On a lark, I decided to try Webroot. And within 15 minutes have uninstalled it. When I could not excluding folders from scanning, I went to the Community Forum and was shocked by the lack of functionality, but more so: the reasoning that was provided. I have many, many files and folders that trigger various security warnings. It is an incredibly irritating and time-consuming endeavor having to pull from quarantine files that have been erroneously tagged as threats. It is such poor product development to offer the option in the business edition but in no other. Is the logic that this alone will warrant upselling? If so then this is perhaps the stupidest reasoning ever since excluding folders is found in virtually all antivirus applications.
After I renewed my subscriptiion I still get the nag screen when my computer starts telling me that I am not protected. I have entered the new key twice but the screen just keeps poping up. The program says I am protected and have 362 more days on my subscription. The nag renewal says that I am not protected. Anyone have any ideas? Any help is appreciated.
Chrome is being used and the extension for Webroot is on. The only indicator I have is when I click a site to open them the W in the corner turns to a check mark. When clicking on it then it says the site is safe. Do you know if this is a new change? thank you
I´m a relatively recent user of Webroot Internet Security Plus. During a lot of years i´ve used other suite. My primary notebook got a problem (is under repair) and now i´m using an old one, with a Celeron processor. So searching for a “light” security suite I saw good reviews of Webroot and I bought the software. It´s easy to use, no impact in notebook performance, it seems great with Windows 10… but… Now with all pandemic things and a lot of warnings to be careful using internet, i wondered if Webroot works really fine. Searching in google, i saw a lot of sites recommending a method to test if the antivirus is working, with a not harmful file from EICAR (Supposedly it’s a very common test). I accessed to the EICAR website and i´ve downloaded the files. No reaction from Webroot… With the files on my notebook, and scanning each one individually, also no reaction… i got worried… it was supposed to get a false positive. But Webroot do not detects the EICAR… just to be sure if i´ve done a
Comment: Interesting question why women are not attracted to IT professions??? ================================================================================================= By Lynne Y. WilliamsJuly 30, 2014 08:04 AM ET Computerworld - IT is a growing profession, and one that requires skills that women not only possess but oftentimes excel at. And yet women remain a distinct minority within the profession. Why is that, and how can it be changed? Computing should be an attractive field of study for anyone. Nonetheless, although recent Bureau of Labor Statistics findings show that computing-related jobs are growing at a rate almost double that of all other fields, fewer students are enrolling in computing majors. That trend led the BLS a few years ago to project that by 2018 approximately half of all jobs requiring extensive computing ex
I hate to ask this and please no responses telling me to get off these versions of Windows because they aren't supported by Microsoft. I already know that and I'm pushing for upgrades, but I don't control the budget. My question is, how much longer will Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 be supported. I asked last year on this post and was told April 2019. I had heard previously that might be extended and was wondering if that had been decided yet and if so, for how long? Our subscription is up in January and I wanted to get an idea at what we'd be looking at. Thanks for any help you can provide! Sincerely, Nic

Running Webroot Secure Anywhere 22.214.171.124: 108 on Mac OSX 10.8.4 If trying to alt-drag an object in Adobe Indesign CC (this action normally has the behavior of duplicating the dragged object after releasing the mousebutton) with Webroot running it just moves the object and ignores the modifier. When deactivating the Real Time Thread Shield - even while Indesign running - the behavior of the interaction works normally again... Please fix!
