Webroot is excited to announce that we moved the Webroot DNS Protection resolvers to use the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), more information is available here. To take advantage of the change, we need to ensure that everyone is running a current version of the DNS Protection Agent.

Webroot was successfully able to update almost all of these agents. However, some endpoints did not respond correctly and will need a push.

The version you need to take advantage of this change is version 1.3.3.36:

In most instances, a simple reboot or an uninstall through Programs and Features will allow the update to complete.  Once the older version is removed, the most recent release will be automatically installed.

If you needs assistance identifying any stuck updates, please reach out to Support by creating a ticket or by phone – telephone numbers available here.

In some instances, even manually initiating an uninstall may fail.  If this occurs, please reach out to Support as directed above and we will provide assistance in completing the uninstall.
