Questions About a Webroot Product? Start Here!
Hi all, wondering if an ‘open’ in SAT is an actual open if the client is using Outlook’s preview pane. Research shows some say yes, some say only if images are allowed, some say no, one says to ignore it because only clicked links should count. But specifically within Webroot’s Security Awareness Training, if a client is using Outlook, does ‘open’ in a campaign include people who see it in preview pane only? ThanksFranco
I renewed my webroot internet security subscription 4/08/2022 and am having difficulty, even after multiple tries, to apply the renewal. I have a key code but do not know where to put the number so the subscription will be renewed.
Hello. I wanted to know, does uninstalling Webroot Antivirus delete it from all PC users using the software, or just the one you are uninstalling it from?
Good morning , I would like the telephone number of the technical assistance in France.Thank you

Do Need to have Microsoft firewall on if I have Webroot fire wall turned on. I keep getting message's saying I am not protected because the Microsoft firewall isn't turned on. Does it hurt to have them both turned on.
This notification is relentless, alerting me every five minutes! I’m not 100% sure it’s even coming from Webroot. It’s telling me to download the new app from Play Store, Launch the new app and create an account (already have an account, why is it asking me to create a new account?), and remove the retired app. Is this really coming from Webroot, or am I being scammed?
Hello All,So, received VERY troubling news from Webroot Support and I could really use some guidance here. For the past 8 or 9 years I’ve been a webroot customer. The very first time I renewed I added a new keycode to my account, only find out that I lost all remaing days, and had to start all over setting up Backup. Come to find out that Webroot doesn’t work like most software and that I had actually replaced my account, not renewed it. So, every year since then I have purchased a new keycode and then asked support to add the time to my account, thus avoiding any hassles or lost days.Well, Webroot has informed that they won’t do that anymore…From Support… Unfortunately, we are unable to combine subscriptions in this manner. We would be able to do the reverse, however, and add the remaining days from your existing subscription. This should not cause any issues as far as your LastPass subscription goes, as you will just need to add the new keycode to your Carbonite + Webroot management
I’ve tried again and again to remove the Web Threat Shield after uninstalling Webroot. I cannot get the extenion to shut off or uninstall. I cannot even delete the files as they are locked by the system. This is my home computer, and I can’t remove this! How can you make software that is this invasive that I can’t remove it?!
Dear Sir/Madam,I just installed Webroot Wi-fi Security on my system after ordering it but once I connect it I can’t access the internet ie bing and yahoo also why must I download the software more than once because it’s not connecting?
Loving to use Winget (sorry, no Wingate) for all software installed upgrade, I found for my surprise that it detected Webroot installed under Webroot SecureAnywhere (Installed Webroot Endpoint Protection v9.0.32.60)And it says (as you can see) ‘Successfully Installed’, but Webroot Console online says nothing change. Soo… I don’t know what’s going on.Hope they fix it in the near future, since there is no easy way from WEBROOT to update antivirus, not even force to update, not even in the console.. the only antivirus at any level (personal or enterprise edition) that I know for decades that doesn’t help you to update their product in any easy way. Go figure.
How do I delete old phones and add new ones?
When I wake my machine up, or it is has been running for some time, if I click on the WebRoot SecureAnywhere menu bar at the top, I see multiple scans running. It looks something like the image below, and all scans are updating, rather slowly however. The problem here is that WSA is now using a lot of the processing power and a large quantity of memory running all these scans. It is slowing other things badly. It seems to me that if a scan is in progress, then maybe you should not start a new one? Running MacOS 12.0 (21A344) on a MacBookPro 14-inc 2021 Apple M1 Max, 32 GB memoryIs there a way to stop this behavior other than constantly stopping scans in progress, which means they never finish, so I do not see the results. Thanks
When uninstalling WSA from a Mac computer, WSA leaves a lot behind. Could the uninstaller for Mac's be made to uninstall what is left behind? After uninstalling WSA on my Mac running High Sierra this is left behind:
I downloaded the webroot app on my Google Pixel 4a(5G) running Andoird 13 I go to create an account but it wants a keycode to create an account. How do I get a keycode before creating an account. Typically software works like this… Create account → Purchase Product → Get keycode → Enter keycode → Activate product. This app is asking me for what normally happens in step four but wants it in step one before I even have an account. Where do I get this keycode to create an account? There are no instructions in the app.
Is it possible to disable the training modules and only send out phishing simulations? I don’t want to annoy customers with a bunch of training when all they want is to test if their employees are clicking through phishing emails.
but will auto allow in 115 sec.How do I disable this??? If I am not in front of PC , I may have an “untrusted” connecting automatically to internet after 115se.
I have had a Webroot account for years, and I can no longer find my password. I have just purchased new computers and want to add them to my account and delete old computers. Plus, I suspect I may have multiple accounts linked to an old email address that we no longer use. How can I find out?
Hello everyone,My company is using Webroot SecureAnywhere for Business. We are trying to deploy an application that may require us to turn off webroot. Everything I’ve seen shows how to do so manually via the client’s GUI. This is too time consuming as we have dozens of endpoints. Is there a way to shutdown webroot via powershell (or any other automated way), install what I need, then turn it on again? I know the security implications of this and understand why this may not even be possible. But I just wanted to make sure.
Hi there! We’ve been testing Autopilot internally and really like it so far!The only complaint I’ve gotten so far is the training email looks a lot like a phish. Sketchy looking domain, long link of gobbblygook, unsolicited email asking to click something…This is basically the email we’re training our clients not to click. Is there any way to customize this email template? Or are there plans to make it look more official? We are pretty excited about Autopilot, but are hesitant to push the training piece as is. It’s sure to generate a lot of questions from our clients. Thanks!Matt
HelloI am setting up the course ‘Security Awareness Training’ for a company we provide IT support for. According to this guide https://answers.webroot.com/Webroot/ukp.aspx?pid=4&app=vw&vw=1&solutionid=2938 I need to add ‘Secops Mailbox’ in order for the training to work. It is my understanding that flagging a mailbox as ‘Secops’ just opens the mailbox up to any rules I then put into Phishing simulation. I just wanted to confirm this is the case and that there will be no adverse affects from flagging the mailbox as a ‘Secops’ mailbox. I am changing 30 or so mailboxes so wanted to double check before finalising the settings Thanks in advance :) H
I purchased one Dell laptop from Best Buy, which allows me to use Webroot AV for free for 6 months. Why I have no way to install the software in my laptop permanently? I can only be using the Webroot tool every time when I open the webpage and then it pop-outs. Next time I have to repeat the same procedure when I want it. Please let me know why and the way to solve this issue.Appreciate your kindly assistance.Best regards,Frank Song
I cannot open a support ticket. It asks me to log in, then it asks me for my personal security zone, then I get redirected to a blank page. The product is not working, and there’s no way to get help to fix it!!!
