We’re all spending way more time online these days, which means it’s more important than ever to take extra precautions about our cybersecurity. But, when we surveyed people in all 50 states about their online safety behaviors and know-how, we learned that a lot of people still aren’t taking their online security seriously.

Tune in on March 31st at 10:00 AM Mountain Time. You can sign up for the event here.

Be sure to hit ‘Get Reminder’

For example:

  • Nearly 1 in 5 Americans rarely or never back up their files and data
  • Even though 1 in 4 people has had their identity stolen, most people still don’t use identity protection services
  • Tech savvy people are worse about their online security than others
  • Small business owners who know better still aren’t taking precautions, even though they face twice the average risk of suffering a cyberattack
  • The average person won’t change their online security habits until they’ve had a devastating consequence (of people whose identities have been stolen, 78% made changes to improve their security online)

To get a better grasp on these stats and the current state of cybersecurity, we’re hosting a Facebook Live Event with security experts Tyler Moffitt (@TylerM) and Briana Butler (@bbutler) of Webroot. They’ll offer insider tips and insights on the survey results, reveal which states have the riskiest behaviors and which are the safest, and arm you with the knowledge you need to bounce back from an attack.

Have a question for Tyler or Briana, feel free to ask below!

Thanks to everyone that joined our FB Live today with @TylerM and @bbutler. We had a lot of questions come in early that we couldn't’ get to during the Q&A but be on the lookout as we’ll post the answers on the community within a week.

Thanks again!
