I just performed a scan today and I got several messages - In Hardware it says Graphics RAM is Low and Impacting Performance how do you fix it is, indeed, LOW; Software - says an Active Process has a Possible Leak in Chrome.exe, how can this be fixed? And Temp Files found 1087mb Windows/IE only, I can delete these, correct?
Yesterday, both of my Android phones had foainting/transparent/Webroot banner / pop -up. I thought it was a Webroot Update Reminder. This led to a message that said “Product Tampering,,Security Risk, Download from Google Play Store. But is no Update for phones on Play. IHas someone hacked my phones or is this some sort of idiot spam from an idiotic Bad Actor ? I have received mocking messages from BAs in the past that were nothing once I talked about the FBI 's ic3.gov site and here is your Proxy Address, here is what domain it is maintained in and here is what Nation you come from, here are your GPS coordinates, etc. I have opened a Support Ticket with WB. How do I get rid of this floating icon if everything is okay ? I am VERY security Cautious! Finally, what is everyone's opinion on WB's VPN ? I do not use a router or modem to get WI-FI and I may try to use a third party route to get Ethernet.Thank you ...
Sent a support ticket 9 days ago...no response. After a long wait on hold today I finally got through to someone that verified what I suspected. There is a BUG they are working on specifically with Android Version 12 UI Version 4.1. There is no information on when this BUG will be fixed. I hope this post will help or save you some time if you are encountering the same issues.
Webroot Secure Anywhere was working on my Samsung android until this morning. I received a message saying “information has not been verified yet”. When I clicked on it, the message said “can’t open this page”. After trying to restore my phone and uninstalling/reinstalling Webroot, the problem still exists - basically I cannot sign on/activate it on my phone. I also checked Webroot on my laptop and it works fine. Any help would be appreciated.
Is it possible to whitelist network folders to exclude files opened from those locations from scanning? It seems fairly straightforward in terms of implementation. But, I’m just fishing for any gotchas I may not be considering. Essentially, we have some engineers complaining about WRSA.exe slowing down Solidworks when they’re opening large files that live in a network share mounted with a drive letter.
Hi folks - Could I ask, the Secure Anywhere application / subscription of course has a built-in firewall. I am running Windows 11 which has its own Windows defender also with a firewall. Currently I have both enabled but is this necessary and could it cause performance degradation in respect of internet speed or possible conflicts?? Is it better to have one or the other live rather than both running at the same time.To date I don't believe I have had any conflicts, but my system does sometimes have issues with internet connectivity which could be due to having x2 firewalls running at once.Thank you - Ben
Hello Gentlemen Webroot Antivirus TeamMy wordpress site at the domain: https://www.zapespiao.com.br/ was outdated that ended up being invaded by Hacker, being inserted thousands of Japanese keywords. Not enough, my site was classified by antiviruses as a distributor of Phishing, and harmful software downloads.Deletes all contents of the currently empty “Folders and Files” domain. a new website will be created, following the new internet security rules and guidelines.I would like to request the kindness of the “Webroot Antivirus Team” to re-evaluate my domain and remove the notice in internet browsers.Google Safe Browsing Audit: https://transparencyreport.google.com/safe-browsing/search?url=https:%2F%2Fwww.grupociende.com.br%2FSucuri site check audit: https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/https/www.grupociende.com.brTotal Check Virus Audit: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url/c0a9986c4d324055ff5f0df58cb9beed4897b0a1880a4dcc5f8038ab99f93e24Yours sincerelyMarcos Almeida
Hi !, Thanks for encouragement on my “Floating Webroot Icon” problem with my phones. WB Support told me how to fix that.I have W-Fi, IvP4 and IvP6 bands in my home WITHOUT using a router or modem. I plan to get an Ethernet switcher and/or a router (which I may hack) to get Ethernet on my Win 10 laptop and apparently, with the right adapters, use Ethernet on my 2 Android phones at home.Do switchers/routers require an Old School working telephone outlet to work ? HDMI inputs ?Also, my ISP/Cable TV Provider with two Streaming Services provided me with a combination cable TV box/DVR /HMDI outputs/analog outputs and a co-axial cable output. Would my Internet/email/text/phone calls be MORE secure with Webroot VPN ? I CANNOT stand another spam/scam/evil attachments/evil links/Bad Actors ! The good thing about NOT using my ISP modem is that I NO LONGER GET IP Reputation Attacks…… Any options on other WB products such as Carbonite ? Useless or Waste of Cash ? My ISP/CTP CLAIMS that they wi
