How to remove devices from my webroot account without having access to the management console that everyone keeps talking about?
Hello I seem to be either an idiot or simply am technologically illiterate, but what I want to know is there a way to remove devices from my webroot account without the management console or contacting support? I know, seems impossible, but all I want to know is if its safe to install webroot secureanywhere on my 2 Windows partitions or is there something I have to do before I can. I currently do not have access to the Windows Installations that had webroot installed and had to reinstall both Windows Operating Systems due to problems with the boot loader but that also removed my ability to uninstall webroot before handif there is a way please let me know. if I am just an idiot or technically illiterate please tell me (Please don’t).Regards,Kevin M.
Hello, Webroot Community.I run Webroot utilities every morning in order to keep things clean on my Windows 10 (Dell) desktop PC.I click on the Save Report button, which saves the report on my desktop. I’d like to configure Webroot to place the report file into a folder which I specify. Please offer suggestions. Thanks.
So many issues! Buttons in the desktop dashboard panel stops working randomly, namely the 'Learn more', 'Get started ' and also the button that allows you to submit a suspicious URL for analysis. And the mobile app is even worse because it just zaps out the batter life of the device. I'm using the latest version of the mobile app and my phone is Pixel 4a (4g) It takes forever to connect with someone when you can their support number plus since I am outside of the USA, it's very costly too.
So, the 5 billionth search scam popped up on my phone. This is fine, I just closed out of it, as I did when I had gotten it on my computer before. There was a difference, however. On the computer, I had clicked a website that redirected me there. On my phone, I was looking up the meaning of a word, and without clicking anything, was suddenly redirected there. How did that happen?
When will Mobile and Chromebook devices be displayed in the My Account Portal? I am accessing my account via the New Carbonite Webroot portal page. I am on the Security Summary and I should have 5 devices. Only 2 PC’s show up. Nothing for the phones or chromebook. How I am supposed to know how many keycodes I have left and where they were distributed? Also, if I had to deactivate one of these devices (because I have a two year subscription) there’s no way to do that either. The older portal had many features you could run directly from it. They were under the COMMANDS section. There was SCAN, System Optimizer, Restart PC, DEACTIVATE, Cleanup, Lock PC, Shutdown PC. It also required the security code one created when logging in.But the new Carbonite portal is missing these features. They added security questions but not the security code. And there are no Commands like I listed above. The whole thing is very confusing from a consumer point of view.
I received an e-mail to a rarely used account from Sophoss with an embedded image of an invoice stating they received my “online” payment along with a phone number. I called they claimed they received payment by check, het nothing showed in my accounts supposedly from for antivirus subscription? I also rec'd an email from myself stating my WebRoot subscription renewal will be $374.00 and had Geek Squad logo, etc. When I called BB GS they had no knowledge of what I was talking about. I presumed the GS e-mail was a scam as it did not have my new key code. WebRoot CS suggested I contact BB GS specifically for WedRoot support. Given they did not ask for any account or credit card info. and nothing has hit my accounts or credit cards, I cannot take any more action. Appreciate any feedback.
Hi All, i have one customer having pfsense firewall and the customer limiting the internet access from all end-users, with webroot require to allow wildcard addresses on the firewall but unfortunately pfsense not supporting wildcard domain is there any solution to allow the client work with webroot ? looking for your support
We do lots of work with remote networks that use a VPN for connection. I've noticed that when we do utilize a slower VPN, the PC performance goes to crap. Everything, even the simplist things such as right-clicking a file, or opening an RDP file take extra long, but it almost seems a bit random. If I shut-down WebRoot protection, performance returns. I can only assume WebRoot is trying to route traffic through the VPN, but the fact that there's such a slowdown, just simply because the network connection is poor is a bit concerning for me. Is there any way to tell WebRoot to either delegate to the base network connection, or potentially hold off on much of it's network activity when a VPN app or network connection is established?
I have been looking for this for a very long time now, maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, but I have tried to find a way to automaticly create a monthly report of installed agents. The image below shows the image that i see. The below link is outdated, and is not in the version I have. https://community.webroot.com/t5/Product-Questions/Sending-automated-scheduled-reports-to-clients/td-p/225019
I've recently seen this problem on a second server, on totally separate networks. Webroot stops communicating with the web console. On one machine this manifested as Webroot showing the subscription was expired. On another machine the symptom was that the agent was shown with a status of 'Not Seen Recently' in the console The fix for both of these was to Install the Starfield Class 2 Certificate into the Trusted Root Certification Authority store on the machine and bingo - comms restored. As I've now seen this on a second server I'm concered this could be a wider issue. Has anyone else seen this or have further information? First let me say I followed the deactivation instructions to the letter and all the devices were deactivated. Deactivation is not my problem. I have 4 devices with webroot installed. A few days ago I was checking my account and found 7 devices listed in Security. Some were duplicates and 1 device was not listed. I first did virus scans with webroot on all 4 devices then checked in my security list for the dates of the latest scahns. Only 1 device was showing the just completed scans. I then deactivated all the devices except the 1 that showed my latest scan. I now have 1 device listed in Security and is correctly showing the device information . After reinstalling webroot on the remaining 3 devices none will appear in my Security list. I did 3 or more scans on the three devices and waited much more than 30 minutes. Actually I've been at it noe for almost two days scanning, uninstalling webroot, scanning again, and nothing except the one device is listed in Security.
