Greetings everyone! I am new here to the Community, but not completely new to Webroot. I have been using it for a year on my own computer, and so far I have had very little trouble with it. Question: I occasionally receive thoughts and comments from other Webroot users. If I come across something that I think might be of interest to others in the community and also Webroot itself (customer comments regarding their experience with the products), would it be appropriate to post, and if so, which forum shold be used for such feedback?

Hello, I'm new to the community. I've been administering and investigating malware events across about 1200 WSA endpoints since March/April 2012. Before that I administered the old Webroot AV for about 1.5 years? I was a huge fan of PrevX and love that WSA is a direct continuation of that lineage. Before Webroot I suffered under the oppression of the absolutely worthless and horrible <OTHER AV PRODUCT GOES HERE>. We also have WWSS but don't use it as much anymore. Bad experiences with earlier versions of the agent, lack of integration, and greater data caps on business cellular modems have reduced our need. I also run our desktop management/patching system and build our computer images. I really, really enjoy the New Product Smell of WSA and the possibilities it has. The protection it has offered my company with the low overhead is great. I can count the number of unremediated (sorry for the crappy terminology) "kernel-level" infections of our clients in the last
I just read this article: http://www.webroot.com/En_US/consumer/articles/three-back-to-school-scams-to-avoid My fiancé's kid-brother is staying with us this week. He's moving into the dorm at Denver Metro on Monday. I've been feeling like I'm an old person because when I first moved into the dorms, all we had was dial up internet! And just as the technology has gotten slicker, so have the scam artists. I'll be sure to pass this link along to him. Thanks!! Cole Mersich

Hey everyone I got a new computer for xmas and it seems as though a lot of the other antivirus programs are not compatible with windows 8; I tried norton 360 and avast and they both were just awful then I saw on PC Mag that webroot took the top honors for 2012 and thought I would give it a try.... and so far I am happy that I did; not only does this antivirus have a small footprint and easy on the resources, it is working great with windows 8 ! I also am finding the support and forum's very helpful and better than with most others I had tried. Hopefully I have found one that I can live and stay with! Happy New Year to all!

:catsad:I know it is not a very good way to start off an intro saying that I need help, but isn't that what we are here for? I downloaded the new Office 2013; Outlook will not process email. It will connect to the incoming server, but will not send the test email. I kept getting an error message. I finally found out what the error code meant. ( Error 0x800CCC0F when sending or receiving email. Usually caused by Antivirus software scanning email, but antispam scanners may cause Outlook to return this error as well. Disable the email scanning or increase the timeout setting. Also, make sure your firewall is allowing the scanner software to connect to the Internet). As you can see, I need to figure out how to increase the timeout setting. Does anyone have an idea on how to do this? I read through the instruction manual until I was blurry eyed and I still cannot figure it out. I really do need to use Outlook, now more then ever. My husband is getting ready to switch intern

I used Window Washer for many years. A while ago I installed Secure Anywhere, then I installed Norton 360 Primier. My SecureAnywhere subscription has now expired and I'm considering renewing. What I want in a product is something which will do the same functions as the old Window Washer did - specifically overwrite unused portions of my hard drive. Does SecureAnywhere do this? If not, does Webroot have a product which does?
I recently received this email from webroot: ‘PayPal Account Modified’ themed emails lead to Black Hole Exploit Kit‘PayPal Account Modified’ themed emails lead to Black Hole Exploit Kit. Could that be connected to a Bill Me Later account? Also, will web root find these "black Hole Explorer Kits and what is the Black Hole Explorer kit? Thanks, Donna
Hey all, I have been using Microsoft Security Essentials on my home computers but have recently put in a Windows Server 2012 Essentials and need AV on that. After doing some research and free trials Webroot looks great. My only problem is determining which product suits me best. What I have: Server - Hyper-V Server 2012 2 x Virtual Machines: Server 2012 Essentials and Windows 8 Physical machines 3 x Windows 8 1 x windows 7 Mobile: 2 x Android I deally I would like everything covered, discounting the Hyper-V host I would need 6 Windows licenses and 2 mobile. That doesn't really fit in to any product from what I can see. I could get 2 x Complete home packs for a total of 10 licenses. Then I have any future VM or devices covered. I am open to the Business version as well as I presume it has an Admin Console where I can manage the other computers. Any ideas?
