Viruses in sectors falsely marked as bad

I have read that viruses can take good sectors and mark them as bad and install themselvers there. Anti-virus software may not check a sector if it is marked as bad. The information there is not listed as a file in the partition table so again anti-virus software may never check there.

If you are smart you will zero out any sector that is marked as bad. That would kill this type of virus.

I bet this idea is pantentable. You ought to license it.
