I have a Dell Desktop Computer, I received an email from someone stating they were going to hold my computer ransom, it showed the email that it was sent and received from my email address. I was also on my phone had plans to go to the police, just before I started to go into the station I looked and the email had disappeared. My question why wasn't I alerted to this or caught as malware? Thank You
Hi We have the same host name appearing twice in the group management screen of Webroot SecureAnywhere console. How do I remove one of these? One is showing 'protected' with the correct version number, one is showing as 'not seen recently' with the incorrect version number.
I am curiously searching for best antivirus. I have read different articles about different antiviruses where they have showed that recent Lab Test proves that other antivirus Like BitDefender. McAfee and etc have scored Advance +. I am bit confused. Will it be better option to have Webroot?
I am new to Webroot. We currently have 30 sites listed in GSM and I want to generate a monthly report that prints each workstation for each site, with totals on machines that have an endpoint and the date that it was installed. I dont want charts, just the actual workstation names, per site for accounting. In other words we bill monthly, passing on the cost of the endpoint for each workstation to the customer. This would be like an accounting report. I have played with the reports in the GSM but they all seem to only do charts. Can someone show me how to do this?
I have a folder w/subfolders in the Webroot Anywhere folder in Backup & Sync. Over the past several months I have deleted the folder many times. It continues to return with all the subfolders. I was able to delete the files within the folders but not the actual folders. I have deleted from the cloud…...I have deleted from the computer…. I have deleted from both places within seconds of each other. Nothing has worked. It seems it is stuck in space. Is there a solution other than submitting a ticket?

Hi All. I bought webroot thinking I could schedule a custom scan, but it looks like webroot cant do this, so I am looking for a work around. I have an external storage device, that I wanted to schedule scans for. Unless I am missing something, it looks like you cant save a custom scan, so you can schedule it. Is there some way to create a schedule of custom locations? OR, as a thought on an alternative; I do see where you can right click on a location, and then click “Scan with Webroot”. Is there a way to take the “right click to Scan with Webroot”, a step further, and create a bat file, to execute a webroot scan on a location? If the scan could be initiated by a bat file, or some other recomended means like that; then maybe that means could be set on a task scheduler job Ultimately, I need a way to set a schedule for scanning mapped drives or UNC Paths. Looking for any creative work around, to make that happen with Webroot. Thanks Dan.
The Optimizer program runs all the time and leaves many message blocks on my computer that have to be deleted, saying the program is being run and will finish shortly but it never does. I cannot get it to stop this even though I removed Webroot from my computer and reinstalled it. I am using Windows 10 and it is driving me crazy.
Bit of an odd one. Any new computers that I install 19.43 agent on for the first time then get blocked for remote access on the domain. Remote desktop still works but for example navigating to C$ doesn't, neither does the internal VNC. This also blocks it from seeing WSUS or from my deployment software (PDQ) being able to deploy to it. Further, it won't remove Webroot from the web panel, almost certainly related to the fact that the admin share can't be accessed. Any systems that had 18.44 and then updated to 19.43 are fine.
Hi, there:I have been looking for the structure or format of webroot event log and havent find anything yet. I updated my phone app for the Webroot SecureAnywhere Mobile and also the SecureWeb app, and as soon as I did, I began to get the yellow warning that my scan was out of date. I got to manually run the scan and the yellow section on the left of the progress bar just sits there at a sliver size, then the swirling circle appears and it says scan complete and everything is protected, my app page is nice and green and everything looks normal. Until I go back to the main screen which gives me the yellow icon that warns that my scan is old as of right now. So, what do I do to fix it? Help!!!!
After recently terminating a 3rd party IT support service they sent a remote consol command to remove their remotely managed Webroot Secure Anywhree from our network (45 workstations & 5 W Std 2102R2 servers). Although the console shows from their end that all agents were deactivated and uninstalled, that is certainly not the case. The next day, completely unaware the failed uninstall attempt occured, I came in to find all 5 W Std 2012 r2 servers c: drives completely full. I then discovered the reason was Webroot created a WRLog.log file in c:WindowsTemp directory that expanded exponentially until maximum storage space was depleted. After contacting a support tech from the IT mgmt service we were finally able to stop the service, delete the expanded WRLog,log file and then manually uninstall the agent from the cmd line for all of the servers. The following day, the problem started all over again and I had to go through all the steps to delete the temp log file once aga
