Programs and campaigns are functions of Webroot Security Awareness Training.

Campaigns
A campaign is a single phishing simulation or training course sent to a select group of users which provides the basis for reporting and managing Security Awareness Training. Both types of campaigns are created and managed in the Security Awareness Training console. Once a campaign has been created and configured, it can be made part of a program.

Phishing campaigns consist of:
  • A campaign name and description
  • A target list of recipients
  • A customizable phishing email template
  • Defining what happens next for those that are fooled by the phishing campaign
  • The ability to test the email prior to launching the campaign
Training campaigns consist of:
  • A campaign name and description
  • A target list of recipients
  • A customizable welcome email template
  • A designated training course, selected from the catalog of over 30 choices
  • The ability to test the email prior to launching the campaign
Programs
For Security Training, a training program is a schedule of welcome emails, phishing simulation campaigns, and/or training course campaigns. Programs are defined, managed and scheduled in the Security Awareness Training console.

Programs can be used to setup long term training and testing cycles. For example, a program can start with a custom Welcome Email introducing security training followed by a scheduled Training Campaign. After a short period of time, a Phishing Campaign is scheduled to test users. You can then repeat this pattern or setup one customized for your scenario, using the scheduling feature to ensure that the activities occur in the required order and at the desired time.

A program consists of:
  • A program name and description
  • Customizable Welcome Email messages
  • Phishing campaign(s) and/or Training campaign(s)
  • A program schedule that includes defined tasks and start/end dates
  • Reports sent to designated email addresses
More information on configuring programs and campaigns is available in the Security Awareness Training Admin Guide.
