Why am I receiving this alert, when the setting is disabled?
just a coupla things...people have no idea what back up means. it's not their fault. i submit if you ever tried using Micosoft's back-up for a system backup..fugetabout it. that leaves purchasing some software that is just as cryptic as Microsoft's. If you subscribe to a securtiy program online..you might have some "complimentary" backup software albeit so proprietary that should a catastrophic event occur, the software is virtually useless. most of the units now have all that stuff on a partition...but if you lose the drive...that partition is about as usefull as **bleep** on a bull. There is no sense, other than the commercial greed, for keeping people so destitute in backing up their systems with simple, easy to use, back up software, and it ought to be FREE. why can't some company be a big ole fan on the people who buy their product and offer a damned universal backup product? Lose your hard drive?> Got your dvd's, cd's that
I have had Secure Anywhere 22.1 since 07/2021 and my account is showing expired (STILL) I can not log into my account. I do not know if my protections are up to date because of EXPIRED status. After last Win 10 update to 21H2, I noticed a tiny widget?… ( 1/8” translucent spinning circle, 1/2” from left border, & 2 58” from screen bottom). Check your own desktop Closely , before you answer this!I only use Google Chrome, and haven’t visited any new websites. I did a negative Full scan. In the old Win7 days, CCleaner would remove Widgets..., but caused system problems…!Also in the Win7 days, I had An AV that put a Large spinning Widget on the desktop. I thought this may be a new WSA feature, or how do I get rid of This?BTW- I tried doing a Snip, but it didn’t show?
Today Firefox updated to 97.0 on my windows 10 machine. When I restarted my computer, nothing works in firefox anymore. I can load it once, but I can’t browse to any webpage or even pull up the settings or about Firefox menu. When I close it I cannot open Firefox again.I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. I eventually tried installing the 32-bit version and it worked. I reinstalled the 64-bit version and found that if I close out of Webroot completely it would work normally. It only works if I shut down webroot completely. If I turn off individual shields (or all the shields) it won’t work, but exiting webroot causes firefox to instantly start working again.Webroot gives no indication that it is blocking anything. Any ideas as to why this is happening and how I can fix it?
Able to connect on 5 devices on Sunday. On Monday - zero. Error message reads: WiFi Security can’t connect. Please check internet connection and try again. This would be the internet connection that I am currently sending this question on :-) Any ideas?
Would like to block selected programs from accessing the internet. I’ve seen versions of this explained but have not seen one that was up-to-date. I am running Windows 10 & 11 and have WRSA CC 22.1. Thanks in advanced
how can i confirm that a back up and a sync was successful ??
The purchase I made did not download correctly. Then I had technology support reinstall the program. Now, after hours of trying to get the program to work, I do not have the initial full protection intalled that I paid for. I tried again to call to have a technician to assist, because I am receiving continual error popups that my Windows Firewall and Webroot are both turned off. I look further and realized I did not even have an optimation tab in my utilites tab for Webroot. Still unprotected in that area, but very disappointed in the brand and service I have received.
All of a sudden the webroot extension has changed..so it seems every time I go to a website I get a red dot beside the extension icon..even on this site….what’s happening
Installs fine on my 12.2 machines but can't not get a new install to show up in console in 12.2.1. Seems to just go nowhere. Can’t open app, or anything. I have used the same script to do the install on 12.2 and 12.2.1. Anyone else having issues?
Is my phone covered as soon as the computer is activated
The following message is displayed when I access chrome://management: "This browser is managed by a company, school or other organization. Your administrator can change your browser setup remotely. Activity on this device may also be managed outside of chrome." Chrome is installed on my home computer whose administrator I am . What could I do to remove this management? I saw a lot of complaints of this type on the WEB, but no solution was provided. I have installed Weebroot Internet security plus on my system and it didn't alert me that something suspicious happens in my browser. Any suggestion to identify who manages my browser or how to remove this management is welcome. Thanks!!!

Yesterday (3/7/2022) I started to get C:\Program” warning messages on my personal computer. I see some replies in the Related topics. The replies are several years old. It’s difficult for me to determine if this is an issue that I should address and fix. Or just ignore. Can someone please help? Here is what I’m seeing on my personal computer: File Name Warning: There is a file or folder on your computer called “C:\Program” which could cause certain applications to not run correctly. Renaming it to “C:\Program1” would solve this problem. Would you like to rename it now? I clicked on the Rename button. After I click on the Rename button, I get the message “File Access Denied - You’ll need to provide administrator permission to rename this file”. I clicked on the Continue button After I click on the Continue button, I get the message “This action can’t be completed because the file is open in Webroot SecureAnywhere”. Clicking on the Try Again button doesn
I have not seen this posted anywhere, so this could be useful to anyone wanting to install Webroot Complete on their phone. I noticed that on the Google Play store Webroot Complete has not been updated in a while, but Webroot Free has been updated recently. That is good news as you can install Complete simply by installing the Free version. 1) Go to the Google Play store. 2) Search for and install Webroot Free. 3) Once it installs, it will prompt for a few extra steps. Follow these steps, and login to your Webroot account when asked. 4) Install the Secure Browser when it asks. You know will have a fully updated version of Webroot Complete. Backup and Sync is part of the main application now instead of a seperate app. If you use Webroot Password Manager, you can access the passwords through Secure Browser. Open the browser and click the Menu button (the three dots) in the upper right. Click Vault, and log in to your Webroot account. You can now access all of y
Hello, I need help whitelisting a specific file on a specific machine. We are running Webroot SecureAnywhere with a centrally managed console. I’ve tried following the instructions located in this thread:https://docs.webroot.com/us/en/business/wsab_endpointprotection_adminguide/Content/UsingOverrides/CreatingWhitelistOverrides.htm I’ve tried creating an override on the desktop without success, but even when I stick the file in the root of C: and create an override to the folder in that location it does not work. I’ll attach a couple screenshots for reference. I’ve also got an open ticket and am waiting on a response, but wanted to ask for any suggestions here?
Guessing they shouldn’t be running at same time - or should they? Am using Windows 10 on PC. Do I need to uninstall the 32 bit version from 2 years ago? If I uninstall the 32 bit version, will it mess up the 64 bit version because they are sharing files? How should I proceed here please? Thank you!
