Verifying domains and loading targets are important tasks that need to be completed before phishing or training campaigns can be created.

Verifying domains involves defining the domain(s) that will be used as part of campaigns. Email domains are added by adding an email address from that domain. A message will be sent to the provided email address and once the link contained in the message is clicked, that will complete verification.

Note: Public domains, such as gmail.com and yahoo.com are not supported.

Loading targets involves entering information for the users that will be included as part of campaigns. Targets can be entered one at a time, in batches, or uploaded via CSV. Name (first/last), email addresses and tags are the data stored in relation to targets, with email address being the most important.

How to verify domains:
1. Log into the Webroot Management console.
2. Open the Security Awareness Training console.
3. Click Domains in the left navigation menu, which opens the Verified Domains screen.
4. In the Add new domain box, add a valid email address from the domain in question, preferably one that you have access to.
5. The system will send a verification message to the email address provided. Once the link in the verification message is clicked, that will complete verification of that domain.
6. Repeat these steps for each domain that needs to be added.

How to load targets:
1. Log into the Webroot Management console.
2. Open the Security Awareness Training console.

4. Once all the target data has been entered, click the green Import button to load the entries.

>>To upload a target list via CSV:
1. Select the Upload Targets radio button.
2. The system can use a CSV file or an LDIF file to complete the upload.
3. For CSV file upload, click here for the CSV template.
4. For LDIF file (LDAP/AD export) upload, the fields include:

  • ou: (organizational unit) will be treated as ‘tags’ (optional)
