The tech support team has not been able to solve the problem.
Moderator note: This conversation has been moved from a different thread. I hope Opentext improves the technical support. They seem to have gone on vacation or something. Multiple attempts to contact, no reply. Several difficulties this week. Not very impressive.
Suspicious email from Upclick
I have received a suspicious email from Upclick for renewal of PDF Suite 2017. It advises that there will be an automatic renewal charge of $59.95 for the renewal in July. I have no knowledge of what this is for...and am assuming it is a scam. There is no mention of a credit card to be charged, just the dollar amount and date. Is this a phishing scam?

Trying to embed Group in wsasme.msi using Orca
I need to embed a group association into the wsasme.msi file before providing the installer to a client. I've reviewed the documentation and tried to use Orca.exe to do so, and in my tests the endpoint is always added to the Default Group. I've selected the group I want to specify, then from the Actions menu chose 'Deploy endpoints to this group' in order to obtain the group code. I then tried setting the CMDLINE property in the .msi file to this: "SME,quiet,Group=-nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn" /qn /l*v %windir%wsa_install_log.txt Trying to make this work, I've tried making the word group lower-case. I've tried removing everything after the quote marks (at the end of the Group code). I've tried using the Group name instead of number. No matter what I try, my test endpoint is always added to the Default Group. My test endpoint is a VM, and after each failed attempt, I am uninstalling WR, deactivating the endpoint in the WR portal, renaming the end

Hi, I've been using Webroot SecureAnywhere for 10 days, and I've for an external disk that infected with auto-run malware, which I am used to clean it with antivirus I was using without name, now after scanning with SecureAnywhere, it gave me 59 infected files and I choose to remove them at all, and after removal successed it fave me recheck if there is any other infected files and again it checks for malwares and found 11 infected files and did as previous, and this is the forth time it founds 11 infected files but at this time it didn't do the removal as previous, but alert me as screenshot following, what I can do in this case?! Really it is a bad experience in first trial before switching!
How do I learn about the infections that webroot is protecting my computer from
Hello. I have had webroot secureAnywhere on my computer for about 6 months and it just started picking up infected files. With other programs, I have been able to see which files were infected, where they were located and also get info about them. With webroot, it just tells me that it has protected me from 6 files and it list the last one. Latest threat removed from your devices: Filename: MDX3DriverInstaller.exe Malware type: Win32.LocalInfect.2 Thanks Steve
I have a Galaxy S7 using version 126.96.36.199787 of the Webroot Security Anywhere app. The persistent status shield in the notification bar and the token on the app icon will not go away. Also, there is no option in the General Setting to disable this. This started after an update, so I figure it was a glitch. When I tried reinstalling the app nothing changed. If this is intentional, please change this. If it is not, does anyone know how to fix this issue without disabling notifications as a whole?
So,.....I cannot get into my Password manager for a while now, so I cannot access some sites no matter what I do because I didn't write all those fancy generated passwords down. I have proposals to write and no access. blah! I wondered why no one answered here for a while, but I had been banned for most of the last several weeks I have been in the community, because the "AI" thought I was a spammer. Despite my 1st ever question in the community being legitimate and needed. So far, NOT impressed at all. Thinking I should just drop my 13/14 year association with Webroot and find a good service. Very grumpy. I get I shouldn't have relaxed with my passwords. You always account for system fails and I didn't.

C Cleaner hit again
I downloaded the latest update of Piriform's C Cleaner about an hour ago. Everything looked authentic. No sooner had the download completed than WSA 'zapped' it- apparently it is carrying malware, trojans etc. WSA blocked it, removed it and ra a clean of my PC, then gave me a comforting clean bill of health and a note that it did not appear that any banking etc data had been accessed- I don't do on line banking anyway, but that's not the point. I am impressed with the incredible speed with which WSA acted. As a back up I also ran MalwareBytes afterwrds & that too assured me that all was well. Having now read Google I found a disturbing number of previous incidents where hackers had got into C Cleaner. I wonder how long it will be before Piriform finds out and cleans its own system up? Anyway, folks, I suggest you don't download today's update 12th March 2019 and WELL DONE WSA- WORTH EVERY PENNY.
Carbonite has become a major irritation. Not only is it abominably slow but every time I’m diverted to it I’m questioned by an annoying security app only to find my password doesn’t work. I seem to have to generate a new one for each visit. Last time I visited I forgot my password I clicked on the resulting email and found myself logged in to my account!!!Why has Webroot put itself in the hands of these amateurs? Who are they anyway? Norton killed itself doing a similar thing when it hitched up with Symantec.
Removal of Web Threat Shield from Edge
I’ve tried again and again to remove the Web Threat Shield after uninstalling Webroot. I cannot get the extenion to shut off or uninstall. I cannot even delete the files as they are locked by the system. This is my home computer, and I can’t remove this! How can you make software that is this invasive that I can’t remove it?!
*Firewall not working in according to PCMag review
Hello there 🙂 I am trialing Webroot I S Complete again--I was a past user and really liked it a few years ago and coming round to possibly getting it again. I recently read Neil Rubinking’s in depth review of Webroot and he mentioned the firewall wasn’t working at that point in time, which seemed pretty concerning to me. Just wondered if users were ever notified/aware of this issue during that time? And also, if it has been fixed? Thank you for your past helpful hints on this forum and for reading my question. Sincerely,Jeff
