I am new to Webroot. We currently have 30 sites listed in GSM and I want to generate a monthly report that prints each workstation for each site, with totals on machines that have an endpoint and the date that it was installed. I dont want charts, just the actual workstation names, per site for accounting. In other words we bill monthly, passing on the cost of the endpoint for each workstation to the customer. This would be like an accounting report. I have played with the reports in the GSM but they all seem to only do charts. Can someone show me how to do this?
The two posts I've seen regarding this issue are from 2013 and 2015... each post contains verbage that this is "in the works". It's 2018... is it still in the works? I cannot seem to find anywhere on the dashboard or console to remove endpoints I have deactivated. Do I still need to send in a ticket for support to remove them?
When I sort by "status" or "last seen" in group management with a site that has 50+ endpoints, the sorting only applies on a page-by-page basis. For instance, when I sort by status, an endpoint on the second page that "needs attention" will not show up at the top of the first page, but instead will show up at the top of the second page. The sorting applies to each individual page of 50 and doesn't re-sort the whole group of endpoints and re-order them. I'm considering purchasing Webroot for my home network. I have more than 5 devices that would benefit from Webroot, and am trying to decide if I should treat my home network as a small business, or simply buy multiple copies of the home products. I'm currently using a business product from another vendor and am looking to switch. I'm just wondering what the differences are between the Business Endpoint Protection compared to the Home products. Aside from price and support for Windows Server, are there any other significant differences between the two products in terms of the protection they provide or available features?
hello there, without webroot enabled on windows 7 internet browsing works 100%. with webroot enabled we can access pages and sites we type the correct web address for but we cannot perform searches for the same or any other pages. google shows "err empty response" and IE shoes "page cannot be displayed". i have looked at filter catagories and as far as i can see there is nothing blocked that should prevent us from reaching the sites we need. any ideas?
Hi We have the same host name appearing twice in the group management screen of Webroot SecureAnywhere console. How do I remove one of these? One is showing 'protected' with the correct version number, one is showing as 'not seen recently' with the incorrect version number.

I support a user who was given Webroot to install from HSBC bank. He already had Sophos Endpoint installed. During the latest sophos update it appears that Webroot took exception to something in the update and alerted the user who instructed Webroot to clean it. Was just looking thru some of the settings for Firewall/Web shield in advanced settings and I noticed that the box for Web filtering driver was NOT checked by default. I guess I'm not sure exactly what this driver does and whether to check it or not? Are there any disadvantages to having it checked?
Hi, Since release of Windows 10 version 1709, major CPU issues could occour with some clients. Mainly with Internet Explorer and Task Manager. When opening Internet Explorer, the computer simply stops responding. The cursor wont move at first, only after several seconds. Same thing with Task Manager. I've asked our reseller for help but haven't got any feedback on this issue. Now i'm reaching out here, hoping someone might be aware of the same issue? Many of our customers are experiencing this issue and are forced to uninstall Webroot to use the computer. I had the same issue on my computer but after reinstallation of Windows it seems fine. Not a fix for our customers though. Reinstallation all the computers would be too much work and not a solution. Anyone know of a hotfix? Thanks!
Hello, One of my clients has Webroot Secure Anywhere Endpoint Protection installed. The site policy also pushes out the Webroot Chrome extension as well. This particular site is trying to get to a website but they cannot because Webroot Chrome Extension blocks the site for possible Phishing. I already added an Override to the SecureAnywhere > Endpoint Protection > Overrides > Web Overrides, but that didn't solve it. I don't want to uninstall or disable it (policy would push it back out anyway), and user doesn't want to use any other browser (her choice/perogative). Is there a way to whitelist or override a site on the Webroot Chrome Extension?
I used terminal via LiveConnect to check the file using "openssl MD5 [filename]" and got an accurate value then cross-referenced with virusttotal.com which determined it was clean. Are there plans to update whatever command is being used to detect MD5 values on Mac files?

