I'm sorry. I just purchased a Kindle Fire 9th Generation and trying to get the FREE Webroot SecureAnywhere App. The problem is that it isn't listed in the app section after a search - only the $15 one is listed although I see "2 results" after the search under Apps & Games but just the $15 appears.. I read as many articles about this in the community and would please like some easy to follow guidance for a dummy like me. Thanks,
The password manager extension is not available chrome, so it is not installed. I tried to uninstall/install WSA, Toolbarfix and manually add lpchrome.crx. All attempts failed! Hello I've started using Chromium over Google's Chrome. All the extensions I use have installed without problem, with one exception. The Webroot Password Manager... I have tried the Webroot_Button_Fix.exe and the toolbarfix.exe in an attempt to install the extension in Chromium. Neither has installed the extension. This is most likey thrwarted by the fact that you do not "install" Chromium as you do a normal application. That is my opinion. Is there any other option to install the password manager extension for Chromium?
I just bought another year of protection, but I can't activate the firewall. I click the slider and nothing happens. Occasionally, it asks me to complete a captcha screen, but nothing I type activates the firewall. It seems like every time I extend my service, I had a weird problem like this.
Unable to access any of the above sites without being redirected to flash update, or it just sits there and hangs, status bar info regularly refreshing. Looking through the forums I see it could possibly be a pseudo Zombie Ad Scam. I'm not one for clicking on links but I do remember seeing ads on youtube in odd places, and it caught my attention, making me think YT was getting OTT on the advertising.... All other sites seem to be working. However I've done various scans (i.e. Eset, Malwarebytes) and now WSA, but its still there....I was kinda hoping this would be the 'super' fix.... but....so its hardly the lever I need to change from Eset. Any ideas peeps? Running:- XPPro64 Firefox 27.0.1 Eset Security Suite Tuneup Utilities Malwarebytes WSA trial
I've downloaded the Java 8 Update 66 directly from http://www.java.com/en/download/mac_download.jsp and uncheck the other option to install additional software. Webroot thinks it is a virus and puts most if not all of the files in threat status and I can't allow them. I am running OS X El Capitan 10.11.2. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.
As far as I can tell there have been 6 requests for a Linux version of Webroot SecureAnywhere posted in Ideas Exchange but there is no hint of anything being developed along these lines. Are we to take it that this is just not on the radar? There seems at the moment to be only one other product which offers realtime protection for (in my case) Ubuntu - ESET - and that requires some fiddling and contortions to get it working with the latest systemd which appeared in Ubuntu 15.04. I would rather be using the same AV product across all our household machines - Windows and Linux. Is any Linux development likely to happen - or does it look completely non-viable from a commercial perspective?
This is what i get when i try to fireup my computer. File: windowssystem32drivers WRkrn.sys which has something to do with webroot after doing some research I can not log into the computer to uninstall and reinstall as i have seen suggested how do i fix this and get my PC back up and running ? ?
All of a sudden I have to reinstall or 'allow Webroot program to make changes' to my computer after I restart my computer after receiving a red X notice in my Windows Action Center that stated both my Windows and Webroot antivirus protection were turned off. I have the Windows Firewall enabled but the Webroot Firewall doesn't shwo up in the Action Center Security section. When I pull up my WSA window, it shows that the Firewall is on so I don't quite know what the problem is, but I am concerned and wondered if anyone else had this problem? I have contacted Customer Support about it but i haven't heard back, so I was hoping someone might be able to tell me if this is something they have experienced?
Hi, I have installed the Free Webroot SecureAnywhere app on my Galaxy S6. All appears okay except when I go into 'Security' and then 'Secure Web Browsing' it states that there are "no problems detected" but it also says underneath that "This feature is unavailable at this time. Your device is not currently compatiblw with Webroot Secure Browsing". Is this because of my phone (S6) or my OS (Marshmallow) or is this just not a feature currently available? Many thanks. Neil
This file is reported as clean by my Kaspersky Antivirus, NOD32, Bitdefender It is flagged by my Norton AV and by my Webroot SecureAnywhere AV though so I put it on the ignore list Since the big sharks like Kaspersky don't detect it, I believe this is a false positive with no real harm? Kindly remove it as it is the only FP being detected on my system SHA256: 46067bcde7fb1006430f97c286d7ac8de915315291c6c542567ae73939f848c8 File name: adobe.acrobat.xi.pro.patch-MPT.exe Detection ratio: 26 / 50 Analysis date: 2014-01-30 16:25:15 UTC ( 1 hour, 49 minutes ago ) PE signature block Copyright© MPTPublisher MPT34MProduct ActivatorOriginal name ActivatorInternal name MPT34MFile version 1.0Description cr4cking th3 cod3 4 fun! That first item is a link to a site where your computer stars beeping claiming to be from MS warning of an intrusion on your PC with a number to call. You can’t close, all you can do is a Crl/Alt Del and kill it. WebRoot, why doesn’t this site have a red warning on it??? I bought a discontinued HP laptop that has 2012 Norton Internet security installed but not activated. I am going to install Webroot complete on this computer. My question is do I need to uninstall the Norton internet security since it has not been activated. I have heard that uninstalling Norton often will leave a few items in the registery which I don't want. I assume that since it hasn't been activited it wiil have no effect on my computer other than take up a little space on my hard drive which doesn't matter to me.
I just recently bought a 2 year license for WSA AV from the Major Geeks Store I just came to know that there is a gamer edition how can I upgrade it to the Gamer's edition without having to pay the full price all over again? I just want an upgrade
