Hello,A few weeks ago, I purchased a new subscription, entered the key code, and after all this time, I am still seeing my subscription is expired on the WebRoot app (Windows 10 64bit, regularly updated). That said, scans are still being performed as scheduled and the results show threats are being detected/removed as usual. Everything looks good, and then the app has a big red header with “Protected” and an exclamation mark and is providing “Subscription Expired”If this is more or less just a bug with the app, no big deal, as long as I’m actually protected. WebRoot is great, so I hope the issue is just that. If anyone can advise, that’d be great. Thanks.Ben
I can no longer access the email address I used to create my account, and I forgot my Webroot password. So the “forgot password” link is useless since I will not receive the email with instructions to reset the password. I tried opening a support ticket, but it took six days to get a response, which was to call tech support. I tried that, but was on hold for more than an hour before giving up. So I have no access to the software. And when it auto renews later this year, I won't be able to stop it since I can’t access my account. What am I supposed to do to access my account?
Have a new Samsung Tab A that when i go to log in to my Webroot account, I receive an error message - “Too Many Open Sessions. Please log out of Webroot on one of your devices.” I factory reset the old Tab A and only have a phone, desk top and new Tablet, that’s only 3 out of 5. So why the message and how do I clear it ??
Hello all, I am fairly new to webroot, and just lately have been deploying 200 computers more or less with webroot. My problem is that:

Deployment of webroot went great. (webroot installed).
keycode didn't get registered. The deployment script was missing a "/" before KEY=
I cannot see the agent/client on our web console.
I can only manually remove / add new keycode or remove the software.
My questions is then, isn't there a way to "deploy" an keycode update towards all of my clients? without using the web console, since none of the 200 laptops showed up, because the keycode wasn't registered due to a typo in the deployment script. How ever - i have tried running: C:\Program Files (x86)\Webroot\WRSA.exe" -uninstall - from our software distribution "software. But this doesn't start the uninstallation. I can do it manually, but have to enter a CAPTCHA code. But then I need to go manually through them all anyway??! Haven't webroot create
Can i create a MSI installation file with both productkey and group name? i know about the command lines but i want one file easy to install for clients that puts them in the right group at ounce. thanks in advance Mattias
Hello all, appreciate any help in advance. I'm looking for a way to block Amazon Prime Video website without having to block the entire amazon.com domain. I'm using Webroot Endpoint protection, as well as DNS Protection. Any ideas?
I've recently seen this problem on a second server, on totally separate networks. Webroot stops communicating with the web console. On one machine this manifested as Webroot showing the subscription was expired. On another machine the symptom was that the agent was shown with a status of 'Not Seen Recently' in the console The fix for both of these was to Install the Starfield Class 2 Certificate into the Trusted Root Certification Authority store on the machine and bingo - comms restored. As I've now seen this on a second server I'm concered this could be a wider issue. Has anyone else seen this or have further information? Hi guys, Is there a way to block files depend on extensions? In the whilelist I can do that to allow them but in the blacklist there is no option but MD5, so if I want to prevent scripts files to work with extensions like *.js,*.jar,*.bat, ..etc, is there a way to do that?
The reason I chose Webroot over other anti-virus software is because supposedly, it’s not a resource hog. The past couple of days my hard drive is spinning non-stop and the culprit appears to be Webroot. I was not able to kill the Webroot processes or uninstall the software as Windows is telling me I don’t have Administrator’s privilege although I had no issue uninstalling other software. I’m running Windows 10. When I opened the Webroot console, it freezes whenever I tried to make any change to the setting.
Hi, As we are starting to deploy Webroot, we are trying to figure out a way to hide the interface from the users (we know how to do that) but we also want the option to open the interface in case, as help desk IT guys, we need to check configure change something locally. As logging into the Web console from the endpoints is a bit of a hassle, and changing the policy every time to show hide the GUI interface is also not very convenient. Is there a way to set a password to all the endpoints under a group policy? Thanks, Elior
Hello,I’ve had this long running problem (for about 2 years) where a “save as” dialog box appears on my laptop after I log back in after it’s been asleep asking me to save a file of unknown type (the box only gives me the option to save it as an “all files” type). I figure it’s some sort of virus, but I don’t know what it’s trying to accomplish. I never save the file and always choose “cancel,” but I don’t know what will make it stop and whether my laptop is compromised in any way. To be sure, the dialog box appears despite not having chosen to download anything either before or after my laptop went to sleep - it appears randomly. I’ve included an image below of the “save as” dialog box in case it helps. Also, I’m using a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro running on Windows 10 with an active Webroot Internet Security Plus subscription which I’ve had for about 4 years. Any help as to how to resolve this problem would be much appreciated, thank you!
I cannot download any kind of data anymore. every time i try it, i get a Windows error message “ error- error while scanning for virus” but the data i want to download is safe. I checked if it has something to do with google chrome but that does not seem to be the case. Now i think the problem might bei Webroot. Can you tell me what i should to next?
Moderator note: This conversation has been moved from a different thread. I hope Opentext improves the technical support. They seem to have gone on vacation or something. Multiple attempts to contact, no reply. Several difficulties this week. Not very impressive.
The Webroot ratings on my Google searches have always worked fine until today. When it was working I would get a green circle informing me that the website I'm about to go to is okay, but now I get a gray circle and when I hover over it I get a "Rating temporarily unavailable...." message. Is there a system-wide Webroot problem or should I be doing something to restore the ratings? Please advise. Thanks. Tom
Received webroot notify viber base.apk contains trojan virus. 1. Ran quarantine and deleted app. 2. Reinstalled viber via google play.. 3. Receieved same error 4. Ran quarantine and delete. According to google play, viber product was updated 26nov19. Uncertain if legitimate problem or discrepancy between webroot and viber. If actual problem, how do i resolve to reinstall app. Thanks in advance. Dj
