Webroot does not install on Mac after selecting Language, says internet problem when there isn't any
Installing webroot does not work after selecting language. On the next screen, an error pops up saying “An error occurred while trying to download the necessary files for this installation. Please double check your internet connection and try again”There isn’t any internet connection problem and I get this when I’m actually posting this topic successfully to webroot community! Why is this failing right at the beginning trying to download its required files after selecting language when there is really no internet connection issue at all ? This must be something else. Very frustrated that it fails right at the outset.
Scan taking nearly 24hrs still not completed
HiI am scanning a usb external drive that is 2T in size. Not only is webroot using all system resources so I cannot do anything much in windows generally, but its also only scanned ¾ of the drive and has been going for 18 hours. There is no way to pause the scan while I do other stuff. Is webroot not designed to handle large drives
Unable to "Trust" self-signed localhost development certificates
I’ve battling most of this week to understand why I cannot generate a trusted self-signed development certificate for use on localhost. By accident I stumbled on the fact that Webroot blocks this from happening; with no warning. Disabling Webroot allows the the process to produce a trusted certificate. Short of just disabling Webroot during development work, which would then render the subscription virtually pointless, is there a way around this? I can’t find anything obvious in the settings to allow this process to continue/complete.
Mac SecureAnywhere Optimizer
Online info shows a progress bar when Optimizer is running. I never get anything past a spinning gear, and if that finally stops after hours and sometimes days it still shows Unoptimzed. Optimizer has never worked since I started with Webroot months ago. Verify Disk doesn’t work either and is perpetually at Unverified. Have done multiple uninstalls (with complete removal through finder after Webroot’s uninstall)Version 188.8.131.52:1595 on MacBook Pro 2019 16”, 32 GB, 2667 MHz Have done multiple uninstalls with complete removal via finder of other components that Webroot’s uninstall leaves intact.Anyone know what’s up with this? ×
Any MSPs using the FCS (Foreign Code Shield)?
Looking for evidence/story/anecdote where this feature successfully blocked something malicious. The feature looks intriguing, but we’ve had enough webroot problems with their basic features and I’m hesitant to introduce what looks like a beta still without a known upside.
how to block a website that continuously sends a message including pornography.
I have secure anywhere webroot installed on my phone. At Webroot Installation Standstill).
Hello community. I have an hp envy pavilion laptop. Windows Eight. Laptop is 10 years old but ideal condition. Upon trying to install webroot after the download a pop up reads that it won't install due to probable malware and would I like to try installing with a random file name? I click 'ok' (after having already entered the key code to get to that point)., then it asks for the keycode again. I click on ok and the entire screen goes to webroot at the control panel. I don't know what to do from there. Many thanks for any help.
Status active. Subscription status expired.
I renewed my Webroot Secure Anywhere account three months ago on a laptop that I have had for several years and continue to use. That subscription allows up to three devices. I have a second laptop that was recently purchased. The antivirus software that came with it for a trial period has expired. When I added the keycode from the renewed subscription from that was renewed 3 months ago, it shows my status as active but the subscription is expired. How do I ensure that my machine is safe? How can I check to see what, if any other devices, are on that same subscription? It looks like in the management console you can “add a PC” but when I click on the “+” button, it wants me to buy or upgrade.Thank you.
