Hello and thanks for looking at my question.. Scenario one, a user visits a site and is alerted by your software that is a risky site. The user chooses to ignore the warning and contiunes to view the site. in this scenario has the user told WSE to trust anything coming from this site? I ask this because I want to visit a site that is flagged, which i find hard to believe, but I don't want to openmyself up to virus. If I don't download anything from the site and just read the text, am i still safe?
No matter how many times I try, after SecureAnywhere restart, or system reboot, some settings I change are reset to default. In my case these settings are: - Scan Settings -> "Show the "Authenticating Files" popup... - Access Control -> Require the (..) CAPTCHA (...) critical (...) I did not change much, so I do not know how many more can be affected. But some of the setting stay permanent, for example reducing logging or resource usage. After changing setting I get warning about possible settings override from WebConsole. As I chose "User Configuration" for every registered PC, I do not understand this whole situation.
Been using Windows 8 for about 3 weeks now. Never had a problem logging in with my live (google) account. So yesterday I install WISC. I posted another issue earlier about options missing from the WISC firewall and later got a great explantion that the Windows firewall does just fine so therefore there are no options in WISC in Win 8 save for On or Off. Then why have it at all??? But that's another subject. Before I learned of this relevation, I rebooted my PC thinking the firewall options in WISC would maybe show up. I'll never know because now I CAN'T LOG IN TO MY COMPUTER!. Same pw as I've been using for 3 weeks yet now all of a sudden I get the "wrong password" message. Yet I can still log in w/that pw everywhere else. Even still, I reset my pw via MS live but I still can't log in to my computer. I did some Google searching and came across two posts: ________________________________

"Samsung NP300E5C-A07US
Intel Core i3-2370
Intel HD Graphics
Hi Guys Currently it is not possible to get the trial key for WSA Endpoint Protection in the Firefox browser. We are redirected to a different subpage and do not get any trial key. Customers are very unhappy with this (over50% are using Firefox) - what can I say to them / when it will be fixed? Regards
I was wondering if anyone else was using WSA with another AV. I know WSA has become much more robust than the Prevx days when it was marketed as an additional security layer to detect the threats that other AV's commonly missed. If you are using WSA with another AV then are you having any conflicts? I just installed WSA 126.96.36.199 with the final release of NOD 32 V7.0.302.0. I have not rebooted yet, but immediately I just had an issue with Firefox right after installing WSA. I clicked Firefox, and it never did run. I waited for about 30 seconds, and it never ran. I clicked it again, and it ran about 3 seconds after I clicked it a second time. I checked the task manager, and there was 2 instances of Firefox running.
Hello again, not here very often but I have some questions that I could not find answers to. 1.- If a program is monitored, it will not go back to "Allow" after some time, even when it is a known safe program? What got me worried a bit is that after a fresh install, WSA set explorer.exe (and lsm.exe) to monitor. Both 100% clean on virustotal. Is this a new default behavior or should I REALLY start worrying? 2.- When I allow a trusted program, it still gets blocked? In this case GSC.exe, I get a "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000018)" message. When I disable the realtime shield, it runs. I like very much how WSA protects you, even if you don't want it to haha! Seriously, I trust you guys know what is best, but where is the limit of user control. I know GSC has FP issues but is considered safe. So if a user allows a program, why not keep monitoring it instead of blocking it completely? cheers, Wammes
Just a heads up, my business email account suspiciously sent out numerous emails yesterday morning to clients with a Word doc attachment. The attachment contained the above mentioned trojan which also goes by: W97M.POWLOAD.NSFGAICR, or W97M.Downloader Specific details here: https://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/au/threat-encyclopedia/malware/trojan.w97m.powload.nsfgaicr Webroot did not catch this on my system during numerous system scans on multiple devices. I had to reinstall my OS for other reasons (the wonders of Bootcamp), so subsequent scans with Webroot, Trend Micro and Windows Defender are clean. But by then the damage was done. The source was Russia, and by then they had the email password and access to my account, which means they knew who I'd been recently communicating with. Malicious emails were sent to people I'd had recent
Hi, Has Webroot found a resolution to the problem of duplicate entries in the GSM console when agent systems upgrade to Windows 10? We're constantly having to deal with going into the GSM and look for and deactivate the older duplicate (the windows 7/8 system) when they are upgraded to 10 in order to prevent being billed extra for endpoint usage. Tsk Tsk... John
