the community of Webroot to learn new things, FAQ and exchange my ideas. So I hope that I can learn a lot of this great product and if its within my possibilities, to help someone with the little experience I have from using the Webroot products. Link
Hi this is old man Bob & of course new to Webroot software and community. Had been with ZA since around version 2 but decided it was time for a change in security. So I will be doing a lot of reading for days to come and finding myself around the WebRooting :D community. BTW: I love the ability that WR has with being able to operate in the mix of multiple security packages that are or can be configured together. ...later, Bob
Hi my name is Chris, I have listed several questions, thank you for all your insight. 1. Do i need to tell webroot to scan for malware or does it do by default? 2. Is it ok to run an additonal anti-malware program like free malwarebytes manuall? & finally 3. If i get a virus on my iphone will it infect my pc or will webroot catch it? Iphone is not protected. Thanks
Hi, I'm a new user!
Just want to say hi from NH. Having a snowstorm right now, and hoping I don't lose power! I'm using Webroot Internet Security Plus 2013 along with Windows Defender. Loving it so far; it has not slowed down my computer at all. I got a new laptop for Christmas, a Toshiba Satellite with Windows 8. I originally installed Kaspersky Pure 2.0, but had to uninstall it. I kept getting a message 'driver power state failure'. When I returned it to Staples, they said that had been a problem, but they thought the issue had been fixed. So I started a search for the best security software, and decided on Webroot. I do have a question about which Mobile security to install on my smartphone. Should I post it here, or in the Android forum?
Greetings everyone! I am new here to the Community, but not completely new to Webroot. I have been using it for a year on my own computer, and so far I have had very little trouble with it. Question: I occasionally receive thoughts and comments from other Webroot users. If I come across something that I think might be of interest to others in the community and also Webroot itself (customer comments regarding their experience with the products), would it be appropriate to post, and if so, which forum shold be used for such feedback?
Hello, I'm new to the community. I've been administering and investigating malware events across about 1200 WSA endpoints since March/April 2012. Before that I administered the old Webroot AV for about 1.5 years? I was a huge fan of PrevX and love that WSA is a direct continuation of that lineage. Before Webroot I suffered under the oppression of the absolutely worthless and horrible <OTHER AV PRODUCT GOES HERE>. We also have WWSS but don't use it as much anymore. Bad experiences with earlier versions of the agent, lack of integration, and greater data caps on business cellular modems have reduced our need. I also run our desktop management/patching system and build our computer images. I really, really enjoy the New Product Smell of WSA and the possibilities it has. The protection it has offered my company with the low overhead is great. I can count the number of unremediated (sorry for the crappy terminology) "kernel-level" infections of our clients in the last

I'm new to the Community, I can't wait to be a VIP in the community!!
I just read this article: http://www.webroot.com/En_US/consumer/articles/three-back-to-school-scams-to-avoid My fiancé's kid-brother is staying with us this week. He's moving into the dorm at Denver Metro on Monday. I've been feeling like I'm an old person because when I first moved into the dorms, all we had was dial up internet! And just as the technology has gotten slicker, so have the scam artists. I'll be sure to pass this link along to him. Thanks!! Cole Mersich
I'm new and really like this antivirus so far!
Hey everyone I got a new computer for xmas and it seems as though a lot of the other antivirus programs are not compatible with windows 8; I tried norton 360 and avast and they both were just awful then I saw on PC Mag that webroot took the top honors for 2012 and thought I would give it a try.... and so far I am happy that I did; not only does this antivirus have a small footprint and easy on the resources, it is working great with windows 8 ! I also am finding the support and forum's very helpful and better than with most others I had tried. Hopefully I have found one that I can live and stay with! Happy New Year to all!