When will Mobile and Chromebook devices be displayed in the My Account Portal? I am accessing my account via the New Carbonite Webroot portal page. I am on the Security Summary and I should have 5 devices. Only 2 PC’s show up. Nothing for the phones or chromebook. How I am supposed to know how many keycodes I have left and where they were distributed? Also, if I had to deactivate one of these devices (because I have a two year subscription) there’s no way to do that either. The older portal had many features you could run directly from it. They were under the COMMANDS section. There was SCAN, System Optimizer, Restart PC, DEACTIVATE, Cleanup, Lock PC, Shutdown PC. It also required the security code one created when logging in.But the new Carbonite portal is missing these features. They added security questions but not the security code. And there are no Commands like I listed above. The whole thing is very confusing from a consumer point of view.
I renewed Webroot from an Amazon purchase and when I go to my account from within Webroot, I go to a place called Carbonite-Webroot and they don’t have all my information on second computer. Have I been hacked, just a few minutes before that when I went to my account from within Webroot, it shows 7 days left on my two computers. Then I put in new keycode and end up going to Carbonite-Webroot and have to create a whole new logon. And it says my second computer has expired and it had 7 more days. Haven’t started it yet to enter new keycode. I don’t know what this Carbonite is? I see I can’t type suppose to be What happen to my account and it won’t let me change it.
I am getting this MsiInstaller error code 1013 every 15 minutes on both Windows 10 computers. It happened soon after updating Webroot with new key code. Have done this in years past and no problems. Can’t seem to get any support from Webroot when I click on “Help and Support” nothing happens. So to test my theory Webroot was the problem, I got both laptop and desktop (both Windows 10 with current updates) and was watching via computer management screen the error mention above happen every 15 minutes on both computers. On laptop I removed Webroot and started using Microsoft default virus software. No more errors have occurred on laptop for last 2 ½ hours. Still getting errors on desktop. Also, noticed something I don’t remember seeing before and that is a little padlock on the Webroot tray icon. Maybe it’s always been there ? I did set Webroot not to auto update, that hasn’t made any difference. More of the error code info is below: Product: Core -- Unable to install
I have been running quarterly phishing simulations to keep our users on their toes. I noticed that a handful of users are flagged as deferred in the Campaign Phishing Line Data. Do you often have deferred emails to your users? Do you care about them? Should we do anything about this? Thanks!
I'll attempt to be as clear as possible. I have been using Webroot IS for almost a year. I have 60 days left on my subscription. This subscription was for a 5-user license. However, I've only used 2 or 3 (if my tablet counts as one) of those licenses. In addition, back in December 2013, I also purchased a 5 user license of WSA Complete. (It was a great deal on New Egg that I couldn't pass up.) My son used one of those licenses for about a month and then switched back to another AV. I have not used any of the other licenses. So, my question is 1) do I still have unused IS licenses that I can use to extend my 60 days; and 2) do I still have Complete licenses that I can use to add-on or extend my 60 days? Thank you.
Everytime I go on Google Chrome, Mcaffee and Norton bombard me with at least 20 virus warnings that my computer is infected. I must carefully close each screen by selecting the x in the middle of the screen on the right side. I had my Geek Squad people remove the problem a week ago but it has returned. It has obviously embedded itself into my PC.
Hello, So i've never had this problem before. It has just recently started. It has happened a few times. Everytime i perform a manual shutdown on Webroot it stops. A few seconds later it just auto activates itself and comes online again. I've tried going into task manager and stop Webroot processes after i've performed a manual shutdown, it didn't solve the issue. Any help would be great. Thanks
