Difficult to manage a dynamic workforce (new hires) and to see what courses each employee has completed
I find the SAT administration quite frustrating from an admin perspective. We want to ensure all of our employees have the same Cybersecurity training courses. Ideally we would like to add new employees to an existing Campaign, but instead we are forced to create a new campaign just for that new employee (target). And when all of our employees have completed 5 courses that is 5 new Campaigns for every new employee. It gets very messy. Additionally we would like to easily track all of the courses that each employee has completed. We are keeping a separate spreadsheet updated with this summary information. The available SAT reports do not give us this information readily. Have I got this all wrong, am I missing something? Thanks, Steve
I recently made an email template for our Webroot security awareness training invitations. I saved the customized template with a new filename. However, I can’t find it listed in the email templates when I create a new campaign.Is there an option that allows us to see the customized email templates that I have saved? I can see custom templates in there from our tech support company, but not my templates.
Good morningI am just looking to put together a training package for a client. (It’s our first time selling this product). I am bit overwhelmed by how many modules there are, I don’t want to bombard my client with 50+ training modules for each of his users.Please can someone recommend 5-6 ‘key’ modules that cover the basics?Thank you
Recently installed Webroot on new Windows 11 desktop, and also old Windows 7 desktop. Now I cannot scan from either PC. Printer works. I submitted a customer service inquiry and am awaiting a reply. My computer skills are not advance, so need help in simple language. I did check utility controls and everything is allowed. Will have to look for different anti-virus software if this isn’t soon fixed.
It is impossible to connect to your server to register a new key code. It appears to be working intermittently since I can register some devices and not others. Even registering for this support account did not work at first. It seems everyone at Webroot decided to take an early holiday and left no one to mind your servers. This is clearly not a way to increase your subscriber base or generate goodwill in your user community. Many of us have been wasting precious hours or OUR TIME trying to figure out what is wrong and now it seems that the problem is your server.
Recently started using Webroot WiFi Security VPN on my iMac. When i initiate VPN, whether US East or West, i get an “Authentication Failed” message. I have to switch between East and West until one of the two servers responds. Is this typical for Mac users. I’m also running it on my iPhone XR and the application allows me to choose “Auto Reconnect” and it works every time. Thanks to any who can enlighten me about the iMac issue.
^ Title says it all.I have been using NBMiner for a little bit now.And its worked fine.However, around the same time I had a remote session to fix Battlefield 2042’s issues (Which by the way didn’t work, *Read below for that*) Webroot seemed to just ignore NBMiner’s whitelist and just close it anyway.I’ve whitelisted NBMiner.exe, CMD.exe, Eth.bat, etc. etc.Despite this, NBMiner still gets shutdown repeatedly, this is the same for TRex Miner as well.Is there any way to just say to the AV: “NO, NBMiner GOOD! NO DELETE PLS!”Because I can’t find a way… =Below this is about battlefield 2042=(*Read below from before*)Battlefield didn’t launch after the fix session, so after that I reinstalled it and it still didn’t work. I was told to call back, but the offices are now closed for the holidays. (I’m probably just going to wait on a new Webroot patch or EAC patch. (It would be nice to get some info on when that comes out))
I was contacted by a “Webroot representative “ telling me I owed $1,499 a year for the past three years after signing up for service in 2018.I was unaware of this obviously and told them i wanted to cancel the service. They said they would shut down my computer for 60 days if I did not pay. I still did not pay and a week later my laptop was shut down completely. i bought the laptop through Best Buy/Geek Squad and need assistance restoring my computer. Please assist in any way you can. I replaced my hard drive a while back because my old one was dying. I wasn’t able to uninstall Webroot when I still had access and coming back now I don’t think it can boot up into windows at all. Is there at all a way to strike that instance off and recover my key to use elsewhere?.
We’re having a problem installing some software and the dimwit at the help desk wants us to interrogate the Windows Ransomware app though she knows we have Webroot. We’re being denied access with something along the lines of “Your IT department has blocked access to this app...” which is silly because there is no IT department here and both of us have administrator privileges for this computer. I was wondering if this is really Webroot taking charge of security. The Webroot report shows no suspicious activity in the past two years. Is there any value to pursuing this problem further or can we rely on Webroot’s report wrt “ransomware”?
Pretty stupid question since it says subscription is “active” on my panel, but I’m still kind of paranoid, getting somewhat mixed answers online, and I can’t seem to find the same question on this site. And I literally just made an account to post this question. But anyway, does it automatically renew? It says “active” near where it says subscription and I want to make sure.
This is on WSA-Complete, iMac 2017, OS Monterey 12.1. A WSA tech installed WSDaemon (the name itself makes me nervous) when I had a problem when using OS 11(.5, I think). (The problem was: on startup, “out of the blue” - after a long time with no issues - WSA surprisingly needed my Key, once given it it could not begin a Complete Scan.) The tech needed complete access to my computer on-line (a requirement itself that makes me very very nervous); he installed this “demon app” with Full Access, and it did solve the problem at the time.After a few days, I was troubled enough with this app that I stopped its Full Disk Access to see what would happen. Stopping it made no difference: WSA scanned fully without “Full Disk Access” - no problems, for several weeks, still with OS 11(.5, I think).Then, this Need-for-Key--Key accepted, followed by Failure-to-begin-FullScan issue returned. I decided to try an update to OS 12 to see if WSA could run by itself (without Full Disk Access for WSDaem
My website got hacked about 10 days ago. I thought it had been totally fixed (restored from backups), but apparently there were remnants of the infection that were on the backup. So, Webroot (and one other) detection was triggered when I used the VirusTotal website. Now, the infection has been completely removed, but despite doing a fresh scan on VirusTotal, Webroot is still showing the site as being malicious. When we send out emails to our staff from Webroot, the emails may contain a link to a training course. Is there any way to make those ugly long links to awareness training courses, less ugly and long? All the best practices tell users to hover over a link before clicking it to see where the link goes. All of our SAT course materials have long hyperlinks that could easily be mistaken for a phishing attempt. I am not sure what the best solution is on your end. For now we just have to tell our staff to ignore all those safety training courses that tell you not to click weird looking links, and trust that this one link is actually a good link. I hate this approach, as it undercuts everything we have been trying to teach these people!
As I begin setting up my email templates for security awareness training, I would like to include both the webroots logo and our company logo. Is there a good place to pull webroots logos from to put in these emails? Do I have to host the images myself, or can I just link to the place that webroot hosts their image? I would like to use a webroot logo that also has “Security Awareness Training” in the image.What approach do you all take to make your invite emails from Webroots look less like the types of emails we are asking our employees to ignore?
My dad has Webroot on his PC, but he decided he no longer wanted it. He uninstalled it, but continued to get popups about the software.He has also tried:Removing the software from his registry files based on instructions from a forum post Removing other traces of the software manually from his computer Getting help from Geeksquad who tried helping for 3+ hours to no avail This morning, not only is Webroot not yet gone, it ran a scan on his computer.Could someone point me to a thorough uninstallation guide to remove every trace of the program? Or is there an easier way to do it in one shot?
I cannot log in to Webroot. I have had this problem for years now. I have tried changing my security code, my password and everything else I can think of, but Webroot still says my info is incorrect. What is wrong with thieir system that they cannot update my changes to be effective the next time I use them. It makes me so cross that they are so inefficient. As for trying to use LastPass password manager, that is another disaster. Can anybody suggest how to get Webroot to accept my new Security code and password, before I put my fist through my computer screen.Thanks, any ideas will be welcome.
