Why are we offering extended trials?

The current COVID-19 pandemic has fundamentally changed the way businesses and their employees operate. As such, businesses around the world are offering complimentary access to solutions that may help the situation. It’s the right thing to do.

Which products are included in extended trials?

Carbonite Endpoint Protection, Carbonite Backup for Office O365, Webroot Business Endpoint Protection, Webroot DNS Protection, and Webroot Security Awareness Training are included in the trial extensions.

Which products are excluded from this effort?

This offer does not include consumer or other solutions not listed above.

Where and when will extended trials be available?

Extended trials will be offered everywhere they are currently, including on both websites and within the Webroot console, beginning April 1.

When will we stop offering extended trials?

We will re-evaluate the need to extend trials in late April. A decision will be made based on worldwide coronavirus developments, partner feedback, and other metrics. We will continue to evaluate monthly until we determine the time is right to revert to standard 30-day trials.

Can partners opt out of this extended trial promotion?

Trials for the listed products are being extended everywhere. However, you may still close new deals regardless of trial length and bill at a later start date.

Will existing trials be extended automatically?

No. Only net new trials will automatically be extended to 60 days.

What if I have a prospect on a 30-day trial who wants to extend to 60 days?

Partners still have the ability to manually extend trials as deemed necessary.

Will current customers be able to trial our other products for 60 days as well?

Yes. All trials from April 1 until the contingency period ends will be able eligible to be considered under extended timeframe. (A Webroot® Business Endpoint customer, for instance, will be able to trial Webroot® Security Awareness Training for 60 days.)
