Now that I am using Webroot, do I need to also use any other security/virus etc. program in conjunction with Webroot?  Thank you!

Hi @sailviento

For the most part, you shouldn’t need to use any other tools. Webroot does work quite well alongside existing AV and endpoint solutoins, but that tends to become a resource hog when you start piling up product after product.

It really depends on your environment if you need more. If you are a home user/SOHO, then likely just make sure you have 2FA implemented on all your online accounts from email to banking and everything in between and use strong passwords as well. Oh and we can’t forget good backups, both local and cloud. Look at something like even the built in MAC and Windows File History with an external drive and then Carbonite or Backblaze for online.

Then make sure that you have some sort of spam filtering solution and be very weary of email links and attachments.

If you practice basic cyber hygiene, then you should be good to go with just Webroot.

Larger businesses and enterprises require quite a bit more, but they also have to meet compliance requirements and have a LOT more to lose should something happen to them.

Cheers
