My web filter add-on to filter safe websites has gone away and I don't know how to get it back. Please clarify why this has happened and how to reactivate it please. When I go to my Mozilla firefox browser add on page the Webroot Plugin is just gone. Sent a message to customer support with no response. Let’s get some movement here. Let’s go!
Webroot Secure AnyWhere ver. 188.8.131.52:1391 installed Web Filtering Package ver. 184.108.40.206 keeps cancelling my scans after I recently updated the program. I followed all the instructions when a window popped up saying to open system preferences, click full disk access in privacy tab an open up the application folder. I did all of the above multiple times to no avail. Anyone know how to fix this? I would be very grateful. Tried contacting webroot support several times but got no answer. I have a file C:ProgramDataWRDataPKGSafarNEW_webfilter.safariextz that webroot says is clean, but everytime I move it, I find a new file has been created in the original location (above), which makes me suspicious whether this is a legit file or not. Is there a way I can upload my file to you so you can have a 2nd look and check it out more closely on your end?? If so, how do I do that?
Is it possible for webroot tech supoort to close my current account and then I could create a new account with a new e mail address and transfer my current Secure Anywhere Complete key to the new account? Reason I kind of would like to do this is because on my account page the Backup and Password icons are orange and say "Your keycode has now expired. To continue accessing Backups please renew your keycode now, or your data may be lost." This has happen because I had tech support change my current key from an international key one to a local USA key one. I relize its only a cozmedic glitch but it kind of bothers me :( lol
I already have Webroot Secure Anywhere on my desktop PC.I downloaded Webroot SecureAnywhere Mobile Complete from the Amazon app store.I am trying to fill in the info to access/register my mobile app account.I tried using my login that I use on my PC(Webroot Secure Anywhere).Webroot didn't like the password that I use on my PC,so I tried a different one using the 6 letters-3 numbers guideline. Then it says my Secure anywhere complete Keycode is not good-I must be a SecureAnywhere Complete customer-which I have been for several months. I am totally confused.Does the phone app require a different login and password? Why is my Key code not working? It is the keycode from my PC account.
I have just received a Personalised Security Report on both my computers whose scan data bears absolutely no relation to reality. It says that my last scan was on 9 June. Not true! The last scan on my XP was on 10 June (yesterday) and on my Win 7 was today. It says that this supposed scan on 9 June happened at 04:01pm. Again not true! My daily scheduled scan on 9 June completed on my XP at 01:01pm and on my Win 7 at 08:23am. It says the scan took 09:08 minutes. Once again, false!! It took 2mins16secs on my XP and 5h23mins on my Win 7 (the inordinate amount of time taken being because this computer awoke momentarily at 03:00am for a scheduled task, at which time WSA decided to initiate the daily scan, then went back to sleep again, only to continue the scan when I brought the computer out of standby in the morning). Such a report can only be described as an anti-publicity for Webroot. It gives the impression that Webroot security firm is totally incompetent—which isn't tru
I had WSA AV for PC Gamers installed on my ASUS G750JX Laptop just 2 days ago where I have configured it and saved the configuration. All I changed in the settings was: - Disabled require Captcha - Enabled System Optimizer Scheduler That's it! Today I installed WSA AV for PC Gamers on my wife's laptop and imported the settings and here's what I got: http://tinypic.com/r/5whwgi/8 PS: Both of us have version v220.127.116.11 PS 2: How do you insert an image inline in the post?
The first time I tried Webroot, it made my system feel as if there was no AV and I loved it! so light. The latest 2 versions released caused my system to feel so sluggish. Especially when installing a program, it would take double the time to initialize the installation. Every install of WSA was on a clean Windows 7 or 8.1 installation. It's the same system that I'm running just been running through a big delimma finding the right drivers so I formatted a lot but now finally ASUS released the official drivers for my G750JX laptop so I know i'm good. But what's up with the lag? I have just formatted, installed Windows 8.1, and I am hesistant to install WSA again
Hi there! :D After sufficient time spent with WSA I've written my short review about the Internet Security Complete Edition. I tried to keep a full objectivity, I hope that these few words from me will be useful for users who stand at a crossroads and wonder about the choice of the best security software :D I will share this with you as soon as my review is accepted and published. Regards :D Mike
Hello, Been searching the forumes and through Web searches to no avail. My IE 11 has 4 extension components installed and one of them (See image) shows up under "Not available" with name "Webroot" and under details of add on publisher is unknown, filenames and dates unknown. I have disabled it and then as a test when re-enabling it looks to weant to enable my disabled extensions (I want toolbar and vault disabled). I am pretty sure this "Webroot" is a valid extension but I want to be sure. Also, maybe make the WR team aware so they can have the publsiher name etc. appearing so nobody else has the same questions or concerns as I. I got on Google Chrome earlier and I noticed the new Webroot extension that was added to the browser. Only problem is, I can't login because it states that the E-Mail is unknown which is impossible because I already registered and reset my password 2 times. Any ideas?
Hey all... having an issue where recently my Wife's laptop is not updating scan information (date/time/results) of recent scans on the web console (it is showing current activity on her laptop in the application). I tried to send a scan command from the console to her laptop to do the scan and that didn't work for some reason. Then I manually scanned her computer yesterday 5/18/13 after looking at the activity listed on the console which stated that the last scan occurred on 5/16/13. Even after running yesterday's scan (5/18/13) it did not log the updated results to the web console. Haven't changed any settings on her laptop or on the console. Her laptop on the console is set for "user configuration" along with mine. i thought it was b/c I needed to clear browser cache but I did that and went back several times today and the date, time and results have not changed since 5/16/13. Thanks....
I saw a few threats back to at least 2015 where a number of users requested disabling Personal Security Report notification. Webroot support seems to be fending off this request despite encouraging users to asking for the change. I'm more concerned about this blatant instrusion of privacy. Basically user scan file details are being reported back to Webroot for each scan. There is no way to disable this back channel. If this doesn't get corrrected, I won't continue to use it. Why does a user HAVE TO report to Webroot what files it scanned??
As title says, since the fall update if I have webroot active Outlook 2016 will not display external images. I just get the Outlook cannot display the external image placeholder. If I manually terminate webroot and restart outlook it works fine again. It must be protecting the Temporary Internet Files folder in INetCache as this is where the Outlook images are stored. Can someone confirm and if there is any temporary fix that would also be nice. Thanks
Was reconfiguring my PC this AM. To do this I needed to temporarily uninstall a number of programs, includung WSA + File Cleaner aka WSA for Gaming PCs :-) Didn't use the Windows uninstaller. Used some stooopid uninstaller on a utility that does a good job of removiing all traces.. Didn't get the Captcha uninstall screen but WSA disappeared from my Windows uninstall list--but it was still there on my machine and running, I deleted every filel I could find and tried a reinstall. WSA didn't reinstall, the GUI just opened up. Deleted all the files again and every registry entry. WSA successfully fully installed BUT is no where to be found on my Windows uninstall List or on the uninstall list of any utility. Can Webroot either tell me how to fix this or sell me a discounted lifetime license to WSA +Cleaner??? BTW was watching an old review on YouTube Review of an early version of late 2013 or early 2014 WSA Compllete where the "optimizer" was labeled as "The Cle
I am running a fantastic hardware firewall on my network. I do not lke to use redundant firewalls by having software firewalls on my computers as well. I noticed that if I turn the firewall off in WSA that the notification bar button will contanstly show the warning exclamation point because a security feature is turned off. Is there a way to prevent the icon from doing that while having the firewall turned off?
