The Windows 10 Action Center is constantly giving me a notification to check my antivirus software. The message states that both Webroot and Windows Defender are turned off. When I check Security and Maintenance in the Control Panel, it says that Webroot Secure Anywhere virus protection and spyware protection is turned on. I just recently started receiving this notification after months of running the computer with the upgrade to Windows 10. I do have Windows Defender turned off, because my prefernce is to run Webroot. I have run several "deep" scans with my Webroot app with zero threats found. Any suggestions?

I found the Filtering Extension add-on in Chrome tonight -- I enabled that and the Password Manager. Now, when I Google for a website, the link appears then in seconds turns to something like this: nullWebroot URL Classification Category: Uncategorized Confidence: 0 Scand I can't click on the link. For now I'm going to disable the add-on but any info is appreciated!
Hello, I've been trying for hours to uninstall an expired trial of SecureAnywhere that keeps annoyingly prompting me to register. Every time I drag to the Trash or try a tool like AppZapper, it says I can't uninstall because SecureAnywhere is running. So then I go to Activity Monitor to kill the process. That seems to work for a moment, but then SecureAnywhere is running again. Please help. Thanks, Jack
As from today, Google Chrome will not display any web-pages on my Vista 32 PC, unless I turn Webroot completely off, when it miraculously works perfectly again. It was fine before but something has changed overnight (UK time) and the fault started on start-up this morning. Chrome works fine on other machines which do not have Webroot. Other posts on the Google Chrome Forum confirm I am not the only one. Does anyone have an answer please, apart from the obvious ones of looking elsewhere for my virus protection or using another browser ? Caravelle
Today, all of sudden - I haven't added a program or been an unsual website or any other strange behavior - Chrome has slowed down terribly. It takes minutes to get anywhere at all. Going to my router - 192.168.1.1 - takes a minute or more. What is stalling the browser - and frustrating me - is the "Waiting for Extension Webroot Filtering Extension". The only way I could use my browser is by disabling the extension in the browser. This question has been posted and various answers/solutions have been offered. None seems convincing and nothing solves my problem. The last solution offered was in October. has Webroot fixed this issue? Thank you.
I have a peculiar issue. I purchased Webroot SecureAnywhere for three devices. I have it installed on two different laptops I own, but the web threat shield seems to only work on my older, non-preferred laptop. The Web Threat shield seems to be enabled on both PCs. Details follow. Older PC SecureAnywhere v184.108.40.206 Firefox version 35.0.1 Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, 64 bit Web Threat Shield seems to work - search results show a dark green circle with a check mark, light green circle with a checkmark, yellow circle with a dash or orange circle with an exclamation point. New PC SecureAnywhere v220.127.116.11 Firefox version 35.0.1 Windows 8.1, 64 bit Web Threat Shield doesn't show me any of the icons for search results. Most concerning is that I initially was blocked from visiting a page from a weather forecaster I follow on Facebook. It shows as an orangle circle with an exclamation point. Webroot listed it as a suspic
No support for Windows 10 and yes, I know they do not support new OS until they are released to the public. Apps for W10 are supposed to be compatible if they are compatible with earlier versions Windows... Even at this early stage. WRSC was compatible with Windows 10 9860 but not 9879... Hum, wonder what changed.
Chrome, on our our home computer, has been subverted by a browser hijacker that allways directs it to secure.conduit. It is quite annoying that the browser immediately goes to bing. It cannot be removed using the Chrome search engine option though I did delete some browsers I didn't want. Does/Could SecureAnywhere deal with this and if so how?
I recently changed my password on the secureanywhere web interface and it works fine, but when I want to go into Password tab on the webroot site it shows " try again later or wait 5 minutes". Image of popup i.imgur.com/47ZbbX6.jpg The other problem I'm having is the webroot password manage app for firefox wants me to use the old password to log on not the new password. I have closed firefox cleared cache and cookies restarted the pc and still having the problem. Thank you P.S. This was post to support and they wrote back on how to change my primary email.

Hi..............I just installed WSA 2014 and so far I am not impressed. Please fix my problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 2x. There is no webshield/filter running or installed in either IE 11 or Chrome. I am using Win 7 Home Premium 64bit. There is also an ongoing thread at Wilders. I do not even have the crx file listed by Triple Helix. So what gives? IThe eicar test does not even get blocked. Thanks. All of a sudden, within either Google Chrome or Firefox, I cannot log on to the Webroot Password manager (Icon within the browser) and thus passwords for all my sites cannot be seen. On each attempt I get the message "invalid password". The email account is not problematic. What makes this frustrating is that the very same email and password gets me into the Webroot console (website) without any problem at all. It just seems that the password manager within a webpage does not seem to be communicating with the webroot site to give me valid access. I have uninstalled Webroot Secure Anywhere as well as Google Chrome and reinstalled fresh copies to no avail. Any hints as to what is happening? I have not changed any settings at all so it is one big mystery. thanks!
Kit I have an issue with a couple of users who have Webroot Secure Anywhere Complete installed. I have been using your products for over 5 years now and recommend them to anyone and everyone, however the exclusion issue may be going to cause me a problem today! These users are using a database application and intermittently they lose the Copy/Paste functionality in this application and indeed on the whole PC, one is Windows 7 the other Windows XP. The database support department have been approached and we were advised to turn off Webroot and see what happened. Turns out that turning Webroot off alleviates the Copy/Paste functionality not working, so it looks as if Webroot is the root cause. I will say that my investigations have uncovered plenty of noise on the Internet of users with similar issues where other applications and functionality have been highlighted as possible causes ie RDPclient.exe etc. Anyway, the DB vendor has advised th
A friend told me I should change from Google Chrome to FoxFire for my browser. I haven't had any problems with Chrome. He said ForxFire is much more secure. Since I'm not computer savvy I don't want to change without some confirmation he's correct. Hope someone can give me some input. Thanks
Webroot recently started showing me a popup at start up of Windows 10 containing the words: “Sign up for MyAccount.” I am already signed up! Yet this braindead program keeps showing me the popup. I am getting tired of clicking the little X. There should be some built-in interaction between the popup and the fact that I am already “signed up.” I have tried just about every suggestion on the internet. Apparently Webroot has gone out of their way to circumvent the normal Windows popup override system. HELP!
