The topic still comes up from time to time, and while it's not likely to happen, we don't necessarily want to quash the discussion on it if it turns out it's something people still want.https://community.webroot.com/t5/Ideas-Exchange/WSA-all-versions-Exclusion-of-specific-files-folders-from-scans/idi-p/3300 When you think you've finally found AV that has a normal price and works well, google finds quote above... Sorry guys, as a developer I can not have AV that does not let me exclude folders from being scanned. It's so annoying when WSA deletes every single .exe file generated by compilers. And in a world where time matters I can't afford wasting my valuable time for excluding .exe files from being scanned every time I compile a code.

Hello, I have tried today to install a new Zip / Archive software, replacing my old Win Rar. Both (official) Winzip and WinRar have been blocked by WSA during install, for a specific malware element. So I installed none. Oh, yeah, WSA turned red, quarantined the element (downloaded from developper site), and worked quite well and fast at it. But I'm still without Zip program ;) What Zip / Archive soft is considered by WSA as valid and safe ... (without having to edit the Zip prog in regedit) ?? Thanks for your advices !
I have the password management feature that works for Fire Fox but I want to switch browsers to internet explorer. How can I get the icon installed up in the right hand corner of internet explorer to access all of the sites in my password manager? Thanks for your help. CMC
Because of the Firefox 40 update I want to use Revo Uninstaller to remore Webroot and all accosiated files from my PC as I try and get back to a happy place..I do not want to lose the file that contains the websites and their passwords. I want it available when I reinstall webroot.
I read in the forums that "Web Shield" has been replaced by "Webroot Filtering Extension" but my installation refers to "Web Shield" and "SecureAnywhere Shields" when talking about what I would like help with; again. Two questions were asked of support. If a link can be provided that answers my question please provide it rather than wasting your time. However, generic responses will not help.

How can I tell what the “malicious links and/or payloads” are?
Is the following domain actually dangerous or is it a false report? I’m guessing if their website is malicious then their product (which is downloaded and installed) is even more dangerous.
The answer to both was "We do not have access to the information on what is wrong with the website, however if we are giving it a low score and warning you about the website that means something is wrong with the site like it may have adware, ads, pop-ups, *or* may contain a malicious link which c
Hi! I have had Webroot for a few years new. I recently purchased a new SecureAnywhere Complete from Best Buy because my subscription was due to expire. I have activated the new keycode and my email shows I have 'Access' to passwords along with the new keycode when I look at my account online, however when I log into the webroot toolbar, I get an error 'Unkown email address'. I have tried the toolbar fix as well as uninstalling & reinstalling webroot using the new CD it came with from my recent Best Buy purchase. I have also noticed that within the last year, my PC has slowed down considerably, particularly when web browsing. It has gradually gotten worse within the last few months. Web pages sometimes take rather long to open or sometimes I experience the windows freezing up. My PC recently crashed last week. Is this something Webroot support can fix? I know the Password Manager issue is something Webroot support can likely fix, but what about the slow browsing issues? Is
Hi, This is the second time Webroot wouldn't let me use Explorer 11. I uninstalled Webroot last week and used the built - in Windows Defender and Hitman Pro and both caught the problem. Webroot didn't. It did the same today and when I uninstalled Webroot it was ok again :8 Don't know what happened, I had just a few months left on my Webroot.....
Hi Everyone, I have recently purchased Webroot Complete, and everything is going fine except the toolbar is missing. I have tried to research this, and I tried to reinstall the toolbar. But it just said it was already installed. I am using Firefox. Is there anything else I should try? I read somewhere about a "clean install." Does this mean I have to uninstall the entire thing and start again? Also, when I confirmed my email for this forum, it said something funny in the confirmation email. There was a scarlet bar, and it said, "Be careful! This sender failed our fraud detection checks." Does anyone know what this refers to? Thank you, P.
I just bought a new PC and the salesman was speaking very highly of Webroot. So, I thought I'd give it a try. Setting up my PC I tried to install the latest Firefox browser that Webroot deleted without any warning more than once. Oh, well... so I use my Macbook that already has Firefox running for some time without any problems whatsoever. Leave it to Webroot. My Macbook froze as I use Firefox so bad, nothing works. Can't even close Firefox even trying to force close it doesn't work. Great! I am waiting for the next surprise. Oh, yeah I also try to use password manager and I get a message that the password I use to log in doesn't exist. Great product. Where do I give it a one star?
Hi , My webroot mistake blocked some sites . OS : win 7 sp 1 32bit with latest update Browser : firefox 36.0.1 Webroot Filtering Extention Version : 18.104.22.168 I have same this problem old time but on new version again have this problem . Thank you . Best Regards , Amir
My friend had purchased Webroot for her PC, the package said it was good for three computers. I installed it on my PC and immeaditly Webroot was about to expire. I had Webroot on an older system that had expired. I might have used the same login information for this new Webroot install, maybe that's the issue. Also I can't see where to clean up Temp internet files, looks like Webroot changed it's interface since I last used it. Thanks for help, Windows 7.
HI :-) I just ordered a Download Version of Secure Anywhere for PC Gamers. The download is named correctly BUT the program it downloads is Secure Anywhere A/V., which is a different and currently less expensive product I have spoken to their Cust Service who was very helpful. They are issuing me a refund. The Customer Service Rep said it might take a few days to fix. Just a heads up.
Yesterday I installed WSA and am very pleased with it so far. About an hour ago I opened Shadow Defender as I wanted to try out a new version of WinRar and I always try new software in SD first. When I exited SD and had a look at WSA, I was surprised to see that changes that I had made to some of my setting earlier in the day had been rolled back to how it was last night. I also noticed that on the 'front page' the scan that was performed at 9.30 this morming is not there as it says last scan 20 hours ago and the number of scans has been reduced from seven to six. The seventh scan does show up in the log file though and I have saved a copy of it.
