Hi everyone. I am in here for the first time. That ransome stuff is pretty scarey. Are they only targeting MAC OS systems (thank God I don't have a mac)? How much ransome? Julie

Ransomware is capable of attacking Windows, MAC OSX, and Linux, with Windows being the most common target, from what I understand.
Ransoms vary by attack and could be hundreds or thousands of dollars. Having an off-site backup or backups on a device not connected to your computer are the best defense against such attacks.
