Trouble saving files to network file share
We have users who randomly are unable to save files like Word, Excel or other to network shares, typically over a VPN connection. When doing so they get "file is currently in use try again later" messages. It doesn't happen all of the time, however you can typically recreate the issue by opening and saving a file a few different times. In our troubleshooting we found that removing Webroot SecureAnywhere off of the client machine resolved the issue. Once re reinstalled the client we had saving problems again. We also isolated the server with the file shares by removing any A/V that was installed with no net effect. Any ideas what might be causing this on on the client side? Like I mentioned, only happens over the VPN, I do not have the same problems when opening and saving files on the local network so there must be something the Webroot client is doing in the communication stream to create the problem.
Webroot Freezing Win10 after latest updates
G'day folks, new here. I joined to get some assistance. I have two clients whose machines froze after rebooting following latest updates to Windows 10 last week. I have reset both computers whilst trying to find the culprit. Installing Webroot on a fresh install of Win10 with updates, no other programs and it freezes. If I install it in safe mode, it installs but the computers freeze when entering desktop. I then have to restore back. What is going on with Webroot?
Is WSA updated to detect the current Wannacry ransomeware
Where can I go to verify whether or not Webroot detects the current Wannacry malware? I've tried checking the kb and blog but no info. You'd think with this being a global news story, Webroot would have published something specifically on this by now?
WSA page maintenance
I just installed WSA on two Android devices and did initial scans on them. When I go to the WSA website on my PC, the home page shows that I have 2 devices protected. However, when I click on the Mobile Security button, either on the tab line or the button within Mobile Security box, it brings me to a page where all I see is this: There is nothing else on the page. No menu icon, no tabs at the top. Nothing. I clicked on the X but it is unresponsive. All I can do is to use the back button to navigate back to the home page. How can I have the Mobile Security page display the two mobile android devices that I installed WSA and that the home page shows that they are protected?
Stop with the popups "Sign up for My Account" and other popups. Just STOP.
Giving McAfee and other cancerous anti-virus a run for its money in terms of ANNOYING and OBNOXIOUSWho thought allow Webroot SecureAnywhere to send popups to their customers was a good idea? This is beyond annoying. I have never seen these sort of annoying popups until now this month and I’ve been subscribed since 2016. Stop asking us to sign up for “My Account” and stop asking us to accept your terms of service. How many times do I have to close these damn popups before I chargeback my credit card?
C Cleaner hit again
I downloaded the latest update of Piriform's C Cleaner about an hour ago. Everything looked authentic. No sooner had the download completed than WSA 'zapped' it- apparently it is carrying malware, trojans etc. WSA blocked it, removed it and ra a clean of my PC, then gave me a comforting clean bill of health and a note that it did not appear that any banking etc data had been accessed- I don't do on line banking anyway, but that's not the point. I am impressed with the incredible speed with which WSA acted. As a back up I also ran MalwareBytes afterwrds & that too assured me that all was well. Having now read Google I found a disturbing number of previous incidents where hackers had got into C Cleaner. I wonder how long it will be before Piriform finds out and cleans its own system up? Anyway, folks, I suggest you don't download today's update 12th March 2019 and WELL DONE WSA- WORTH EVERY PENNY.
Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Support
I hate to ask this and please no responses telling me to get off these versions of Windows because they aren't supported by Microsoft. I already know that and I'm pushing for upgrades, but I don't control the budget. My question is, how much longer will Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 be supported. The last report I can find on Windows XP is April 2019, but that was from 2014 and it said that might be extended. I don't have any info on Windows Server 2003. Thanks for anyone that can give me an answer to this! Thanks, Nic
I have a Galaxy S7 using version 22.214.171.124787 of the Webroot Security Anywhere app. The persistent status shield in the notification bar and the token on the app icon will not go away. Also, there is no option in the General Setting to disable this. This started after an update, so I figure it was a glitch. When I tried reinstalling the app nothing changed. If this is intentional, please change this. If it is not, does anyone know how to fix this issue without disabling notifications as a whole?
Could someone help with LastPass?
LastPass cannot enter stored passwords on multiple sites, yet is works on some. Could someone please help or suggest a better product? Although the correct passwords are saved in the vault just the others, LP will not enter them. WEBROOT Password manager was so much better! LastPass is only about 10% as functional. I feel betrayed by a company It’d trusted for years.
Where is the Complaint Department?
My password didn’t work. I create a new one and it works only once. This started yesterday. I asked Webroot Support for help , they said Community Support Is out of their hands - Where is the Complaint Department for help logging in to the Webroot Community? I am running Webroot Secure Anywhere on Windows 10 PCs and a Android 9 cellphone,
What can I do to remove the Webroot Caution on my website in Google search?

How do I remove the Webroot Filtering Extension from Firefox?
The Webroot Filtering Extension is crashing tabs in Firefox 80.0.1; however, I can’t remove/uninstall the add-on even if I uninstall Webroot completely. I can’t remove it in the new Edge browser either. Also, how can I stop Webroot from managing Firefox and other browsers after I uninstall it from my system?
I have the Win32.localinfect.2 on my computer but it won't come off
I have the Win32.localinfect.2 on my computer but it won't come off. I’m 14 years old on an expensive PC my dad built, I’m using WebRoot antivirus but for some reason when I try to delete it with this antivirus it sort of like, adds more virus files to my PC, please please help me because from the research I've done the antivirus should do the work and this virus can be very very dangerous later on if I don’t do something about it.
Webroot not updating to the latest version?
We're having a problem where multiple users are stuck on an older version of the software (126.96.36.199) and I'm not able to get the software to update without uninstalling and installing the software again. When I try to select the 'refresh configuration' option from one of the agents that is having this issue, I get an error saying it's currently using the newest software. This is occurring on our windows and mac users. Does anyone know of a command I can push through the webroot portal or of an agent procedure I can use to force the agent to update without having to reinstall it?
Cannot uninstall, & not showing in web console
I cannot uninstall webroot from a customer's computer using add/remove programs. I tried "C:Program Files (x86)WebrootWRSA.exe" –uninstall" and it says "are you sure you want to uninstall" and I say yes, then it says it's being managed by the central console and I have to make the changes there. BUT, the machine doesnt' show anywhere in the console either. I need to get this off the customer's computer so that I can reinstall using a different procedure and get it to show in the management console. Help! ~Matt
Reverting files to previous versions
Hi, I am sure I've read about Webroot being the only one AV which has the possibility to revert files to previous versions (especially in case of *crypt* ransomware infection). But I have never seen such an option anywhere inside WRSA. I know exactly what Previous Versions under Windows OS are. And I know how Windows works. But I was hoping Webroot has some ADDITIONAL MECHANISM to be able to revert to previous version, regardless of Windows native file history. Did I get it wrong about Webroot possibilites? Or am I missing something? Thanks!
Deploying via GPO
Hey guys I was hoping someone could possibly help me out. Now I wont lie when I say I'm really liking this stuff, but the only problem IM having is deploying with GPO. It shouldn't be this hard but for some reason its not working at all. I even did a little test and it went like this I put the folder on the root of C of a test server, shared it out like I was supposed to in the youtube vid they have. I put both firefox, AND webroot in there, so both would have the same permissions. I then set the GPOs up the exact same, nothing was different. Then I moved it to the OU where it is going to end up, i did a gpupdate on the server, then on my computer, then logged off and back on. when i logged back on, firefox was there, webroot was not? Why is webroot not installing at all i keep getting the same thing when i do gpresult -r. The following GPOs were not applied because they were filtered out Local Group Policy Filtering: Not Applied (Empty) and like I said b