Hello, Just bought Webroot Secureanywhere Internet Security Plus 5 device license and have tried to mail support about deleting a console and some other questions I had about the software, but haven`t received any answer. So I thought there maybe was someone in here that could do it. What I want is to delete a console I used for testing and add the the new keycode to the password managment future because the trial keycode there will expire and I am not able to do it myself. Things like adding keycode to password managment, deleting users you have created, deleting a console etc. should be done by the user himself. You probably get a lot of email from users need help about this. Also have a couple of questions. 1: My Mac (IMac OS X Mountain Lion) never showed up in the PC Security ? 2: I installed under testing the wrs on two mobile phones (Android-Galaxy s3) and one computer Windows 7. 3: I created a user in my console which had access to the m
I think I only have Webroot Internet Security. I know it's not complete and probably not plus. Anyways I was having trouble with these pop ups. Amazon the worse. Very annoying, thats when I had to call someone to help me get my computer back to normal. When all was done I asked if this version had a pop up blocker. I was told no it did not. I was than told that is why I would enable blocker on chrome an IE. Well I knew that. But like I said before I was a Norton user and I also had it enable on Norton. My question is how does anyone feel about having Webroot blocker for ads on computer? Is it worth it, or are people just relying on chrome and IE to do their job?
Hello Friends, I have been noticing the last couple of weeks that during Scheduled scanning it has 2 scan windows at the same time I'm wondering if anyone is seeing this also? As I have unchecked Hide the scan progress window during scheduled scans. TH

Hi, I just finished up getting this to run well on my Windows 8 machine, now on my Macbook with Lion 10.7.5, The initial scan says it's scanning, but the Files scanned: Threats: Processes all stay at 0 and the Time elapsed just continues to climb. Also in my dashboard it says 3 PC's protected but the Macbook does not show up there. In the My Account section, under status it says Waiting for license even though I have input the license key successfully. The only way to exit the program is to kill it out of activity monitor. Clicking on the icon in the system try to kill it does not work. There is no context menu choice to scan items either. So it sounded like a broken install at that point, so removed it and tried to reinstall. That failed with the same behavior. Then I REINSTALLED LION and updated it to 10.7.5 and it still happens. I'm stumped. Help?
I have my scan schedule set to scan daily before noon when the computer is idle. I turn the computer on about 8AM everyday, and leave while I'm doing other things around the house. When I get on the computer around 11AM it still has not performed a scan. I usually 'wake' up the computer by moving the mouse. ( I just have the screen saver go blank after 10 minutes and the monitor turn off after 15 minutes of inactivity, but leave the HDD and System Standby running). It was performing the scan after I woke it up, but lately it doesn't and I run it manually. Does the monitor and screen saver turning off cause it not to perform the scheduled scan?
I have a Windows XP Pro machine with WRSA running (for a couple of years), and last night at 7:51pm AST a file named "Program" was created in the root directory (i.e., C:). As such, I received the Windows File Name Warning upon reboot that "There is a file or folder on your computer called "C:Program" which could cause certain applications to not fuction correctly. Renamintg it to "C:Program1" would solve this problem. Would you like to rename it now?" Properties of the file indicate that it is 743 KB with a description of "Webroot SecureAnywhere" and is digitally signed as "Webroot Inc." with a digital signature timestamp of "Jan 14, 2014 7:36:45 AM". A hexdump of the file shows at the top the standard "This program cannot be run in DOS mode" and at the bottom, there appears things like "Company Name - Webroot", etc. We have had WRSA installed for a couple of years and did not do anything special yesterday. Do you know what this file is, and why it is labled as Webroot?
I have a major annoying problem with webroot. Netflix doesn't use Silverlight in internet explorer 11 Instead it uses HTML5 Problem is that whenever I try to watch netflix I get sound but no video. I just get a black screen. I have done testing and realised it is webroot causing this. If I disable webroot netflix works fine. If I re-enable webroot then netflix stops working. I don't want to be having to disable my anti-virus just to watch netflix so anyone know how to fix this without disabling webroot?
Hello USA;) Last night, while I was working on my PC, the screen became black then blue or even reverse (sorry for this lack of precision but it was very late and I had drunk too much of French wine:D) and then my PC was rebooted automatically! Is it a virus ? That's the Windows error report:
