HiWorking for an MSP and I am noticing an emerging issue with the identity shield causing Chrome to hang or launch with a blank screen. The circumstances are: Windows 10 2004 January 2021 Windows 10 CU installed Webroot installed and up to date Nvidia graphics card (no specific model) Chrome installed and up to dateIf all of these are fulfilled except for the January CU, the problem does not occur. It also does not seem to occur on machines without Nvidia graphics. I have seen 10 instances of this since yesterday, and was able to replicate the issue on brand new machines. The workaround is to set the application protection for the chrome.exe to allow rather than protect.
I am told by support that with the latest version of the installer the Web Threat Shield will not go into a managed status anymore. The end user is able to turn it on and off at their leisure from the browser. But I do have other machines that was installed with an older installer where this is locked down. Anyone else having this issue?
Hi I have discussed this problem with your support techs before. Webroot freezes and won't scan.at one point I had to shut the computer down by entering the security code. Werbroot windows where otherwise frozen. Ive talked to your techs recently and I even had it at week squad in Orland Park Illinois. It was working win the returned it. however nothing else seems to be wrong with iMac. Is here anything that we could try? I keep on thinking this is a Webroot problem.
So my son has the PC version of Xbox Gamepass, and he recently downloaded the new game Back4Blood. Attempting to load it, though, results in a splash screen with easy-anti-cheat logo that completes the load -- and nothing else. Searching for this issue, many answers point back to Webroot as not allowing this to run. The “solution” is to uninstall Webroot. Is this a known issue, and if so, can we expect it to be patched soon, or is the “solution” to uninstall Webroot?
I have Poll Interval = 15 minutes. One customer turned off his computer (running Windows 10) for a while, so the status of the agent is Unseen… Now, he turned on, the agent was updated to 126.96.36.199, and it’s almost one hour already, the status of the agent is still Unseen from… Besides, I sent Re-Verify Data command, and the system said “Reverify the contents of the selected device's local database when the next scan takes place.” However, even I tried to run scan manually, the command log is still showing status: Not Yet Received.Any other setting that I can push the update between the agent and the management console quicker? Thanks.
I can’t login or reset password and have not received an email to reset the password. Webroot came with a laptop purchased at Best Buy. I tried to renew online and was billed 4 times. I have spoken with customer service and sales in an attempt to correct the problem. I purchased a new license from customer service and was sent an email that contained the download information. I have tried to download; I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software. I have tried to logon for customer service only to be repeatedly logged out. I’m more than frustrated. Prior to all of this I held on line for over 45 minutes for a support tech. I’m thinking it’s time to contact the Better Business Bureau.
Hello, Recently my Windows 10 OS was corrupted but repaired. However, the Webroot icon in my taskbar is now gone. I’ve checked the Webroot site and it seems that I’m still covered but I’m not sure if Webroot will notify me when they’re running a scan on my system ( I prefer to see these pop-ups as they are reassuring). How can I get the icon back and will Webroot continue its notifications?
Difficult to manage a dynamic workforce (new hires) and to see what courses each employee has completed
I find the SAT administration quite frustrating from an admin perspective. We want to ensure all of our employees have the same Cybersecurity training courses. Ideally we would like to add new employees to an existing Campaign, but instead we are forced to create a new campaign just for that new employee (target). And when all of our employees have completed 5 courses that is 5 new Campaigns for every new employee. It gets very messy. Additionally we would like to easily track all of the courses that each employee has completed. We are keeping a separate spreadsheet updated with this summary information. The available SAT reports do not give us this information readily. Have I got this all wrong, am I missing something? Thanks, Steve
Web page won't actually let me log into Open a Support Ticket. It asks for permission to create cookies, I giver permission, I paste in my password, and it goes back to the damned cookie window.OldCoderEdit: Removed personal email address. ~ PTD ~
Webroot finds this infection. I tell it to remove the threat, and it finds it again. It makes NO forward progress in actually removing this virus. Support appears to be closed, and I’m not yet finding this in the community forum.OldCoder
Good morning,Went to run a scan and Webroot now shows first scan not run with blue screen. tried to run scan it lasted 11 seconds then said scan not completed. I have restarted my MacBook Air and still get same issue. I tried to reactivate with key code to no avail. I have been using Webroot for a few years now and trying to contact support.

Hi,I need to exclude a directory under the user’s home directory on a drive containing all user home directories. The folder in question is a cache folder for an application, and the Real Time scanning slows it down terribly. For example: 'thisfolder’c:\home_folders\joe\thisfolderc:\home_folders\bill\thisfolderc:\home_folders\steve\thisfolder So I'm looking for a pattern maybe like: c:\home_folders\*\thisfolder How can I accomplish this
Good morningI am just looking to put together a training package for a client. (It’s our first time selling this product). I am bit overwhelmed by how many modules there are, I don’t want to bombard my client with 50+ training modules for each of his users. Please can someone recommend 5-6 ‘key’ modules that cover the basics?Thank you
I rarely “sign-in” to my.webrootanywhere.com, but attempted to do so today, after renewing my subscription. When entering my username/email and password, I am then asked to enter an “Authentication Code”. I cannot locate an “Authentication Code” anywhere. I have a “security code”, a “product keycode”, but I do not recall ever having an “Authentication Code”. As far as I recall, I never set up 2-factor-authentication (and if I did, I do not receive an email or text with a code after entering my username and password). Please advise as to how I might resolve this issue. Thank you.
2 days ago BF2042 updated and in the process updated East Anti Cheat (EAC) which is what SecureEverywhere is blocking. Everyone that is using this AV can no longer launch the game. The EXACT thing happened when they updated Back4Blood and updated EAC in the process. Webroot pushed a patch that fixed it. I have sent a support ticket to Webroot but have heard nothing. Oh, BYW, when you completely uninstall SecureAnywhere, the game runs fine.
Recently installed Webroot on new Windows 11 desktop, and also old Windows 7 desktop. Now I cannot scan from either PC. Printer works. I submitted a customer service inquiry and am awaiting a reply. My computer skills are not advance, so need help in simple language. I did check utility controls and everything is allowed. Will have to look for different anti-virus software if this isn’t soon fixed.
I recently made an email template for our Webroot security awareness training invitations. I saved the customized template with a new filename. However, I can’t find it listed in the email templates when I create a new campaign. Is there an option that allows us to see the customized email templates that I have saved? I can see custom templates in there from our tech support company, but not my templates.
It is impossible to connect to your server to register a new key code. It appears to be working intermittently since I can register some devices and not others. Even registering for this support account did not work at first. It seems everyone at Webroot decided to take an early holiday and left no one to mind your servers. This is clearly not a way to increase your subscriber base or generate goodwill in your user community. Many of us have been wasting precious hours or OUR TIME trying to figure out what is wrong and now it seems that the problem is your server.
