I have an endpoint that is not functioning. It will not speak to the portal but locked in central management mode. I need to remove it to reinstall it but it will not allow me, saying I have to contact the admin, I am the admin :) I cannot get the console to speak to the endpoint though. Is there an uninstaller? Thanks.
The following message is displayed when I access chrome://management: "This browser is managed by a company, school or other organization. Your administrator can change your browser setup remotely. Activity on this device may also be managed outside of chrome." Chrome is installed on my home computer whose administrator I am . What could I do to remove this management? I saw a lot of complaints of this type on the WEB, but no solution was provided. I have installed Weebroot Internet security plus on my system and it didn't alert me that something suspicious happens in my browser. Any suggestion to identify who manages my browser or how to remove this management is welcome. Thanks!!!
First off, after 4 months of using Webroot I will only be using it from now on. Absolutely love it. Even tested it by trying to download Pirate Bay torrents that I knew were infected and Webby didn't let them get through. However I have a question that I know will make me look like a "computer schmuck" but the truth is I am! When I ran a system analaysis on Webroot yesterday it gives me a score of 99% but it started sayIn I have a hardware problem by saying, "Graphics Ram is low which is impacting performance". I went to intel and downloaded an update for it but Webroot is still stating that. Also, my System Mehanic utility repair states everything is fine and no problems. Can someone tell me how to fix this? This is a new computer only a week old and everything about this started yesterday. Thanks and I appreciate your help! P.S. I really am not computer smart so please reply as if you were talking to a cave man. Thanks! -Bill

Well well well. This is interesting. Having another issue due to Catalina so I called Apple. In the call I also advised them that Catalina broke Webroot. Apple says I don't need Webroot antivirus software. They say I don't need any antivirus software. They said and I quote: "Webroot is actually something that has been incompatible and not recommend to use as well as any other antivirus for multiple software updates now." "We do not recommend you use an antivirus on a Mac it actually inhibits the security on the machine." I asked: "The Mac protects me without it?" The answer: " That is correct."
Has anyone else received an email from Best Buy/Geek Squad stating that their WebRoot anti-virus software will automatically be credited? I tried to get a response from BestBuy, but their online tech named Kasey said it was a scam and that I would need to pay the full $49.99, and not the $29.99 stated in the email. I was a bit disappointed in their reply. I realize that WebRoot is not BestBuy or the Geek Squad, but WebRoot has partnered with them so hopefully someone from WebRoot or a user in the community can respond to my question and concern. Has anyone else received this type of email and did your subscription renew automatically? Thank you. PS: If someone from WebRoot would like to see the original email, I would be glad to forward to your security department.
I'm helping someone tune up their computer, and we're trying to remove Webroot Filtering Extension. There is no way to disable or remove from Chrome - it's grayed out. Webroot is no longer on the computer, therefore there there is no uninstall option. Pertaining Info: Running Windows 7 Tried to use the Webroot CleanWDF.exe and Webroot Toolbarfix.exe Tried to completely uninstall Google Chrome including all hidden folders Then tried to reinstall Google Chrome- the dam thing respawns in Chrome Tried to clean up the registry of any Webroot lines, then uninstall chrome and reinstall - still spawns Tried CCleaner to remove extensions in chrome, but it states it cannot because its controlled by something or ? (can't remember) As you can tell I've also done extensive research on the net - This is crazy - how do you take this extension off Chrome BTW: I was able to successfully remove from IE and Firefox, but absolutely nothing works to remove it from chrome!

Right-click the Webroot icon in the bottom right corner next to the time. (If the icon isn't there, reveal all icons by clicking the triangle in front of the icons.) 2. Click View Status. 3. From the main interface, click the gear next to PC Security. 4. Click the Block/Allow Files tab. 5. Under Block/Allow Files, click the Add File button in the bottom right corner. 6. Navigate to (C:Program Files (x86)GoogleChromeApplicationchrome.exe) 7. Double click on the newly added entry for chrome. 8. In the right column, select the (Allow) radio button next to the recently added file. If this works you can also add an exception for Firefox

Webroot keeps asking me for full desk access over and over. I check my system preferences to make sure it’s checked and it is. I even removed it from the list and added it back again. It will start scanning for a few minutes and the Systems Preferences window pops up again. I have uninstalled and redownloaded the app several times and it still keeps asking me for full disk access. Hello everyone,,I'm curious on what others are doing with Windows Defender on Windows 10 if Webroot (or any other A/V's for that matter) is installed (and I want to Webroot to be the main/only A/V) ? If "best practice" is to turn off Webroot, how are you all doing this with your RMM (disable ALL Windows Defender related services, something else ?)
