I was contacted by Amazon, eBay, and Wells Fargo today. They all said that an unrecognized IP address was using my account and asked me to change my passwords. Is Webroot supposed to catch this? Of do I need more protection on my computer?

May I ask how you were contacted by these company's? Phone call or email? Could it be a Phishing scam? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-yG2hR95-8

An unrecognized IP address was using my account could be many things and I don't know if you have a Static IP or a Dynamic IP address or if you use a proxy or a VPN? Now if you have accounts with these places then I would got to each site directly and don't use any links if they were sent to you via email or text and change your passwords as you should every once in awhile.

Now should Webroot protect you from unrecognized IP addresses? No but WSA has many protective Shields so unless you are infected in which I doubt I would suggest that you Submit a Support Ticket and ask them for a security check on the said device such as your PC! I received emails from all three. There was an unauthorized purchase on my Amazon account and subsequent charge to my credit card. Amazon cancelled the order. The other two might be a phishing scheme, so I will go directly on the websites to change my passwords. I am pretty tech illiterate and do not know if I have a Static or Dynamic IP address or use a proxy or VPN. I will submit a support ticket. Thank you!

Great and support will make sure you are malware free and that's the main thing. Again if you don't have accounts with the other two just ignore the emails and don't click on any links in them! But if you do have accounts with them go to there site directly and change your passwords as well and look for anything fishy.

There are two things possible!
1: Either your email account was hacked and you should change the password for your email accounts as well.
2: Email spoofing it's like spam but they are phishing emails so never click on any links within emails from people or accounts you don't have like you got from Amazon, eBay, and Wells Fargo as they try to get you put in your username and password to steal your credentials; and go direct to there site a sign-in from there.

So today someone tried to use my bank debit card to make large purchases in two different states. My bank's fraud department caught it and sent me an email asked if these purchases were mine. I went to a bank branch and the rep told me my information might have been stolen by a skimming machine at a gas station. UGH! will this ever end?

I have tried to request the security sweep following the link you sent. After I enter my email address I am asked to enter the password that was sent to me. I have not received a password so I haven't been able to submit the request.

Are you using a VPN? Which could account for unrecognized IP address. Banks usually do not send emails regarding fraud attempts, at least not in Canada???

Bank do send emails here in the US. At least our bank does. They also send a list of the purchases in question and ask if they are your purchases. They then give you the option to immediately block any further transactions.
