Managing distribution lists for alerts in Webroot Business Management consoles


This document contains information on how to manage the distribution lists used for alerts in Webroot Business Management consoles. To see steps for Webroot MSP Management consoles, click here. For more information on console types (including how to determine the one in use), click here.

The distribution lists that are used for Webroot Business Endpoint Protection alerts can be managed from the Alerts tab in the Webroot Management console. Additional information on distribution lists is available in the user guide, click here.

Note: To manage distribution lists for alerts, the user account must have permissions for Alerts: Create & Edit.

To create a new distribution list:
1. Log into the Webroot Management console, click the Alerts tab.
2. Select the Distribution Lists sub tab.
3. Click the Add button to add a new distribution list.
  • For Name, enter the name to use for the distribution list.
  • For Email Addresses, enter the email addresses, separated by a comma.
  • Click Create to continue and create the new list.
To manage existing distribution lists:
1. Log into the Webroot Management console, click the Alerts tab.
2. Select the Distribution Lists sub tab.
3. The existing distribution lists will be displayed by name, in the left panel. Clicking one will display the name of the list and show the email addresses currently associated with it, in the right panel.
  • Use the right panel to change the distribution list name or the email addresses that it contains. Remember to separate email addresses by comma.
4. Once the changes have been made click Save to save them.