Need Assist to Whitelisting Important almost daily used Software,Webroot Deletes Exe(kmsauto&Keygen)
Hi Team, The "kmsauto" & "Keygen" crack key is getting removed by the webroot even after we excluded/override in the console, The mentioned exe is used to crak the windows OS and Microsoft office but the webroot is identified and removed it. After that deactivating the OS and office products and this leads to stop the business applications which is running based on office activations. Kindly help on this and do the needful. Thank You
Hi. We have recently seen a number of individuals running W10 build 1709 and WSA 184.108.40.206. File shares have become unusable, resulting in a "folder path not found" error in other W10 clients and even from the host PC itself. In all cases, we have found that the host PC can see its own shares, but gets that error when opening them. Other clients get that message when trying to connect to the host, before listing the shares. All of the affected were being managed by the workstation policy with Identity Shield enabled. We have found that after uninstalling the WR client from the portal, and restarting the host PC, that all sharing/access issues are resolved. As yet, we have not reinstalled WRSA on any of the affected machines and all of the affected are being managed by an alternative AV until we can identify what is causing this.
I am testing Webroot and going to buy at least 8 licenses for my clients. However, it looks like that Webroot EU doesn't want to work with such small amount of licenses, so they keep being silent when I requested a quote. While I feel good about Endpoint product, any recommendation where I can buy Webroot business licenses? Can home licenses be used for business, and be managed from GSM?
G'day folks, new here. I joined to get some assistance. I have two clients whose machines froze after rebooting following latest updates to Windows 10 last week. I have reset both computers whilst trying to find the culprit. Installing Webroot on a fresh install of Win10 with updates, no other programs and it freezes. If I install it in safe mode, it installs but the computers freeze when entering desktop. I then have to restore back. What is going on with Webroot?
The last few times I've tried to post a new message or reply to someone, I get the error "Correct the highlighted errors and try again", and below the editor box it'll say something like "The message body contains }, which is not permitted in this community. Please remove this content before sending your post". This seems to happen for random, innocuous bits of punctuation, and sometimes for characters that aren't even there. I've tried it in the latest versions of Firefox and Chrome. Anyone know if there's a workaround or fix for this? By the way, I tried to provide a screenshot, but when I do it gives me the error "The message body contains 18 -02 -27, which is not permitted in this community. Please remove this content before sending your post."
I create a global policy, and apply an override to that policy. The current result is that the organization this is all done under (Organization Alpha) has that override listed in the overrides tab and associates it with that policy. However if I go to organization Beta and apply the same policy as default, it does not have the associated overrides listed in its overrides tab. Are they applied but not listed? Thanks!
Bit of an odd one. Any new computers that I install 19.43 agent on for the first time then get blocked for remote access on the domain. Remote desktop still works but for example navigating to C$ doesn't, neither does the internal VNC. This also blocks it from seeing WSUS or from my deployment software (PDQ) being able to deploy to it. Further, it won't remove Webroot from the web panel, almost certainly related to the fact that the admin share can't be accessed. Any systems that had 18.44 and then updated to 19.43 are fine.
I am trying to deploy Webroot via GPO using the MSI. In order to associate new installations with my key, the instructions are to edit the GUILIC property in the Property table of the MSI using an MSI editor. I open the msi in Orca, go to the table "Property", and then go to the field called "GUILIC" and enter my product key. That field is blank unless filled in. Then, I save the MSI and exit Orca. The problem is, when I run the MSI after closing ORCA, the product key is still blank on Step 2 as though I did not edit the file. Is there something else that needs to be edited? If I run the MSI from a command line with the product key added on, it seems to work, as the product key is entered when I get to step 2, but that isn't the way I am trying to deploy. So: wsasme.msi [product key] works.
I am reconfiguring the plug in in Labtech , the documentation says I have to get the API Access form GSM, inlcuding shows me where I can get the keys. However in my panel doesnt show up anything like the documentation and I am the admin, do I have to unhiden or what to do to get the right GSM panel
Hello. We have a client who is moving IT services to a new MSP, away from ours. In working with the new MSP, we found they also use Webroot, and asked if we could simply "migrate" all existing managed Webroot installs to their control. It looks like I can "push" the new MSP's keycode to all of the workstations and servers in our console by going into each 'Group' and doing a select-all and Agent Commands > Keycode > Change keycode... and punching in the new MSP's keycode provided to us. However, is this the best way to do this? Will exclusions, policies, etc. move over to the new MSP, or are they going to start with only having control of the client's machines, requiring them to push all new policies without knowing anything about the machines or the users' needs? Is there a better way?
